There are many like you my dear of whom we have never heard anything. Many heroes who have been neglected after we won independence. And now you passed away, without me ever doing anything for you, but on the other hand you gave your youth and were ready to give your life for me. I was a coward, I must admit it, and talked much about this and that withouth contributing anything in fact. I hope you will forgive me. And I hope I will at least now start to help those veteran fighters who are still suffering in the refugee camps. May your soul rest in peace.

    • Fithawi September 11, 2013

      What heroes?
For me,these old and ugly creatures are bandits(I used to be angry when the Ethiopians were calling them wenbede)but indeed they were/are coward shefatu who fought in the name of independence only to groom the most evil man in the world and to let him do whatever he wants and to the extent of destroying once ambitious nation and its people.Remember, you are calling these people heroes when they are even unable to defend themselves leave alone the people they bragged of liberating when the fact of the matter is they paved the way for the evil to enslave, rape, execute, imprison and mistreat inhumanely the people.
Its fresh on our mind when these cowards that you call heroes looked the other way when their disabled comreds were summarily executed in Mai Habar in 1994 for demanding kitchen table issues.Even the so called G-15 who became the late victims of the tyrant looked the other way too when all the atrocities were unfolding in front of their. They should have known that the beast they worked so hard for was waiting for 0 hour to attack them. The so called heavy weight champions (G-15)of the shifta organization were thrown into the abyss like a street thug for no one to mention their names again.
I will leave you with this useful message of a pastor who was a victim of Nazi Germany in 1945. “When they came after the Jews,I didn’t speak because I was not a Jew,
When they came after the communists,I didn’t speak because I was not a communist,When the came after trade unions,I didn’t speak because I was not a member,When the came after me,nobody was left to speak for me.”
May God help Eritrea and its people,

Happy ” Be’al kudus yohannes” for all of you,

      • Kalighe September 12, 2013

Fithawi, only a coward like you calls ‘tegadelti’ with disability shiftas.
Tell us what you have done for your country.
        Shame on you, bastard !!

        • Fithawi September 12, 2013

If your understanding of English is a little impaired, let me help otherwise, stop behaving like the shiftas in Asmara.I did not say the disabled victims of Mai Habar “shefatu” but what I said was the shefatu that he is calling heroes looked the other way when their disabled comreds were gunned down by the beast in a broad day light for simply being “kebetbet or hankikom” Even the G-15 were mute when the massacre was happening as if the beast didn’t catch up with them. These are not the “tegadeltti”we grew up hearing about. The fearless, immortal, just and protective so called tegadeltti turned out to be impotent, emasculated and cowards that can’t even defend themselves leave alone the people they brag of liberating.

Ruhus be’al hadish amet for all of you,

          • Michael September 12, 2013

            FITHAWI ,
If I were to comment I would start by blaming myself for not throwing even a small stone in an effort to rescue my people from the current inhuman oppression they are being exposed to. At the same time I would be ashamed to point my finger to my vigilant older brothers and sisters ( heroic fighters) who spent their golden ages to eradicate the colonizing govts. of Ethio. For me to to accept such a comment given by you , at least I have to make sure that the comentator is TEGADALAY/TEGADALIT. They have done their part although their dream was hijacked. Leave them and respect them and do your part on the ground. otherwise It’s sheer naive of you to disrespect the comment of seb dekey. I have agreed with kalighe to the full.
            RESAH…!!!!

        • Michael September 12, 2013

          THUM UP…!!!!!

          • Michael September 12, 2013

            THUMP UP KALIGHE….!!!

      • haben September 12, 2013

You make me cry you bastad. Assena.com should remove you from this web. Bisbis dikala. I do not care who you .

        • Fithawi September 12, 2013

          Haben & Michael the dirties,
No need to argue with animals like you back and forth. It makes me wonder though, when you are going to learn to disagree respectfully. When the message is too strong, you resort to name callings, slander and defamation just like the shifta boss in Asmera.
Again, why would I respect the shiftas that brought immeasurable and unpredictable miseries, agonies, death and all kinds of atrocities on my people.Tell me why I respect these people who don’t have the gut to protect their disabled comreds when they were mercilessly massacred on broad day light leave alone the people. They are even impotent enough to defend themselves when they have the gun and the bullets.I would NEVER shed a drop of tear for those who made the monster(dictator)what he is today. When Ibrahim Afa and many other true freedom fighters were gunned down, they looked the other way as they did with so many other immeasurable crimes committed in front of their eyes but it was all a matter of time before the beast caught up with them. They are equally responsible for all our woos and they deserve what they got.

