Alazar fought for the Liberty of Eritrea as of 1958. He was jailed because of “Mahber Shewate” from 1961 to 1963. He joined Elf as a cell member on 1965 and joined ELF in field in 1974. He was dismissed with his copatriots in 1981. He became refugee in Germany in 1983 and yet continued his struggle for independence.

One of our forgotten unsung hero who dedicated his life passed away in
exile where many will follow in same predicament until situation inside
the country settled .
Rest in peace Hawna Alazar product of my hometown GHEZABANDA the mother
of patriotic children . Leaving behind the place we grew up at younger
age left us disconnected to loose memory of childhood surroundings .
