The brighter the light the more blind the bats become. But that is because they are naturally nocturnal animals. The most puzzling is with some human beings, specifically, some Eritreans who seek the solution of their misery from the very transparent enemies who have been openly and willfully engaged to uproot and decimate them.

Adding insult to the pain however is their ever deepening and blistering hatred towards each other which has now gone beyond politics, religion, ethnic into intra-ethnic dimension. Even the Historic Liberation Era which climaxed in the Glorious Victory in 1991 by crushing the proxies of superpowers, the amhara pseudo-supremacists, is shamelessly projected from the prism of intra-ethnic domination and operation.

To Eritrean National patriots , like myself, the burning issue is not settling grievances of the past in whatever color they might had manifested but the salvation of our Sovereignty, the Unity of our people and the territorial integrity of our country from the grip of the con artist isaias afecherqi who, it has now become crystal clear, has been engaged in clandestine subversive activities since he joined the liberation movement.

Nowadays, the social media is awash with the sad news of alleged sudden death of Brigadier General Gebrehiwet Zemikiel ( Wedi Sheqa). So many like him are also in their graves whose passed away in sudden but mysterious circumstances. But although we did not witness it, nevertheless, we are 100% sure that the con artist isaias afecherqi is the culprit because we definitely know now that since his inception with ELF in 1966, he has been systematically nipping Eritrean elites and warriors with extraordinary talents and courage to blindfold the people into the abyss he has plunged them now as prelude to the decimation of the country.

Rational human beings to whom the survival of their Sovereignty is sacrosanct( sacred, inviolable), would of necessity respond to the peril by putting their minor differences aside and coalesce to fight their mortal enemies. By the way, this was precisely what the Mighty EPLFs did to win the seemingly unwinnable war. Why then are some who profess to be Eritreans are not only not following their exemplary footsteps but also down to earth repudiating them and stirring up vicious controversies among our population ? Don’t they understand the transcendence of the nation over any of its inhabitants or sub-nationality issues?

Yes, their resort to tearing apart the foundational fabric of our society on account of some exceedingly minor short comings of our extraordinary achievement of the past is unfathomable, but only when viewed in the abstract. But when we remember that this group are spewing their venom not only supported by the villain woyane, who had unabashedly laid claim to our country and who, with expressed hatred, had deported our people from every corner of Ethiopia, but also recall their collaboration with Mengistu Haile Mariam to partition our country into religious Bantustan, then we realize that we are dealing with Ethiopians and not Eritreans.

    My genuine Eritreans,

Know thy enemies; all that glitters is not gold. Use your God given analytic mind. Never be dazzled by the grand words of the deceitful. Always watch their actions and not their forked tongue of the past and present,.

Apology First of all, I sincerely apologize for commenting in the English language to an Article written in Tigrgna. It is a literary crime — a subject that I talked about endlessly to myself in the wilderness! How on earth can indigenous ‘modern educated’ people reject their own language and culture and struggle to be a different entity. It is a perfect example of inferiority complex resulting from the effect of prolonged colonial subjugation, which Eritreans sucked-into like sponge with pride and a sense of civilization! Don’t ask me about the Professor and his ‘cacciavite’! It is ultimate pathetic. With that elongated sentiment of sadness and apology let me now throw my commentary on the Article at hand for what it is worth.

    Overall Article
The Article is well written – so easily readable. And mercifully the reader is not subjected to complex sentence structures that contain some forty-fifty words without any punctuation! Ask the proud fellow who inflated himself with pride if he had gone through Tigrigna grammar and literature in school, his blood pressure would be elevated to a dangerous level. Typical Eritrean! No tolerance for any criticism. He just can’t help it!!! He never could understand that the written version of a language is rather different in style from the written version thereof. But more seriously, he was never taught to appreciate his language, his culture, his ……… I am digressing, dangerously!

Back to the Article: The opinion expressed in the Article is of course belongs to the writer, needless to say. And we must respect it as a freedom of expression. What does all this mean? Simply put, the content and interpretation of the narration may not be similar to other people’s understanding of the subject matter. Example: The process of the Constitution described in the Article may not sit well with multitude of people equally knowledgeable on the subject matter. If we were to ask a writer – professional historian, for example – the description of the development process of the so-called Draft Constitution of New Eritrea may be way-out different. It is especially so, when the process takes place in an environment where there was no constitutional and democratic government in Eritrea. It was the ‘world’ of Issayas Afewerki Abraha who openly was (and still is) a Dictator who did ( and still does) anything in his own way, and at his own time. To pretend that there was democratic process in the building-up of a Constitution in Eritrea is outrageous, self-delusion and, at worst, a typical example of closing the eyes and plugging the ears for the benefit of individuals self-glorification and interest. It was never for Eritrea! It happened in Eritrea which involved high fluting Eritreans from around the globe, all descending upon new found opportunities for self- aggrandisement. It was like the legendary “Gold Rush” of the Wild West of the Western hemisphere. Issayas knew it; encouraged it; and used it for his own agenda. Eritrea was NEVER a democratic state in its entire history to this day. By the way, the phenomenon of educated class pouring onto newly “independent” landmass all over the globe, for their own adventure, is not new phenomenon. Eritreans are not special, needless to say. Let’s proceed.

