    Ato oqbai,

Abraham MIT sure has attained immortality in your otherwise beautifully written reflection. A candle dies out by giving light to others and as Atila The Hun famously noted, sacrifice is the passion of all great men. And Abraham was not an exception to Atila’s dictum. May he rest in peace.

Ogbai, thank you for the poignantly and eloquently written tribute to our beloved friend Abraham MIT. He will be truly missed by all peace loving and patriotic Eritreans in general and by his friends in Boston. Rest in Peace dear friend. Rest in Peace.

Ato Oqbai, you are a wonderful beautiful eritrean hero, I sincerely thank you for reintroducing myself and hopefully many more, to Sir Mr Doc. Professor, unique PROUD hero ERITREAN Abrham G. GHIORGIS, who has so much to teach us, if it was not for his too early death. Wonderful idea to remind us, so we have a second chance to explore his genuine, beautiful analysis and inspiring ideas, he is and was and will be an Eritrean hero. You have now the unfortunate duty to continue to remind the youth, who are lost, uneducated and desperate for guidance will need regular reintroduction to this unique wonderful hero. when you are gone and I am still around, I promise you I will remind them of this wonderful man and his death is not the end of him. thank you

Amazing how fast time runs. It’s already been a year he departed before even his physical absence has been fully digested by his family and intimate friends. This is of course quite obvious for immortals like Abraham MIT who have left monumental memories behind.
The memory of his highly admirable academical achievements, humbleness, soberity and inspiring thoughts can always serve generations in the same way as when he was physically alive.
Those who had been in the highschool in the late 60th know exactly what it takes to be qualified for an Omega watch from Hailesellasie in the same way as those who live in America know what it takes to be qualified for MIT. This guy is so unique that he should always be remembered. His family and intimate friends should keep writing more of whatever they know about him. There’s still a lot for the future generation to learn from Abraham’s genuine personality, character and very interesting life history. He is simply immortal !

    Thank You Okbay,
Here is a good example which shows what you have said about our brother Abraham.
In 1976, Abraham visited Eritrea as a representative of ENASEA from Boston, U.S.A. During his time there he came up to Quazen (Karneshm), which is about 12 KM from Asmara. He had been separated from his family for long time and it was a golden opportunity. But Abraham chose not see his beloved family because if his beloved comrades (Tegadelti) could not do it then why should he be able to. Abraham advised us to read books in order to be successful with our education. Because of his advice many of us were able to have a fruitful education. We’ve continued this even with our kids and they, too, our outstanding readers.
