How about if I tell you the bitter truth? We, Eritreans, are one of the dumbest people on earth. We are geographically challenged (like Dawit Meconnen), intolerant, egoistic society. A guy who never seen an electric lump, until who reaches Kesela thinks the smartest person on the planet. A guy who thinks 30 kM out of Adi namn is not Eritrea. A person who thinks Eritrea is a christian country. A person who believes Eritrea is the most advanced country on the face of the planet. A person who believes that the Sudan or Ethiopia are the most backward countries compare to Eritrea. America? We can beat them any time. The Germans? Come on! We are better than them. On and on. Aliens from the planet of X? What? Plane X compare to Eritrea? It is not even close to the village of Merhano. Come on. Well, you get the point.
BTW, try to learn say Akele Guzay, Hamassien, and Seraye. Not the any other format. Got it?

      Simon,
Good observation Bro! Dawit Moconnen has a big problem with Ethiopia specially Tegaru. He never stick to the current topic or issue he bring and mix somewhat Ethiopia or woyane and repeat the same shit again and again…. I personally quit awhile ago reading his comments which has no substance except wasting time.

About our backwardness, you put it perfectly and so did the author of this article. We just don’t know where to fit against others. We were told we are better than all other blacks and we simply believe which shows how dumb we all are. Look at our leaders how useless they are. They are not even qualified to run a corner shop let alone a country. The head of HGDEF Iseyas is worse, He thinks is the best leader and Eritrea is better than Sweden. You can sum up from his comment the situation of the current Eritrea critically ill waiting for miracle to cure or to die slowly. After 24 years of distraction we reached to the cliff edge and we didn’t know where we are going to land. You can find people believe what EriTV spreads and cheer the mad leader for his achievements. Those are the people we are talking about who are the dumbest as you put it.

Mighty Simon, brother, it is really strange that even those who hate DIA keep doing and saying what he wants us to do and say. He removed the original provinces, so that we are all without history and identity, just to make happy, a few monkeys who do not seem to be sure of their “Eritreanness”. Is that the only way to let such people feel they too are Eritreans ?, I don’t think so. Anyone who was born in Eritrea and loves it, is Eritrean. Irrespective of of their origin, ethnicity, religion, race etc, if they were born in Eritrea and feel they belong to it, that is enough for them to be proud Eritreans. That said, it’s a shame when we call our provinces “North,South,East,West” as if we are in the middle of nowhere. Let’s stop using DIA coined names and use the original names of our provinces.
By the way, this is one of so many such issues, we keep repeating like ‘papagallo’ without even taking time to ponder upon, to see what we are doing or saying …
One more thing, let’s admit that, thanks to Higdef, we are one of the poorest and most illiterate countries in the world. Eritrea is at the bottom of many global statistical lists. If you want see where we are, start counting from bottom up to find where our country is standing. And yet we have a big ego.
A bit of humility is necessary, it help us to see the reality as it is.
Higdef is using our weaknesses, to continues bleeding Eritrea, there is no way to get rid of the parasite regime, unless we identify our weaknesses, and fix them though dialogue, humility, mutual acceptance and understanding.

I really appreciate the courage of those who voiced truly honest and fabulous, but outright bitter (of course, to some), opinions about our self-image that consisted of unique thoughts, stereotypes, grandiosity (unrealistic sense of superiority and uniqueness) to the extent that we have developed distorted views about ourselves, as Eritreans.

My addition: This emotional reasoning is the result of ignorance, lack of exposure, and immaturity at their finest. That is why we are in a serious mess, politically, socially, economically, and emotionally. Until we wake up to these facts, we will never get out of the mess. We definitely need such constant reminders not to get bogged down with such type of damaging emotional reasoning. I will not be exaggerating if I say, questioning our self-image will be the foundation of being great in future.
