    Maaza and Temesgen;

Very interesting indeed you felt the need to make those statements about Ethiopia (as per Ethiopia under the minority ethnocentric junta). No need for me to detail anything pertaining the only leader in Africa who can only address his people behind bullet proof glass hurriedly on national occasions (let alone cut right across tens of thousands of concert goers in pitch dark on foot with minimal of security!). However, you have rolled the roulette and now pulled the trigger. Now bite the bullet.

      Qozami,

The old adage comes to mind. Small men talk personalities, mediocre men talk ideas and great men talk principles. Why can’t you talk principles instead of drifting on tangent as you are fixated with the, “ethnocentric minority government and a man who gives speeches caged in a bullet proof gass” as you parrot Sofia when the latter got obsessed with Meles and went on penning shallow articles through out the 90s as if there is no tomorrow. If I have to state the obvious, Ethiopia is a country of eighty million plus people with a diversified cultural and lingual settings. Sure enough, Meles can not be expected to enjoy a full blown support across the populace. But given the tremendous challenges and complex history and political dynamics of the nation, he has done well for the country. And he keeps shining on the world stage as well where Ethiopians walk with their chins held up high when the yesteryear leaders destroyed the very spirit of the nation. I can already see a hot steam coming out of your ears and sweating profusely as you read the lines. But that is the fact.

Ethiopia is transformed for better and the credit goes to the otherwise incredibly intelligent and politically savvy Meles. I am sure, you will rant about the deportation of Ethiopians of Eritrean origin but it is imperative and prudent to mention that, to his credit, he had apologized time and time again on many occasions. What remains to be sad and disheartening is, as much as Meles acknowledged and apologized about the maltreatment of Eritreans right after the Badme war, Isaias never had the heart to apologize when Eritreans of an Ethiopian origin were deported and prosecuted since the beginning of the early 90s. Simply because, in his bigoted mind set and in your likes as well, the Tigreans in particular are taken for the children of the lesser gods if you will.

As to Sofia, it is not her fault that she is far smarter than your employers, even the ‘KIND’ awate ‘Corner’ has learned he can not swim in the same “River” of her league when he kept his child rapist allegation despite $35000 in contributions. So, no amount of “manipulating” her words will get you any closer to her. Get over it.

Qozami does not merit replies. Through this last post, he has denuded himself. He is a mere provocateur.

Unwittingly however, his arrogant posts have given you, Belezet, myself, and others to show what type of principled people populate the anti Hgdef side. This compensates for wasting our time with such an ‘obdurate’ nature.

          • Temesgen Medhanie October 2, 2011

            Qozami,

Don’t even go there. Please. As much as Sofia is a disgrace to our otherwise dignified and time honoured culture, she turned her political diarrhea on Dr. Berekhet and Paulos Wedi B’Atay after she finished her morbid and crass accusations on Salih Gadi. Can you believe she would accuse him of a sexual abuse on a net where everybody have an access to read? What happened to our time honoured discretion? Why didn’t she approach him in private? Or was she trying to score a cheap PFDJ style political jibe? And here you are defending her where you condone her disgusting and gross zereba.

You said, “your ridicules Ethiophilia at this juncture…….”. Please help me out here. What is that supposed to mean? What juncture are you talking about? Do you mean, your old and tired, “Meriet’na b’tselaEi ji’Ho tetaHizu khelo” clap trap? I have to say it again, if you’re a man enough, you need to look Isaias in the eye and ask him why he started the damn war in the first place. Then only then you could accuse me of being an Ethiophilic.

      Kozami

You are blinded by Isayas. You seem to have lost your objectivity. You do not seem to be young (if you had coffee and a chat with Fitwerari Solomon over 35 years ago) and so the passage of time alone should have taught you a thing or two. Temesgen and I on one side and you on the other are like aliens to each other. We are simply oppsites in our belief and vision. For Eritrea, it was best if you were on our side. But you have chosen Isayas and it seems there is nothing we can say or do to make you budge.

