Thank you for your prompt response. Please kindly look at the likes of NATIONALIST ERITREANS’ entry and do something about it. I have seen this same comment time an gain. He (or she) says’እቶም ወዲ ጎደብኦም ስለ ዘይኮነ ዝቃወምዎ ዘለዉ ካብ ቀደም ኣብ ደሞም ዝተሰርጸ DNA ወገንነትን ፍልልይን ዘለዎም እዩ’referring to one region. The is bemusing!
There are other comments similar to that as well. This kind of outlandish claims with no shred of evidence in their support.
My concern is that this kind of unsubstantiated claims are only helping to destroy our social cohesion. I suspect that these individuals are not interested in what is good for Eritrea, wittingly or unwittingly they are destroying our future. Some of this people can be pfdj or non-Eritreans posing as Eritreans.
Please promote unity of Eritreans based on common decency and equality.

We must have a deeper and broader understanding about the reality of today’s Eritrea. In the battle for justice and democracy the contribution from people who defects from the ranks of PFDJ is very crucial. Yes, Andebrhan as a senior member of PFDJ (like Mesfin Hagos and other figures) was part of the problem that is precisely why he is also an important part of the solution. Besides the opposition needs his vast international networks, his skills and above all his inside knowledge of EPLF and PFDJ. However that doesn’t mean those who defects from PFDJ and joined the opposition will get away with any crime they may have committed in the past. Tomorrow there will be a tribunal – a court of law- to hear their case one by one, such as South Africa’s “Truth and reconciliation “ or other forms of hearing and trial. To bring such issues today is divisive and counterproductive. It alienates other PFDJ members to play an active role to end repression. The fact that the writer did not identify himself to the public may have an ulterior motive. Readers must be vigilant. In such circumstances the writer is bound by law to tell who he/she is. It is not late let him/her come out.

Dear Simon and Tewoldebrhan:
Andebrhan is not in an election situation. He just wanted to contribute in the fight to end repression in Eritrea. This is a matter of right of any Eritrean and no one has a right to ask any other Eritrean not to do so. It has to be acknowledged that such issues can only be dealt properly legally in the future.
On the other hand -in this moment in time- the best thing is to be active to end the conspiracy of silence which the Eritrean opposition movements are suffering from.
Toweldebrhan: Yes there is nothing wrong with criticism if it is constructive criticism. Andebrah’s case is character assassination and defamation. Any body who has a case against any Eritrean who defected from PFDJ and wanted to pay back by working hard to shorten the life of PFDJ can do so when trials are organised after the rule of law is installed in a new and law abiding Eritrea. This is bound to be transparent, accountable – and the accused can have the right to defend themselves.

Incidentally if we can criticize Isayad, yemane monkeyd, hagos kisha for what they are doing now and if we can criticiz mesfin hagos Ali abdu, and Adhanom for what they have done in the past Why do people jump up and down whenever Andeberhan is criticised? Please is not perverse while there are our nation and people killers, to inforce innocent persons to ask us apology? Who is not served his country until knows the PFDJ´s evil behavior and got opportunity to flee? I remember how people was defaming Amanuel Iyasu while serving the country under PFDJ for gave expression,in my sight at that time to which was correct. But can you name me above than him for justice and in heighest diplomatic level above than Amb Andebirhan who playing a constructive role fighting against the dictatorship? Alone their dedication by itself is not more than any word of apology or any art of repentance? Our Perverse odd society, I saw in TV Eri, interview in one of inside Eritrea that held byckle race while inforcing Tour de France hero Daneil Tekelehaimanot to ask them apology,for he did not appear to take his Medal prize. I believe he may could had enough reason for that , but he did and asked apology. Daniel actualy he was more fit since 2010 to win Tour de France than now, but one day because of visa reason sabotage, other day because disciplinary PFDJ penalty I could guess he and we as have past 4 golden years. Imagine,to whom his nation and people gave pride worldwide while inforceing to ask them apology, but to our nation destroyer,and people killer Isayas Afeworki let alone to tell ask them apology, contrary seeing while glorifying and worshiping. the first question that come into my mind why at this time ? where are the Eritrean intellectuals at the time where our people’s agony goes beyond limit ? I believe no one is perfect and people can make mistakes but why such an attack needs at this particular juncture ? after we came to prove that what a giant force can be formed through unity ? Geneva demonstration has witnessed if people are united , no force will stand before them ?
I do not clearly know the motive of the writer ? but pointing fingers at the one who is playing a pivotal role against the tyranny will not have a worth impact rather to open a room for rather to disintegrate us and be the victims of narrow mind . we all know that ambassador andebrehan is joining hand and strive hard to facilitate the struggle against the root cause of all evil , eseyas and his junta . most Eritrean intellectuals prefer to remain silent for no apparent reason .we do not need cyber tigers rather we need one who come out of his comfort zone and do something for the helpless .

Andebrhan is an opportunist. He served Iseyas for decades while the dictator was committing horrible crimes against the people. So politically he has no future. If he is trying to be a leader in future he will definitely lose. Many ex-Higdefites are not trusted.
That said, he can work against his former master without taking anybody’s consent. It’s his right to be active politically even when very few would trust people like him.

I see some are worried that this type of discussion might lead the diasporas to some type of misunderstanding. I say wrong to that. An open discussion has more advantages than otherwise. Instead what we need is have some patience. So far and of course except some comments the most are within the boundary. So, let the discussion continue.
Back to the theme: the writer whatever his nickname is trying to warn us about Abdebrhan’s move. He supports his case by submitting an old documents that proves how Andebrhan was a corrupted official during his civil service. Thanks to that but why now? Your allegation could have sounded better had you been present them at the right time. In any case, do you have any realization that Andebrhan had beaten you two times due to your silence (first in Asmara and second in diaspora). Why did you hid these facts when people had a heated discussion about him months if not years ago? I done!

…… this is a few commentaries who are trying to twist the discussion into their hidden agenda by using xenophobia and crude assertion of regional identity. A few individuals are attacking a particular region and even trying to void its legitimate name. Unless you are here purposely to create a mayhem there is no difference between regions. Now let me take one example – Akeleguazai. Why do people think people from Akeleguazi are not egalitarians? How could someone blame one or any other region without any facts? Anyway whether we complain for a reason or not these regions are here to stay as long as the nation lives. Besides, it would have been nice if we had to treat all regions with the same respect. Akelguzai never had and never wish to have a confederate flag. Akeleguzai is just a regions’s name like :- Seraye, Hamassen, Semhar, Denakalia, Gash – Barka, Senhit ….
If not what else?
