ወልዱ ባርያ፡ ሳላ’ቲ ምስ ኢሳይያስ ዝጸንሖ ጥቡቕ ዕርክነት፡ ዋላ ብደረጃ መዓርግ ጀነራል ከምኣዘዝቲ ሰራዊት ንዝሰርሑ ላዕለዎት ሓለፍቲ ከይተረፈ መሊኹዎም ኳ እንተጸንሐ፡ ከምቶም ዝቐደሙ ገንሸላት መዓልቱ ኣኺላ፡ ናይ ቀይዲ ሪጋኣኡ በጺሑዎ ከምዘሎ እቶም ምንጭታት የረድኡ።
ኣብ ቦታ ወልዱ ባርያ፡ ሓላፊ ከቢድ ብረት ዝነበረ ወዲ ሞኬ (ጸሃየ መኮነን) ክሽየም ከሎ፡ ኣብ ቤት ማእሰርቲ ህግደፍ ተኣሲሩ ክላዲ ዝጸንሐ ሰለሙን ራሻይዳ ኸኣ፡ ከም ሓላፊ ከቢድ ብረት ንወዲ ሞኬ ተኪኡዎ ከምዘሎ ተፈሊጡ።

Five years ago when I went back home to visit my family. I happened to be at “Asha golgol”, the office of Woldu Barya. I saw the late Saleh Meki, waiting outside the office of wedi Barya for more than one hour, because he had to deal about vehicles of the ministry of health. I could see from his face how nervous and degraded he felt. It is absurd that a full minister and doctor had to wait in front of the office of an illiterate. He was given responsibility beyond his ability. One commented: ” Srah inda wedi Afom bel r’ayo kemzi iiyu”. Who comes first: the interests of Eritrea or the whims of Isaias? I felt offended and humiliated No one can run a country with illiterate officials. And this is the system that we are challenging. I am an eye witness!

Our God given right to live free and enjoy what he offers us in his world should not taken away by some evil doers. The iron cages of HGDF junta for those who lived behind it and for those who have knowledge about it caused an obscure of memory of fear. There are proud, courageous people of principle and moral to stand in the face of those who master opression. We might avoid the punishment and suffering but we can not learn, change and live free as honorable people if we do not dare to take a risk to get ahead and solve our difficulties. Chained by left-over attitudes make some people self-maid slaves, they choose to forfeit their own freedom. Only the brave rise to challenge a regime that tolerate no dissent. The one battle most people lose is the battle of fear, to see change risks must be taken. Our history on struggle should be considered an example to win over fear.