Refrain from seeing and evaluating Meles through the jealous mind of your god Isayas. Use your own and you will see some objective reality. It is History that will ultimately say who Meles and who Isayas were. Meanwhile, because we are privilaged to be alive in this day and age of advanced communications technology, we can witness who is doing what from our comfortable homes, quasi instantly. I think that Isayas would have reigned undisturbed had he appeared in the 1920s like Mao Tse Tung. It took months for news to travel. It was an epoch of darkness, as goes information! Your shrewed Abat Nefsi Isayas correctly foresaw the might of the Web and effectively curtailed its use in our country. The Web played and is playing a vital role in the Arab awakening. We witnessed, in some cases (e.g. Tunusia, Egypt) the fall of entrenched tyrant s of 30 years+ without a single shot. Masses and masses of people were armed with the keen awareness of their power through the Web and matrched to the squares and the rest is history. All this by way of explaining that we are all over informed about Isayas and Meles. Isayas might want to indoctrinate us about who Meles is and what Woyane means but the times are on our side and we can have authentic information instantly without waitign to be indoctrinated. Now, if you under the spell of somebody, even thought you may be as learned as yourself, you give credence to what is being indoctrinated and totally ignore the reality on the ground.

Granted, achievement-oriented Meles likes to hang on to power. But who doesn’t? Remember Tony Blair and his reluctance to be pushed out by Gordon Brown? Even my ‘adored’ President Barak Obama has disappointed by the announced US intention to veto the application for the statehood of Palestine at the Security Council, they say, not to compromise his election for a second term. Outstanding and extraordinary as he is as a visionary leader,
this was a very bitter pill to swallow! Except for Mandela, everybody wants to hang on to power. If it is merited and lawful, why not? I woudn’t have hesitated to vote for Isayas infinite times if he had played it by the rule of law and transformed the country to a first rate one.

Last but not least, Meles Zenawi is the only African leader as a permanent participant in meetings with the power to be, the G8. This reveals a great success in diplomacy. He places Ethiopia above his whims and moods and personal likes and dislikes.

You wrote “However, you have rolled the roulette and now pulled the trigger. Now bite the bullet.” Sounds inigmatic but irrelevant and meaningless.

      • kozami October 2, 2011

        Maaza,

When you say our ‘visions’ are opposite, I take it you mean, literally, the ‘physical vision’ One would have to be seeing under duress to see anything positive of Meles or the Ethnocentric apartheid he trys to pass for a democratic system. The Brit Andrew Mitchel recently made a racist slip of tongue, according to Ethiopian patriots, when he termed Meles’ brand of democracy as “very good” by “African terms”. IMO your brand of “opposition” would badly stink even in those condescending terms of a “white cappo”.

        • Maazza October 2, 2011

          Kozami

You pretend to have a text book democracy working in Ethiopia, one that does not exist even in some European countries. You know applying democracy is a process and in continuous evolution. It has to be exercised in order to evolve. Even today’s Greece and Italy, home of the Spartans and the Roman Republic, stuggle to properly apply democratc rule. You want to have us believe that a huge, land-locked country like Ethiopia, by and large steeped in a feudal system for 3000 years, should now under Meles’s reign transform itself into first notch democracy (by a magic wand!).

Unlike ours, Ethiopia’s rullers opted to exercise democratic rule and the Ethiopian people are being given the opportunity to replace the ‘eshi getaye’ entrenched behaviour by the ballot. Is democracy at its top form in present day Ethiopia? Hell, no! But the groundwork is being done by this visionary rullers for it to take root and gorw. What more can you ask given the historical reality? Is ours better that we are told as a people we are not yet ready to exercise democracy. This is analogous to the hypotesis that until the child learns how to pronounce perfectly, kolteftef indabele, he should not be allowed to speak. Or you throw the child into the swimming pool for the first time and expect him to swim like a fish. What Meles and Co. are doing for their country is they are transforming a society to learn the art of democracy. Learning takes time.

Besides, with all the universities educating masses and masses of young people, Meles is ensuring that these better educated youth will take matters in their own hands and Ethiopia can look forwad to a much better future than ours whose youth are passing the best part of their lives in trenches and will always be dependent on an ‘enlightened and wise’ leader like Isayas & Co.

The process of learning passes through a ‘sufficiently and necessarily’ cumulative phases of continuity. Also, this process ONLY changes in pace wise and NO directional variation can be manifested. Your Tatari Temari, ethnic minority regime had dared to LEARN (hoodwink) in election 2005. I eagerly await your spin on the ghastly bloodbath that it indulged there after. After all was done and dusted, the Learner had surpassed the Spartans by margins to great to fathom. wow…99.8% land slide complete with victory speech from the shelter of bullet proof glasses. The BBC was reduced to sheer polemics and asked jokingly “what do a sports car and an Ethiopian opposition had in common?” and retorted “they both have two seats!” in search of cheap loughs. You see, you are betting on a dead horse and chances is that even death can appear to be infectious at times (i.e. as far as the so called Eritrean opposition is kept in mind).

