My brothers and sisters in the crying beloved Eritrea, these blind supporters are hostages of the old Jebha, Sha’bia, region and religion polarization and they are going to wakeup once the mafia regime is thrown to the garbage of history.

Blind supporters can never be convinced like we can see blind supporters of Dergue regime till today. What is possible is to convince and mobilize the innocent people if we are good enough to achieve that.

Eritrean culture promotes human values of being fair to one another and knowing how to cooperate in daily life
but we are not prepared for what confront us in reality . In politics we face opponents who will do anything to
gain upper hand . More troubling and complex as we experience until this moment are the fight we face with those
supposedly who should have took side with their people . What anyone said either pro or con doesn’t matter because
reality on the ground and deeds don’t lie to naked eye .
Like many sociologists and psychologists had argued , sometimes to solve problems and to reconcile differences
it requires to go through conflicts . But when forced to fight , the price of hidden costs often lead blindly
to self-destruction and exhaustion on both side .
It is sad to observe people under guard for worst fate hang themselves through their self-destructive tendencies .

    1. There are those who are supporting PFDJ while understanding what is going on. These guys will not be convinced, because they are doing it on purpose. So we have to challenge them on every move they take.-
    2. There are those who trust what ever comes out of the mouth of PFDJ executives. Most of these are tough to convince. Even if they hear it from a close family member. They have to experience it by themselves to believe what is going on. Even if something happens to them, it will take them a long time to realize what is happening, because they believe it is a mistake. (Remember Dejen, it took him more than 2yrs)
    3. There are those who are supporting PFDJ just because their parents told them to. YPFDJ. These group are open minded. Easy to convince as long as you know how to approach them. They have lived in a democratic environment, so easy to notice the extreme human rights abuse and unconstitutional governance. Could be used to get to their parents mentioned on number 2.
    4. There are those who does not participate in any political activity or discussion. They don’t want to involve in any way. Some can be convinced by telling them that “They are hurting Eritreans by not speaking for the voiceless.
And the out of sort ones,
    5. There are those who blindly oppose PFDJ. Not knowing what the reasons for opposing PFDJ are. Who oppose everything just because PFDJ did it. These need a lesson on what the opposition is all about so that they will be able to convince PFDJ followers.

What about those colonized by colonial mind set?

      • TwoWayStreet August 4, 2014

        jgna, can you please elaborate?

We can convince supporters by showing them how democracy, rule of low, order and trusting each other looks like in reality.
We can not convince even our selves if we do not trust each other, are ill organazed and un democratic. The only thing we have in common is that we want a regime change. Opposition members should ask themselvs. Am I democratic, tolerant and transparat? If most of the oppostion members can answer yes to these questions then we will have a change soon. But as I see it we the opposition are far behind and not better than PFDJ.
The oppostion should learn not to underestimate PFDJ. PFDJ are much better organised and dedicated. The oppostion should stopp bieng so arrogant and aknowledge their own problems first.
My advice is to start från the scrach and see what is missing.

It is difficult to convince the BLIND PFDJ. Because, the problems are deep rooted. They do not know what wrong doings they have. They assume that everything what they did and believe is correct. The reason is they see everything in a COLONIAL MIND-SET. For example, 1) they believe in fake-superiority. so, when Eritreans suffer some where (eg sinai) their mind do not accept. No ‘how come’ they ask. and reject; 2) eitrea is surrounded by enemies, they should fight all these enemies and defeat. 3) we should be detached from anything that attaches as to our past history. Delete and forget everything. Fabricate new history, ya, ‘new good history’ that matches the colonial legacy; etc, etc, etc. we can go on listing. So, to convince those fake individuals, you should start from convincing these drawbacks of theirs, which is very difficult. The only way out is to vanish those people.

don’t you have problems to deal with in Tigray? Where is this “Eritreans think they are superior” thinking coming from? It is only expressed by Tigray people mainly the one who were born in Eritrea or are half Eritreans. When did you do the research to come to the conclusion of “colonial mindset and fake-superiority” about the Eritrean people? Your statement says more about you, than the Eritrean people. Are you like DIA who is full of hate, resentment, anger, baseless rage and wants to vanish the Eritrean people? FYI, People don’t vanish other people. We should learn from history. Hitler tried to vanish the Jewish people and he couldn’t do it. He was killed like a dog he was.

      What is this all about?
Statement like: “fabricate new history, fake country, fake people and so, on and so, on..” Eritrean people existed before the Tigrayan and Ethiopian. You are reading the fake history put together by the Amhara king Haile Selassie. Eritreans know our history. You need to go back and check what you think you know about our people and country.

How can we convince blind supporters of the PFDJ?
Good question! Here is the honest answer.
by telling them the truth ” The prophecy of Isaiah on chapter 6 that is written prophecy as it is going applies on them, in Eritrea.

Heir is the mission, which Isayas Afeworki received from the lords of this world. Specially from his lord Haile selasse of the Ethiopia. But first, Do not tell me when Isayas selected by his name similarity with Prophet Isaiah was by accident.
…Then i heard the Lord said, “Whom shall i send? Who will be our messenger?” I answered,
” I will go!send me! So he told me to go and give people to give this message: ” No matter how much
you listen, you will not understand. No matter how much yo look, you will not know what is happening”
Then he said to me, “MAKE THE MINDS OF THIS PEOPLE DULL, THEIR EARS DEAF, AND THEIR EYES BLIND, SO
THAT THEY CAN NOT SEE OR HERE OR UNDERSTAND.” IF THEY DID, THEY MIGHT TURN TO ME AND BE HEALED.”
I asked, “How long will it be like this, Lord?” He answered,”UNTIL THE CITIES ARE RUINED AND EMPTY
UNTIL THE HOUSES ARE UNINHABITED- UNTILL THE LAND ITSELF IS A DESOLATE WASTELAND. I WILL SEND THE
PEOPLE FAR AWAY AND MAKE THE WHOLE LAND DESOLATE. Even if one person of ten remains in the land,
he too will be destroyed; he will be like the stump of an oak tree that has been cut down.”
(THE STUMP REPRESENTS A NEW BEGINNING FOR GOD´S PEOPLE.)
so far the God`s word from the scripture
(Bible) from the book of prophet Isaiah ( capital 6 number 8-10) That is exactly is what applying in Eritrea!
So my people let`s pray and fast, so that Almighty God Gives us mercy, like he gave mercy to the biggest city of Nineveh (ነነዌ). As you may know the story specially the bible leaders, God was through his prophet Jonah ordered to prophecy “The city of Nineveh with in 40 days as it will be destroyed!” But the people of Nineveh believed God´s massage. So they decided to fast and from the greatest to least, put on sackcloth to show that they had repented. When God that shows because pities to the people we know as gave them mercy. Read book of Johnah specially (Jonah, Chapter 3; 1-10) So, Almighty God to prevent us from possible disaster and to give us mercy Let all Eritreans like people of Nineveh fast and repent.

By telling them now the southern most border of Eritrea is Godiaf. Then they will shift their attention to what is going on instead of acting defenders of the region.

A hungry fox, while searching for food in the forest, saw a grapefruit up a grapevine. She jumped again and again. And after her repeated attempts to reach the grapefruit failed, she said, “after all the grapes are sour” and left.

I can imagine what Issayas is saying right now. “After all the US-Africa summit is meaningless/fruitless”. “I wouldn’t have attended even if I were invited”.