          • Suleiman Salim September 12, 2013

            Fithawi,

You speak a lot of nonsense like a crazy person. How dare you speak about the President and Ibrahim Afa in such a direspectful manner? Why don’t you keep your arrogance and ignorance to yourself and shut up your mouth?

      • MightyEmbasoyra September 12, 2013

        Zeyfithawi,
Shame on you. Don’t have a single cell (I don’t think white or red), that took from your Kuburat family?
I never heard of this hero but he has spend his beautiful time for the sake of the country.
Some of you should visit a psychiatric hospital – seriously.
        RIP our hero!!!

      • Genet September 13, 2013

Good for you! You Just Told Everybody the hard TRUTH. But, Remember, the average tegadeltis are/were victims themselves. They never been shefatu. For the G-15, they were too little too late. They allow a coward killer to overpower them and they took every body with them. Because they taught they were immune from the cruel killer. He blindsided them. They taught he was their comrade. He never been their comrade; he was using them to get the upper hand in Eritrea. Indeed, “When they came after me, nobody was left to speak for me”

    • Kokhob selam September 12, 2013

      Weyseb Deqey,

what have you done? you just put a book that teaches wisdom. i realy respect people who respect heroes.

let’s learn now that heroes need our voice not only after death but while they are alive. allow me to say you are also hero and i am proud of you.

      • ahmed saleh September 12, 2013

        Fethawi
Wake up man , those ELF disabled veterans in Sudan were forgotten long time ago to die in foreign land . The
same goes to EPLF disabled veterans . So why do not shut up to get respect unless you want to offend the already
touched heart of many principled compatriots . Think twice before you comment , no need to offend own brothers .
Do not forget , our people are victims of dirty politics and respect the victims .

        • ahmed saleh September 12, 2013

In fact , we neglect them big time to enjoy Eritrean independence including me .
          GOD BLESS THEM ALL .

        • Suleiman Salim September 12, 2013

Wake up man , those ELF disabled veterans in Sudan were forgotten by the CRIMINAL LEADERSHIP OF JEBHA long time ago and left to die in a miserable situation.

          • MightyEmbasoyra September 12, 2013

            Salim,
I was thinking of replying you but it is not worth it.

  • Dawit Meconen September 11, 2013

In absence of rainfall this Winter, catastrophy is in the making in our country. This will be the worst ever; our people and their live-stocks will drop off like autumn leaves unbeknown to the world. Because this was what Isaias Afewerqi has been diligently working and waiting for, he will keep the tragedy underground.

Remember, in 2010, people of Qohain in Seraye were facing similar circumstance and yet none of us knew, let alone the world community because Isaias Afewerqi had effectively sealed the information.

Neither did he allow them assistence, and when they could not get, they came to Asmera in their tens of thousands and he took them back by buses. They immediately returned, and again,he took them back. No one knows how many perished but I am sure they could many thousands, specially with the volnurable groups, the children, elderly, pregnant women, the mortality must have been high.

I got the information by pure coincidence when I went to Eritrea in 2011. Perturbed by the overwhelming number of beggars in Asmera, the high concentration of which was in the Bus Stations, Enda Mariam, street corners, bars, etc., I asked my friend, who resided in Asmera, why there were so many beggars? and he responded unamzed that last year, 2010, the whole people of Qohain were here begging………………..

    • Suleiman Salim September 11, 2013

In Ethiopia there are still a lot of beggars, millions and millions of them, while the international communities sends a lot of money and food to the cursed country.

      • ahmed saleh September 13, 2013

XINBILALI’E MEAKORA KEY KHEDENET MERIET KITKHEDN TIFTN . Please cover your behind first then you can go
        to help Ethiopians .

    • Genet September 13, 2013

I don’t think the beggars in Asmera are from the only neglected people of Qohain area. In 2007 I saw in my own eyes women and children from the city of Asmera begging on the street corners.

  • Forto September 11, 2013

May God reward you the paradise. I promise you, we will gain back our freedom and our dignity. It is a promise.

    • Suleiman Salim September 11, 2013

      Forto,

Eritrea is already a free and an independent country. If you like bloodshed join one of the gangsters in the West.

      • Suleiman Salim September 12, 2013

Are you saying that we should not tell the truth? Jebha was not a small shop. It had a lot of money. Where is the money? Ahmed Mohammad Nassar should be arrested immediately if he ventures into the Sudanese soil.

        • ahmed saleh September 13, 2013

I do not see mature approach on your comments to learn a little bit out of you , So It not worthy