Because of the situation in our country, there is so much bottled up rage and indignation in me, like a therapy, I am letting it all hatch! And when I have brothers like you and Amanuel Eyasu encouraging me, my joy has no bounds. Although I love to read your kind encouraging words, I am afraid I may get bloated.

The sober in me looks foreward for your critical comments on what I post (which I know is a litle bit too much) and when I do not see it, I worry a little because our focus should be crystal clear. • HGDF October 1, 2011

    Maazza, Zemen and others
What I am saying is very simple and doesn’t need so much explanation. Take this example. When dergi was killing our people no one needed to tell them how Dergi was killing them they knew it more than anyone else. No one did say to them that “Dergi is killing you because you are Zemach, Komaro, Qebaro, Denkoro, Zeyblu muhro…….” Of course EPLF said “Lomi Zeyketet bdewu kem zimote” but they didn’t call names because people refused to be part of the struggle.
My opinion is, if you believe that you are more civilized than HGDF supporters, then show us practically, not by insulting them. Otherwise you are showing us you are more uncivilized.
It may be hard to change some people and make them part of your struggle. But I have never heard of a freedom fighter insulting its own people because they refuse to join the struggle. You can insult individuals or a small group, but not people. Or you have to tell us if you have some other agendas to polarize people by calling some Denkoro, others Komaro, Zemaro, Qebaro or Zeyseb-muhro, Wategna, Masegna, Asleqash, etc… Your words are becoming more and more suggestive that you don’t have any political agendas but hatred against some group of people. It will not be very long until you drop all your propaganda against HGDEF and fully engage yourselves in insulting people.

    • Temesgen Medhanie October 1, 2011

      HGDF,

If I may interject, you’re not making any sense at all. First of all, during the struggle for independence, the fight was not against one’s own country men or Eritreans but it was against a colonial ‘power’. Second, you seem to condone (agree with) the insults PFDJ thugs hurl at as (Kedemti, Esubat, Tetelaqeyti) while you sharpen your tongue to criticize us when we express our indignation with rightful words as we see people selling their souls to the highest bidder.

The impression I get from you is there is a deep focus on what the anti DIA and anti Hgdef are saying so you can find fault and flaunt it . While concentrating on that, you’ve lost complete sight and have become completely blind to the grave human right attrocities and crimes performed by DIA and Hgdef. You have no credibility to be indignant at what is being said by way of protest (words) whereas you are not affected or you are insensitive at all by what is be done (action – like disappearing, imprisonment, death) by an oppressive system. How can I take you seriously as a human being? You are totally blind and deaf to what Hgdef is doing and your sensibilities are affected by the words of those who are denouncing the crimes. I have a hard time trying to figure you out !!!

I don’t see any grave human right abuse in Eritrea. What I see is a government working hard to feed its people against all odds on one side, and Eritreans trying to discredit that because they were denied the chance to divide people on the other side. They were denied that chance in Eritrea trying to do it in the West. No one would listen to them, because everyone is aware of their evil agendas. When they get frustrated, they started insulting people. What more to come? We will wait and see.
    Temesgen Medhanie
HGDF can call people Kedemti, Esubat, Kedaat, Weyane etc. All describe political stance and siding with enemy. They can never be taken as an insult on someone’s social or personal background/status.

    • Temesgen Medhanie October 2, 2011

If you are not seeing any human rights abuse in Eritrea, either you live in another planet (mentally, emotionally and psychologically) or you need to have your ‘eye’ or your conscience examined. It may be a very serious handicap, this blindness. I am living out of my beloved country because I detest the system but WHY are you living out? Explain to me that truthfully and I am open-minded and I might be convinced.