Para 1: “ኣቶ ኢሳያስ ኣፈወርቒ ከምወትሩ ሕጊ ብምጥሕስ፡ቅዋም ሞይቱ እዩ:”
Whose (ሕጊ) Law? Let us be honest, please. It is Issayas’ game field! It is HIS Law. HE can do (and showed it in deeds) that HE can do whatever HE wants to do with Eritrean lives! Harsh words? Yes, but true – and truth hearts! Do you, Dear Reader, think that the eighty (80) opposition parties in the Diaspora; the three hundred (300) highly educated scholars around the Globe; and in general the Diaspora Eritreans safe and secured in foreign countries would jeopardise their Lives? And please, let us not kid ourselves about the orchestrated Forto Tank Show in broad day light – where Issayas got what he exactly wanted.

Para 2: “ሓድሽ ካርድ ከነውጽእ ንሕተት ኣለና።”
Let us be honest. It is not a “question” (ንሕተት ኣለና). It is an “order” and Eritreans will OBEY flatly as always like to any other dictates from the daring Dictator. Let us admit: Issayas brought down Eritrea to its knees – stripped out of its pride a long time ago. It is the greatest revenge by a daring Loner who would be going to his grave laughing at those so-called educated elites who are the fountain of knowledge and the mastery on human nature and the history of the world.

Para 3. “ከምኡ ከቢድ ሂወት ኣሽሓት መንእሰያትና ከንቱ ጠፊኡ ::”
Very true! And what are Eritreans going to do about it? What did Eritreans do when Issayas arrested his own comrade of thirty years to oblivion? What did Eritreans do when some nineteen thousand (19,000) [Issayas’ estimate] young souls perished in the Badime war that he himself instigated? What did the world-renowned Eritrean Academicians do when Issayas daringly closed the only university in the country? What are Eritreans now doing when countless young people are imprisoned for Life ……twenty three long years have elapsed >>> and it goes on. Please, be honest to yourselves.

Para 4, “እዚ ከኣ መርኣያ ናይቲ.ክቱር ንዕቐቱ ኣብ ልዕሊ ህዝብን,ሕግን, እዩ።”
Absolutely right! Issayas has a deep hatred and the lowest opinion about Eritreans. Period! Again there is no (ሕጊ) law in Eritrea – only dictate from Issayas Afewerki Abraha. Admit it!
What are Eritreans going to do about it?
    – Send beautifully written Tigrigna ‘love’ letter to Issayas as some twenty two of the highest scholars of the land did with a copy to each of his cabinet ministers?
-Or perhaps draft beautifully prepared future plan to facilitate the work of some eighty (80) opposition groups to consider?
    – Or perhaps, another ‘Berlin Manifesto’ for Issayas’ review? …….. It is an endless trail of questions.

Para 5: “ንደገፍቱ ሐድሽ መንነት ወረቐት ዓዲሉ፡ ምርጫ ጌርና ኢና ኢሉ ትያትሮ እንተሰርሓ እውን ኣይገርምን እዩ !!”
You better believe i!! Everybody will be on line to go Home i.e to the everlasting, dearest, ever beautiful and young Asmarina (meaning Eritrea) as always to claim a land, a house, a villa, a farm, to facilitate establishment of business entity and to have a good time with their children at Sawa Military Drilling Camp. Yes, Eritreanas seem to have endless bizarreness of character. Disprove it; the field is wide open, but be warned, it is full of hidden ‘dynamites’ which no educated class would ever venture on! We leave that sacrifice to the majority of the working class of the society! It has been done. Proof? Over three hundred thousands (300,000) young souls perished in a 30-year old war whose rationality is questionable (putting it magnanimously].

“2015 ስሉጥ ናይ ለውጢ – ስራሕ ክኮነልና ይምነ !”
Good Luck. Eritrea needs it [i.e. spiritual help from heaven] as it has never had any semblance of strategy designed by itself for a state hood. As always, Eritrea’s fortune depends on external force(s). And so I end this diatribe with the words of a Taxi driver in Asmara who shared his opinion to an internationally renowned foreign journalist with nostalgia: “Ahhh…. the old time was good” >>> no complication; just a peaceful servitude. THE END

Rezen, you seem to be one of our Eritrean intellectuals, who has been watching and waiting from the side line to see if somebody is going to do something about it? Have you done your part to bring change? (If you are not Eritrean don’t bother to answer)

Dear Tekea Tsgay thank you for your well written article, it clearly clarifies the drafting process of our constitution, and every Eritrean deserves to read it. As you know since we have a lot of Eritreans who cant read Tigrigna it would be great if you can get it translated into English so we can post it and repost it on several sights.
It is, and will be our constitution.
    Awetn selamn rahwan nhzbi Eritrea.
