Dear Asena listeners and readers, as you probably know, Asena is being fully funded by a few Eritreans who live all over the world.  The transmission fee to Eritrea has been a challenge but Asena was able to stay on the air because of few committed individuals.  The extraordinary work that Asena is doing is not a secret. Asena has been getting positive feedback from inside and outside the country.  And those encouraging words have been motivating us, Asena Media Foundation and the few individuals, whoa re determined to move forward and do whatever it takes to speak out for the poor and the weak, young and old.

The torch of hope and change, however, won’t be sustained without the helping hand from us. Therefore, let’s get organized and become ‘Friends of Asena’.  Organize three people and let the three people organize another three.  Make a one time contribution of $20.00 or $30.00 and that is all we are asking for.  Don’t let freedom of speech die again under your watch.  Not now. At the moment, satellite radio broadcasting has pierced Eritrea’s dark skies; tomorrow we will have our independent newspapers back.