  • Temesgen Medhanie October 2, 2011

    Qozami,

If one is to put it in a historical context, one would be able to see that, it is nothing short of a strong political will and vision. When Isaias got stuck in Sahil mentality with a rather murky and muddy political vision twenty years on, Meles on the other hand transformed his party from a staunch adherent and student of Albanian Enver Hoxha to a liberal democracy when Meles sensed the wind of change that was blowing in the aftermath of the collapse of Soviet Union. That is an epitome of a political will, courage and vision. To that end, with all its pitfalls, flaws and downsides, Meles was able to give the people a chance to echo their voice through the ballot box as the country has so far gone through two national elections. It is incredibly depressing to talk about what is happening and what has happened in Eritrea with in the last twenty years or so when Isaias opted to crash any dissenting views let alone to encourage the Eritrean people to speak in the ballot box. But of course, as a mediocre and a bankrupted self that you are, you focused on what had happened right after the election in 2005 when a mishmash political figures resorted into overthrowing the government with an unconstitutional means. But mind you, when the death of people is sad and regrettable, Meles had at least the heart to come out and acknowledge the wrong doing when Isaias never admitted let alone to apologize as he kept eliminating people who happened to be on the far side of the political spectrum.

Sure enough, the spirit of democracy has a life of its own. It comes to life, it grows, matures and if it falls in the hands of tyranny, it dies. By the same token, one of the oldest democracies in the face of the world such as India, Western countries and the US still have to perfect it as they move into a common destiny. In light of that, what is happening in Ethiopia is simply stunning and breath taking. Imagine, the generation which had come of age in the last twenty years in Ethiopia will have to see political dynamics in terms of power sharing where it is divided into legislative, judiciary and executive when the young people in Eritrea grow up under the shadow of a dictatorship where power is concentrated intensely in the hands of a one man. I am sure, you’re intelligent enough to see the ramifications as you compare and contrast the said opposing political investments in posterity. The sad thing is, instead of learning from his mistakes, the ever recalcitrant Issaias resorted into harboring, financing and sheltering a ragtag and disgruntled political entities in Asmara as they claim to be the enemies of the ruling party in Ethiopia. But of course, ten years on, Isaias has faltered in anything and everything he put his dirty hands on.

    • kozami October 2, 2011

      Temesgen

I must admit that I am finding you rather likable as an Ethiopian (TPLF), when all your pretenses of Eritreaness have fallen by the wayside. “the wind of change” that was “sensed” by Meles had earned him the all too well deserved character tag by PIA when the latter aptly called him an “opportunist” , in an interview with the TIME magazine in late 1991. This opportunist had since perfected his mischief: in playing the “go to guy” in the ouster of the then UN secretary General Bhutros Bhutros Ghali; in the sabotaging Somali sovereignty; in leading the failed sabotage of Eritrean independence; and running CIA torture camps and invasion of Somalia….the expulsion of Eritreans of Ethiopian ancestry (complete with letter of apology) and massacring peaceful demonstrators (again complete with letter of apology) and of late, fly by night terrorism charges against any “mishmash” including starving villagers are but few that come to mind.
If you really want to have a glimpse of what “an epitome of a political will, courage and vision” look no further than PIA. He didn’t need to sense any “wind” except the betterment of his nation when he introduced private press, constitution drafting, regional peace making (including that of helping out Meles, the errand boy with the Oromo) and re-defining IGAAD into IGAD, until of course the errand boy was given another mission in 1997/1998. If you are really a man, why don’t you look Meles in the eye and ask him to uphold the rule of law and abide by the “final and binding” border ruling?

      • Temesgen Medhanie October 2, 2011

You sure are a funny dude. Let me stoop to your level and walk you through my mini-biography. I hail from Karneshim. That is, I am wedi-maEkel if you will. I am not sure what to say to you any more as I run out of the already laid out facts, facts and facts where you seem to refuse to accept and swallow. What else can I say to you when you keep saying like a broken record that, Isaias is a phenomenal leader? As much as you’re hiding behind a pen name, what could possibly happen to you if you admit that, Eritrea is in a dire strait and we need to work hard in unison to make things right. I am sure, halengi sewra will not and can not reach you as you keep using a pen name. I guarantee you.

            Qozami,

Who came up with the, “Qiltsimna mekhetena, hagerna tsi’lalna”? Let me guess. Is that Ghidewon? Because that guy has a knack for colourful words. I remember back in the days (mid 90s), when Dehai was graced with ideas ranging from literature, philosophy, history, science, culture and arts, he would educate the rest of us as he read books left and right. I hope you’re not going to say, what is it to you.

