SinaiSources say, around 10 African refugees, including Eritreans, have been killed in an inhuman way by human smugglers in Sinai, Egypt, after they had been held for more than two months in secret underground locations.

According to the information, the human traffickers are holding 70 victims altogether, and they are demanding 5 thousand US dollars from each and every of the asylum seekers who have been trapped on their way to safety in Israel and elsewhere.

The sources also indicate, that the smugglers are using extreme methods of torture, including electric shock to force the victims make the illegal payments. Six female hostages from the group have also been taken to a separate location. The sources suspect they will be more vulnerable at the hands of the smugglers.

This kind of illegal underground activity has been a regular reoccurrence in this part of the world for some time, but little has been done to stop it. All those who have the influence and responsibility to end the human suffering and the underworld that is sustaining it are urged to do everything in their power.
