Nowadays we really hear shocking movements of PFDJ in the heart of Europe. The dictatorial regime tries all the means to kill its opponents even outside their country. Europe is no longer a safe place for Eritreans. Even the human rights activists who are sympathetic with our people are also being the targets of the regime. As we have heard in Holland, a human right activist Prof. Miriam was taken to court by YPFDJ member to silence any voice that stands against this criminal mafia regime. This court case also should open a door to thorough investigation about the assassination of Col. Kahsay in Holland. Could it be any relationship between YPFDJ and the death of Kahsay?

Journalist and interested guys can trace the death of Col. Kahsay and should disclose the facts to the general public. Col. Kahasay arrived in Holland 2013 via Libya and asked for political asylum as an ordinary person. He was in the Camp of Wagenigen and did his interview in Arnhem Zewinar and then he was transferred to a camp in the south of Holland near the Germany border. We were told that he was threatened by a group of Eritreans as soon as he arrived in the camp. But this group of young Eritreans were not the asylum seekers, they might be YPFDJ thugs. Col. Kahsay told his roommates about what has happened to him. He said to his roommates “If any thing happens to me, you have to know that those guys have killed me.” Those could be referred to PFDF.

After two weeks Col. Kahsay was taken from his camp to the Germany border and found dead. The Dutch police found his body but no details were reported to the public. This incident took place in the late 2013.

Eritreans in Holland were asking many questions about Col. Kahsay and little information was given. Some people reported that Col.Kahsay was a member of Eritrean Defence Force and was imprisoned for sometime in Kershelli Asmara. As soon as he was released from the prison he made his way to Sudan then to Libya and finally made to arrive in Holland. He was a married man and left children. His home village is located around Mendefera.

After If heard the interview of veteran fighter Yemane T/Gergis in Assenna, I concluded that col. Kahsay could also be killed by the same manner. Eritreans who live in Holland and those who know Col.Kahsay can share their experience and his full name and details if possible. Because it is possible that YPFDJ could be active in such crimes too.

Thanks

Adil Saleh

We consulted Eritreans in the Netherlands for further information and they sent us links of an investigative TV and magazine report about the incident by Radio Bremen.

The dead man in the Bürgerpark A refugee from Eritrea depends dead on a tree in the Bürgerpark . The case quickly became clear to the police : Suicide . However, the lawyer of the dead contradicts . Your client had been threatened , she says . A team of journalists from buten un binnen and the Dutch media Argos and OneWorld goes in search of clues and encounters controversial inconsistencies . Be The longer the search , the greater the doubt to a suicide of Kahsay Mekonen .

The search starts in the Bürgerpark. There, journalists can find the rest of a belt. It is the belt that hung with the Kahsay Mekonen on the tree. The police have not completely removed it. Frank Passade, the spokesman for the Staatswanwaltschaft which is clearly embarrassed: "Apparently it's been missed by the police to secure the belt afterwards," he says. The belt is a symbol for the rest of the investigative work. The case is far from finished. Besides, many questions have never been clarified. Kahsay Mekonen had "scared to death" Why a man should commit suicide, whose application for asylum was just upheld in the Netherlands only? Moreover Kahsay Mekonen was going to bring his family to Utrecht. What he wanted in Germany? Around two weeks before his death, Kahsay Mekonen has bought in the Netherlands, a train ticket to Berlin. First he is the train to Berlin, then to Brunswick and finally went to Bremen four days later over Hannover. In Bremen Kahsay Mekonen was ten days. To date, no one knows where. When they found him, he had neither a jacket nor a bag with him - the middle of winter. Why were the refugees from nearly half of his salary for a ticket to Germany? He spoke neither German nor English.
But that's not the only absurdity: "A few weeks before he died, to Mr. Mekonen told his friend that he is afraid dread And if something happens, then there are probably the two men were from the refugee camp, the.. have threatened him, "says Dutch lawyer Leonie Sinoo Mekonens. Threats in refugee camp Journalists meet the friend. He confirmed everything. He had gone to the police after the disappearance Mekonen Mr and told of the threat. But the investigators who interrogated the accused men then not. Why not? "We are not in charge," said the Dutch police in Utrecht. Because Kahsay Mekonen died in Germany, it was a case of the German police. However, the German investigators do not feel it has a duty ". This threat has indeed taken place in the Netherlands We are not simply responsible," says Frank Passade. Therefore, the German police have this not taken into account in the investigation. Influence of the Eritrean regime extends up to Europe Here died, threatened there. And then asks the police not after? Here, just a dispute between Eritreans have a serious background, says the Eritrea-specialist from the University of Tilburg, Mirjam van Reisen: "The Eritrean regime has a long arm, also in Europe, with a vast network of informants people here in Europe. be put in fear and terror, if they do not meet the requirements. " Contacting organ dealers? And there's a second track: staff from the refugee camp suspect Kahsay Mekonen had to do with an organ trafficking ring Menschenschleuser- and. He had a backpack, carrying the refugees as a sign of recognition. This information was the lawyer Sinoo to the prosecutor continued. However, the Dutch police has not notified to the German authorities. And that's why the German investigators have not pursued these trace. Fresh puncture marks and atypical posture In this case, this track is compressed when the coroner discovered a fresh puncture site on the arm of Mekonen. Was tested in Germany, the blood of Eritreers? Should he might pay with an organ for his escape? All this was never tested.
Prosecutors adheres to the forensic reports . Accordingly, a third party fault can not be determined . This conclusion allows for the opinion . However, it was formulated unclean, says Frank van de Goot , a renowned forensic pathologist from the Netherlands . He discovered more evidence , as an atypical body posture of the dead and a greatly enlarged brain . Both admit a different conclusion : " There are other possibilities Maybe it's better to specify : . . Cause of death is not safe hanging is a very good way , other causes have not yet been ruled out . " After one and a half years of research , it remains unclear why and how Kahsay Mekonen died . What is certain is that the police did not answer crucial questions . An interactive drawing explains clues that allow other conclusions than a suicide .