      • Maazza October 2, 2011

        Kozami

You have now stooped to a very low level of saying to Temesgen Medhanie “I must admit that I am finding you rather likable as an Ethiopian (TPLF),…” as if anybody gives a hoot about your likes or dislikes, in view of the fact that you are an admiitting worshiper at the alter of a dictator. Your judgement is not sound, period. Humanaity is marching towards celebrating what guiding principles a person has and not what nationality, race, religion, etc. he represents. President Barak Obama is a case in point. In yesteryears, who would have dreamt he would hold the highest office of the most powerful country in the world (for most of its history governed by the WASP – White Anglo-Saxon Protestant)? Practically none. The man, younger as he was, appeared steeped in principles and touched a cord in most peace and freedom-loving humans globaly (except DIA, Ahmedinejad and a few some anti peace, anti freedom).

For those who want to see and hear, this speaks volumes about the destiny of humanity as regards future governance. It will be sound principles that will determine the pace. There will be die hards and rogues along the way, but their time is up! There is a qualitatve jump in every sense of the word. Thanks to effective communications, humanity is becoming increasingly aware that the cruel farce being played by some dictators is but a sham. In the 1920s yes, but It cannot continue to exist now. The Arab awakening is about what is in store for the rest of the developing world. When I heard the ex-Minister of Justice of Libya, Mustafa Abd al-Jalil address Libyans, on entering Tripoli, saying, among other things, that he will not be a contender in the coming elections and that yes, the society is guided by Islam but there is no room for extreemists, I could see and hear that the times were a-changing. He was heralding a better tomorrow for Libyans. Minister al-Jalil had steadfastly and most ably laboured to free his country from the clutches a mad man for 41 years, and yet although born in 1952, he publicly relinquished any pretence to power in future Libya. There are giant men who are setting the pace for our todays and tomorrows. The young and famished for freedom and justice througout the globe get to know about this selfless service and its truth resonates. Even in the West, this type of phenomenen reverberated, it is so powerful and a vital expression of our times.

So kozami you can call me and Temesgen Ethiopian, Mozambican, Korean, Eritrean, even Martian because by itself it is just a label. What matters is the pinciples with which we guided and at the alter of which diety we worship. Unlike you, Temesgen Medhanie does not worship at the alter of a specific diety. He worships at the alter of RULE OF LAW and FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY and not for his personal gain because he seems a very integrated person where he resides. Immortal guiding principles that will guide humanity to a much better world from now till eternity is the name of the game more so now than ever before. When you are like that, you are all the nationalities of the globe as you are connected to those who worship at this alter of higher principles like you do. Nationalities and differences and labels can be very dangerous instruments at the hands of abusers. The absolute reality is that the cosmic law is glaringly conspiring to connect all those being trodden by cunning dictators and rullers so that they bring about change without a single shot. We are the privilaged witnesses of such a phenomenen during our times.

Future generations will be astounded to read that thousands from both sides perished because there was a small village at the border of the two sister countries, since one of them adamantly refused to sit down and sort out whatever was the problem. Todate, there is still one side refusing to sit down and address the problem. DIA’s demonstrated and proven infantile behaviour is too costly. If he loved Eritrea and Eritreans as he would want us to believe, instead of starting the war, he should not walk but crawl to go and sort out the problem for the sake of his people. That would make him a real statesman. I never tire of saying it, it is his whims and likes and dislikes that dictate his actions and NOT the welbeing of the Eritrean people. This so glaring from his strugge days, I have a difficult time why some people like you fail to see it.

Go on and bark you are Woyane, you are Ethiopian, you are this and you are that sounding more like one of those Hgdefite rogues rather than the learned man you portray to be. You are barking in emptyness.

