I have a grave fear that Eritrea will not survive as a nation after the Demise of this brutal Devil regime , they are making sure that the country headed to civil unrest and disintegrate ,if nothing change soon , the regime is falling apart and is taking the country with it , we Eritreans are losing the nation before our eyes.

The regime is not falling, because the corrupt and criminal army leaders and the gestapo like security agencies are still paid well, working hard and still in full control of everything in the country. But there is no doubt that they are Somalizing Eritrea in every way possible.
When Somalia started to lose war with Ethiopia, Siad Barre wanted a retreat of the Army from Ethiopian territories they had occupied to their common borders immediately. Some officers argued about it, and it seems they wanted to army to do proper retreat that otherwise would precipitate things and harm the army. It was then that Siad Barre started to blame some military officers from north and blaming them for causing defeat. About 80 top military officers were executed.

Was the nation supposed to exist in the first place? After I read Zewde Reta’s book “Ye Ertra Guday” I have changed my mind. We should have never been an independent state it’s all the creation of Italian Colonialists!

Siad Barre had prepared his country for civil war, by using one group against the other, killing members of one group while others looked indifferent or cooperated. When he died, the Somali army was reduced into tribal militias in different parts of the country. More than 20 years of civil war, foreign interference (in particular Ethiopia and Eritrea) and Al-Qaeda affiliated criminal groups, that are bleeding the country to death. Hundreds of thousands of people have died. Despite adopting a federal system, there is very little hope that Somalia will be one country again.
We Eritreans should learn from them, work hard for unity of our people, and resist the dictatorial regime’s divisive policies. Indifference can cause irreversible damages to our country, and should feel each others pain and stand together.

All Eritrean should be outraged about the killing of our Afar People. What kind of monster kills 28 Eritreans who are members of the navy? It is clear. The dictator is crating long lasting animosity among Eritreans. It is so clear that he has some kind of revenge against Eritreans and Eritrea. I believe if we are aware of his plan for us, we can prepare for what is coming for us. If we can’t prevent the damage to our unity, at least, we can minimize it.
