Issues of national interest must be presented clearly. Some individuals commented above by diverting the main issue tying to make it look that Woyane is the culprit here. What common tread or facts do they have to relate it with external circumstances like the Woyane? The main question to focus on is the human rights abuses in Eritrea which are seen for over two decades. Please, stop dragging circumstances in unsubstantiated manner with Woyane.
At the moment, little is know why she is behind bars. It is common practice not to give any leads on the where about of missing individuals. The Woyane card is used very often muddling situations. W/o Mihret Tesgaye’s case is not the first case for missing person in Eritrea. Can we stand to advocate on a ‘collective manner’ for thousands of Eritreans who are in prison and missing rather than one single person? Each life has the same worth!

Let us not digress from outstanding issues. Eritrea today is at a cross-road challenged by lack of unity, common purpose to fight a common enemy which is the ruling body in Asmara. Eritreans as a unit can exert power with a purpose and principle if we decide to unite as one. If we do that our cause becomes ‘a country wide cause’ with focus and clarity of action. Issues like ‘Badme’ is a ploy the PFDJ exploited to the maximum to blind – fold unsuspecting individuals echoing the wish of the tyrant for the last fifteen years. we have lost precious time as a result creating new obstacles to divide us much more. About fifteen years after the first bullet was fired at BADME there are still many who do not know which of these two countries first strike the match to bring such a loss of life for no apparent reason.

There are over 101 tragedies which we have never heard of. That is not the mark of our struggle! Instead, when we hear these many injustices it must create with in us a space with a strong resolve to fight back and put and end to the corrupt system. For years, it had been killing the Eritrean spirit one by one and collectively as seen in the latest Lampedusa tragedy.

Among us there are many weeds who try to saw bad seeds. These are the enemies we must fight against. As observed, when members of the ruling junta die either from natural cause or accident many are seen weeping (may be??) their crocodile tear and sympathizing with them. This is the irony Eritrea is in today! We go as far as saying a person who died can’t be blamed for his action. So, if this is our reasoning what will stop others from being perpetrators of future crime and injustices when in position. Our national character is hard to categorize and is hard to comprehend since it runs against reason and common sense.

Dear luna, thank you very much for this accurate statement!
      I am completely with you.

  • oromay March 29, 2014

Dawit chickenhead, the suject is too big for you and you have a talk diaharea. U know neither about the rehime nor Woyane.

  • Truly Truly i say to you March 29, 2014

It is stupidity to say “since a person is a PFDJ sympathizer i do not mind whatever injustice happened towards.” As veryone knows many the regime die hard supporters they lost their beloved one in Lampadusa tragedy. So are you going to tell us let them perished since they sympathizing with the regime, their pain is not our pain? Friends! this is not the right altitude at all. Anybody can be supporter of the regime like many blind supporters unknowingly, some for private interest, some an identity crises that caused reason to pretend as if they be considered more than Ertrawi, as doing. But in whatever motive a person be sympathized with the regime, now the question is about justice. Injustice to one is injustice to all. By the way are we not fighting for justice and to free those deceived blind supporters? please be mannered and wise! In my belief even a person would be full Woyane origin, i do not like to see suffer in Eritrea injusticefully without proper trial even a person be found guilty for whatever wrong doing.

you are mixing up, supporters by choice, IE, $$, any kinda benefit that they are getting Versus, some one being a victim of the regime. If some one like is supporting this regime and hell broke between them, I AM HAPPPPPY, because those are the people KNOWING what is going on in ERITREA and ERITREANS that support because they benefit from it. BUT I fight and be the voice for those who are being punished being a victim. There is a big difference….she was one of those little rat who used to run the office, flag waiving, baba essays wey mot kinda women…I hope alazar, hiwot, abdela…and all those should follow her route…cowards die twice…

“she was one of those little rat who used to run the office, flag waiving, baba essayas wey mot kinda women..” Boy, do I know people like that? YES, I do!It is very hard to sympathize with those kind of people. But their cases can be very useful to us who need change for the better. Encouraging her family not to stop exposing dictator Isayas and his operatives will be very good.

  • Kebiz March 29, 2014

This dictator is a fool he is breaking our own constitution , putting innocent people in jail, first it was Mehret’s family next it could be ours.We can’t be sure to ever go back to our beloved country only to be captured and sent to jail ,I say we put an end to it right now!!!Unite Unite Unite!!!

  • selamawit2 March 29, 2014

    Dear Truly, Truly,

“since a person is a PFDJ sympathizer i do not mind whatever injustice happened towards.” that is also NOT my opinion – even if it’s of course easier to feel for somebody innocent than for a defender.

    But you mix up something:
Nobody is judging anybody for being a “beloved one” of a “die hard supporter” of the
regime. The ones who are under criticism are the supporter of this bloodthirsty regime their selves.

“many blind supporters unknowingly, some for private interest, some an identity crises…”?

    1. “unknowingly”: This point is not valid anymore, because today everybody knows what is going on in Eritrea!

    2. “Private interest” (house, money, career?) versus the blood of thousands of innocent Eritrean people??? No private interest is worth the life of a single human being!

    3. “identity crises”: Than we could set free every detained murderer in this word as nobody with healthy identity would kill or (indirectly) help killing people.

I understand anyway: you are trying to emphasize with the die hard supporters.
But Truly, Truly: WHERE IS THE LIMIT???

THERE IS NO GREATER LIMIT THAN ALL THE ERITREANS
LOSING THEIR FREEDOM, THEIR BELOVED ONES, THEIR LIVES!!!