  • truly, Truly i say to you October 2, 2011

Dear sister Maazza, sorry for that i am a little bit late to send my thanks, for the kind words and encouragement that you gave to my comment above. At the second, after i read yours and Temesgen´s comment in one side and Kozami´s and HGDf´s argument in other side i like to say something regarding PM Meles´s administration. It is true and there is no question about Meles´s geniality and the positive, somehow constructive approach that he has towards our nation and people ,despite the arrogant dictator many times provoking him ofcourse by not denying Meles´s side provocation too. It is undeniable too, about the humanitarian support that Meles´s regime continuously giving to our displaced people, like Temesgen many times pointed it. However, reading the negative approach, or the dream of the vast majority of Ethiopians that they have towards our nation, for me is hard to believe all without contradiction, what the PM Meleses´s approach has towards our nation is all trustworthy. Don´t forget! like many of you said it, Governments or parties they may go one day, but the people are remaining all the time. So my dear loved countrymen Maazaa and Temegen, did´nt you see the danger in this aspect or what, I mean not the current Government but the oppositions like Seye Abraha, Gebru Asrat and almost all Amhara and others are propaganding? Have you by the way you read it the book which is written by Asrat Abraham (KAGER BESTEJERBA?)“ ከአገር በስተጀርባ” ህወሀትና ሻዕቢያ-የትሮይ ፈረስና የባለፈረሱ ተለዕኮ? Which I believe it is the real desire and reflection of the vast majority of Ethiopians what thinking regarding Eritrea, Specially at page from 214- 219 the former Ethiopian Navy officer commodore Tesfaye Tadesse about what he wrote the 10 points of the strategical and economical validity of the ports, between the nation with own ports access and the disadvateges of those land locked nations without having own port access? Then you will understand why still the border case is not needed to demarcate. However when I said this it is not to give excuse or to give credit to PFDJ Juntas or inother side to undermine the Ethiopians Genuine leadershipment help for our disolaced people . Anyway every sensible person with his mind knows that Isayas and his cult worshipers they are our nation Number one enemies not all Woyanes.

    • Temesgen Medhanie October 2, 2011

      Truly, Truly,

Many thanks for those kind words. I have read your input with an ample interest and I should say that, I share your apprehension as you mention rather sticking points where some of us seem to differ in opinion. Meles sure enough is far from perfect and as we place our trust in him, we sure as well take his stands and words with a grain of salt if you will. Simply because, nations may not have permanent friends but permanent interests. If I have to invoke Kissinger’s credo that is. Having said that however, the old guards with in the T.P.LF particularly most of the members who parted ways with in the last five or six years or so seem to have an obsession with Aseb where in a sharp contrast Meles opts to utilize Aseb with in the frame work that stipulates Aseb as part and parcel of sovereign Eritrea. But we should bear in mind that, the apparent differences between Meles and the old guards didn’t pop up over night as they parted ways, but it had been going on since the inception of the party in mid 70s. That is, when Meles and his closest friends with in the party believed in Eritrea’s right for independence, the other members with in the party opted to agree on the terms out of political expediency where they had a plan to argue in the preservation of Ethiopia-proper should they come to power in the future. To be more precise, had they come to power when they had a serious division and political crisis six years ago, there is no doubt that, their political agenda and political rally would have been to get Aseb back by any means necessary if not to question the sovereignty of Eritrea.

In light the said political objective, Eritreans or prevailing political parties in Eritrea would be in synch with Meles as he lays out his political objectives pertaining Eritrea. But again, when I say this, it doesn’t mean that, we as a people should be dictated by the political reality in Ethiopia but we should have a vested interest as we remain to live side by side not only as neighbours but as people of a common culture, history and destiny. It should be prudent to mention that, the said political objective to re-gain Aseb back is not only entertained by the jilted junta with in T.P.L.F but by other political entities who are incidentally being harboured, sheltered and financed by Isaias.

      My dear brother Truly

Please forgive me for a belated reply to your above post. First of all, I am impressed by your research for documented truth on the various negative positions regarding Eritrea in the Ethiopian camp. But this is where Meles comes loud and clear. Meles has from day one celebrated the independence of Eritrea. He never tires pointing out his unwavering stand on that. For me, this is no small matter. I always thought he is constantly resonating the meritted AWET of the Eritrean people for achieving their independence because he is aware of elements with an opposed view in his own backyard, not to mention some Amhara opposition groups who are unable to swallow Eritrea’s indpendence and/or the achievement-oriented democratic governance of the Tigreans. The Amharas in the opposition groups (ethnically speaking) have been immersed in believing ruling is their birthright for centuries and it is now in their DNA to reject anything else. Asseb and Eritrea is theirs, they believe in their delusional frame. I repeat some Amharas in the opposition groups, not Amharas in general. The belief that ruling belongs to them will take some time before it is exorcised by the ground work being laid down by the Meles governance. More education, better standards of living, evolving democratic rights, among other things, that will eventually sweep this delusional wishful thinkig and day-dreaming.

