ብዘይሥምረትዶ ዘበን ፍዳ ይወጽእ
ሰላም ምስፈቶኻያ ሰላማዊት ትመጽእ
ሠናይ ዘሪእኻ ትቖድወልካ ሰዊት
መኣስ ክንስይማ ጊዜና ሠናይት
ብምሥራቕድያ ብምዕራብ ዘላ ‘ታመርሓዊት
ፍትሒ ጽድቂንዲያ ዳናዪት
ዓዚዛ ክንርእያ ቀዳዊት
ብሥራት ኣስምዒ ዓላሊት
ዮሃና ከይንብል ሕዮባ
ሰቲ ሰላም ከይንስነስ ዕምባባ
መስከረም ብሒትኪ ጸበባ
ካብ ማይኪ ኣርሕቒ ሰበባ
ሓቢርና ክንሰሰ ኣጅቦ ምስ ጸባ።

That is true. When they want to destroy your identity and history, first they change your name, then belittle your identity and destroy your connection to your land by burning your languages. Just check out the history of many nations in the region.

It is true indeed….. all the names came out after the time of slavery to Eritrea are all based on cruelty and machoism that dismanteled Eritreas Unity.

Well said Fessehaye I cant disagree to what you are saying. Our family used to look for names based on their faith giving special regards to our forefathers names. However, with the advent of the EPLF and later PFDJ we were totally hypnotized or blinded by temporal names in a forceful yearning of being identifying ourselves with them.
Without our knowledge Isais (the dictator) had been working on inculcating the hero worship (idolizing himself) and submission to him. This has lead to the dissolution and dilution of some our important tradition and custom. Hence, I think it is very important if we start focusing on the ‘renaissance’ of our traditions.