He survived enough through hardship life experience . It doesn’t make a sense to say he kill himself after he succeed to reach final destiny
and the hopeful waiting to see his family join him near future .
It looks Eritreans did the crime as he expressed his fear to his roommates .
Did the investigators had information about the identity of those
    suspects ?

To me it seems hgdef mafia are every where in the world but we need to understand that the real mafia are very close to the dictator. When I say that as one fighter who left the dictator said that when wuchu had drunk & told him …four top generals had meeting with president & that meeting was that to make all military leaders should be from hammasien particularly from carnishim. General wichu said that to co worker that he thinks that fighter was from hammasien…& I see here in the west that kind of situation ..they have a basement meeting all the time after any people meeting. If it quakes like a duck, and waddles like a duck,it is a duck.Since the tenure of HGDEF, any mysterious murder, disappearance, you name it, that happened to an Eritrean citizen at home or in diaspora ,directly or indirectly they are accountable.I don’t need to specialize in forensic science to indict the perpetrators.

Police should investigate this case, before the same happens to others.

It look like this a trend, the Chicago man was said he hanged himself at a park too, his story was posted here on Assenna, it was 2 or 3 months prior to New York, demonstration, for Justis, may be this people (HGDF) are gone too far , this is unacceptable we need to help them investigate thoroughly, very scary for justice seeker every where.

We have only one decisive solution on our hands, that is uniting ourselves and dislodge Shabia regime once for all from Eritrean soil. If this can not ensure then we should not surprised to see such barbaric acts against Eritrean citizen where ever they reside.

    Hi everyone,

I am one of the Dutch journalists who investigates the death of Kahsay Mekonen.

For those who read Dutch (or use google translate). We have published our main findings on the website: http://www.delaatstereisvanmekonen.nl.

Kahsay Mekonen was from Haddish Adi / Hantsesa. He arrived in the Netherlands in September 2013. Where he lived in the asylum centre in Leersum. He disappeared just before Christmas in December 2013. We found that he travelled to Berlin (21th of Dec), to Braunschweig and via Hannover to Bremen (where his body was discovered on the 5th of January 2014). We are still looking for clues on what he did during this journey through Germany. Is there anybody who met him? Who knows where he was sleeping? Why he was even there?

We have no hard evidence that the PFDJ / YPFDJ is involved in this. Although we also have no evidence that excludes that politics has something to do with his dead.

We have some indications that he was threathened by people smugglers. And that his dead might have something to do with organ trafficking (paying for your journey or the journey of relatives by donating a kidney).

Please contact me and share your thoughts if you know more. We appreciate the smallest details. My email: sanneterlingen@oneworld.nl

It is important to analyse the contents of his asylum-interview. This could be brought in relation with the translator (!!!!). By the way who was the translator? Nowadys we have a problem worldwide with YPFDJ and their sympathysants. Most of them translate the newcomers from Eritrea and 1) they are not in a state to translate correctly 2) they destort the statements of the syslum seekers in favour of DIA-regime (spying, misinforming,…etc).

This is realy a very serious problem which could stand also in relationship with the Prof. Van Reisen (phenomena) issue. Now we have no other alernative than to protectz/save ourselves from these PFDJ-gangsters all over the world. There is also no problem to liquidate them, as we know each other only well. We have to report all known datas about these criminals to the respective local police station or better to Inter-Pol (international police)

It is the duty of Inter-pol to snatch criminals / human Traffickers intelligently and bring order and security in the world.

It is also very sad to see what we, Eritreeans, have become – very low. People from the origin of the human kind, with soooo highly civilized inherited culture !

To the PFDJ – people! Enough is enough, come to your sense ! Think and see what dirty things you have already done or are still doing – shame on you ! Peace and love are stronger than your crimes from which nobody profits. Eritrea belongs to all Eritreans, why do you think you were better Eritreans only because you serve one idiot person, whom nobody has elected to be a president (except he himself) as said it !

    Thank you !

We found the translator/interpreter – not one of the YPFDJ-related people working for the immigration service. Unfortunately, the interpreters (two of them) didn’t remember anything specific regarding his asylum procedure. He fled Eritrea because people accused him of being opposition after a dispute about his late fathers land.