Furthermore. when I imagine the scenario we may have had, had Meles also been of the stand that Asseb and Eritrea belong to Ethiopia, I cannot help thinking we may have been trapped in a 100 years war as did two major European countries in another epoch. They have sheer numbers, we have the unwavering determination, so we would be in a nightmare. I do not take Mele’s role in all this lightly.

Now did I boil with rage when he unceremoniously kicked out the Eritreans and Eritrean-origin Ethiopians in the manner he did? Hell, yes! Was I horiffied for the heavy handed attack at demonstrators in Addis Abeba? Hell, yes! Did I gnash my teeth with anger because he did not apply the the EEBC ruling so that Badme would not be a bone of contention and Isayas could let go of militarizing the country and get to the business of pacing faster (may be even run like a mantile) rather than a gobye or a camel, sleeping 9 hours a day? I most certainly did. Did I call him power-hungry when he stood for re-election in 2010 after he had promised the earlier one was his last term? Indeed I did.

But the more I witness the positive change that is going on in Ethiopia and the more I carefully follow his interviews where journalists ask anything they WANT, the more I am drawn by him as a very able brilliant man. Hearing him in his impeccable Tigrigna anwering to Amanuel Eyasu’s question why his inflexible stand on Badme, made me change my mind. It is very reasonable what he says. Very much so. Another thing I admire is his admitting the grave error made in expelling Eritreans. This is RARE. I don’t see any head of state doing that. Add to that the corrective measure taken to redeem a wrong act regarding the expelled, I say chapeau!. Meles in not perfect because no one is. But if I must be frank, 20 years of Meles and Isayas are too galrigly self-evident for me to comment.

To those who pretending and blowing dust as if they fill offended and insulted by Amanuel Iyasu, i will say this. First of you have to mind this,- to call someone “ thief” if he is a real thief is not an insult, to call someone like you a wicked man or if collectively the people of one nation because of their wicked mind they blended their eyes not to identify the good with bad, the justice with unjustice, the liberty with slavery, if it not obliged them the 400 of own citizens death in Mediterranean sea and still singing Halelujah what can you discribed them, other than a wicked mind or ignorant people? To call the cruel unjustice unmercy, un human power gready dictator like Isayas “ Devil ” is not also un insult because so he is. Even my Lord Jesus Christ he call to the Devil, “Devil” to the Evil Evil, to the ignorant, “ignorant”too. Here is some words from the cripture because the Pharisee( HGDEF cult worshippers) they made argument with Lord Jesus as if “God” their father he says them this, “If God was really were your Father, you would love me, because I come from God and now I am here…Why do you not understand my what I say? It is because you can not bear to listen my message. Look the hammer word what Jesus said them after, “ YOU ARE CHILDREN OF YOUR FATHER, “THE DEVIL” means (ISAYAS), and you want to follow your father´s desires. From the very beginning he was a murderer and has never been on the side of truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he is only doing what is natural to him , because he is a liar and the father of all lies. But I tell the truth and that is why you do not belive me.( John 8; 42-46) That is why like your father God Isayas told you belive ,many Americans are nowdays are fleeing from their homeland to the paradise island of Eritrea to seek justice and better life, because in America the life is unjusticful and every citizens has debted 25000 dollars. Lol!

Well I think truly is caught between two rocks that shield his sight, religion and TPLF’s foul propaganda. Let me tell you a parable from the black book in my qurbabasha…

A priest was once spotted by two thieves while withdrawing a large amount of cash from a bank and placing it into his bag. Hence, the two thieves began to follow him on his way out of the bank. They soon had him cased in, with one walking directly in front of him and the other thieve following right behind the unsuspecting priest. When thieves felt good and ready, the guy walking in front quickly dropped his pants to expose his bare behind to the priest. As, the disturbed priest bowed his head recanting Be si’me ab be wold… the second guy following behind snatched the cash loaded bag and makes away with it. Soon the police caught up with the matter and inquire to the priest: “so if we show you some people , would you be able to identify the culprit’s face?” The poor priest replies “oh no my lord, I had only seen the @ss, I have no idea what the face looks like” So, Truly despite your best effort, you have been already taken for a ride by design.
