People don’t raise guns to fight with no reason . Ethiopia occupied
Eritrea illegally against our will to create conflict of armed struggle .
And Eritreans witnessed their cruelty on human lives which produced
anger and hatred toward them . In fact they conspired with western govts alliance that invited violence in our region .
To blame Eritreans fight for their right sounds like the saying ;
CHIRA BAELA HARIMA BAELA TIEWUY
But do not forget we will overcome current hardship as sovereign nation
from complicated political process for democratic reform the same way
of others past experiences .

Would you please tell me what happened to my comment that I posted last night in response to Mr. Ahmed Saleh? Actually it wasn’t even a criticism but rather an advice of encouragement making him to engage in civil discourse which is helpful and constructive to building a democratic nation. I thought your forum would be a good example and a leader of such democracy. What a failure. Hah//
I also know this, its going to be an uphill fight to have a functional DEMOCRACY in Eritrea while we have people with even a little ounce of Shaebia residue in them.

Criticism is constructive when those who are delivering it have good intentions. Berihu, well said and great observation from your side brother. It’s been quiet a long time since Assenna stopped serving all of its readers with free speech and freedom of expression. It sadly seems by the day that it (Assenna) only serves and looks after one or two individuals as they may be her only loyal paying subscribers. But as you’ve rightly pointed out it should be encouraged and backed to change for the better as it has huge potential to be the next great model of Eritrean democracy and tolerance of the opposite or radical views.

Aye Wedi Zere, in case you are new to Assenna, there are guidelines that need to be followed. We know the kind of comments Ahmed Saleh makes: He is always moderate and civil, some kind of a mediator, really. So what must have been your reason for targeting him with your criticism? This question is valid because along with some others he is targeted for his pride in being Eritrean and for standing up to those who do every thing they can to crush our morale as a people. Trying to discredit Assenna has been tried by various commentators which means you are not the first and you definitely won’t be the last. So follow guidelines and stop preaching democracy when all you care about is attacking certain individuals for reasons we can guess. Just grow up and move on already. Assenna was and will always be the voice of all voiceless Eritreans. Viva ASSENNA!!!

The old Nakfa will be discarded soon. Eritrea is printing new ones. Who will benefit? The poor have nothing to lose, the rich will lose every currency above 20,000 Nakfa. The rich needs to explain with evidence on how they got the money while the Warsay is only making 500 Nakfa per month.

What is the point of changing Nakfa? Certainly it will not solve the shortage of nakfa b/s there is no enough nakfa in circulation. Again no one will put his money to beg for max 400 dollar from his own money that is in his bank or rather iseyas’s bank. I would just convert it to dollar on black market and keep it if i have millions of nakfa. This all fuss is to just make life of Eritreans miserable and control by the mafia boss and his puppies who believe all nakfa is theirs and those who sweat for it are thugs.
