A saver now or NEVER; a cry for help
The so-called peace agreement between Eritrea and Ethiopia, I would rather call it the unauthorized peace agreement between Isayas and Dr. Abi brought more delusions and dilemmas among Eritreans. The Eritrean people watched the peace (love affairs between Isayas and Dr Abi) meticulously with every action, emotion and word matters, as compared to the Ethiopians. For Ethiopians the new peace initiative is a matter of expanding the trade and exciting opportunities, on the contrary, it is a matter of death and life for Eritreans.
All the peace processes between the two leaders, has created mixed reaction among the Eritrean communities, a sense of would this be a reality. From the beginning the problems in Eritrea are nothing to do with the border issues with Ethiopia, iy is more to do with the ruling party. Though many mis understood this fact, the dictator himself tried to sell it to Ethiopians and the international communities, as if the peace agreement was a key to the problems in Eritrea. During all the peace processes in Asmara, Addis Abbaba and Jedda, the Eritrean people are carefully watched footsteps and all word of the Asmara leadership. And a big question hangs over, whether Isayas will open the big prison like country, whether he will relief the people from their burden, people tired and bored of his reign are desperate for change now or never. The worst scenario is what if he uses this opportunity to iron feast his grip and strengthen his power.
People are desperate for a saver, to bring them out of this darkness and hopelessness, with quickly deteriorating situations, A SAVER IS IN NEED, NOW OR NEVER. The old slogan by several opponents of the regime “Eritrea by only Eritreans” looks fading, with looming extinction of its citizens. The blunt argument among the so-called Eritrean opposition forces, whether to use Ethiopia, as a base for fighting against the dictator, is now a fairy tale, with changing dynamics of the region. All tried method have failed and now with this new world order in our region, a new model is in urgently needed to fight the dictator.
The hope of many that the new Prime Minister of Ethiopia as an anointed one to bring justice not only for Ethiopians but also for the poor Eritreans is remained only a good hope out of desperation. Though Dr. Abi may be a person of good values, the current political platform in Ethiopia, the need to please many of his diaspora communities, the appetite of his supporters on Eritrea and its ports, is so high it is foolish to expect him to compromise all those, to help save the Eritrean people. Expecting him to face the dictator on behalf of the oppressed people is not going to happen at this time, however, many still expect him to fulfil what he calls his Godly calling, and raise those issues and be a voice for those oppressed under the dictator. Otherwise, the stability, economic prosperity dreamed of in the East Africa is not going to happen. The Ethiopia media outlets (like ESAT etc), they call themselves a voice for the victims, but when it comes to Eritrean(s), have thrown all their journalist/activist ic values, though goldenly written on their websites. This is a direct or an indirect endorsement for the actions of the dictator on the people. How can one call themselves a peace and human rights activist and is racist or biased.
The Western countries, US and European countries, are busy with their own problems, migration, unemployment, deteriorating economic situations. This added with the fear of chaos of post-authoritarian regime changes that engulfed many countries, have no appetite to remove authoritarian regimes at this time. Hence, the dictators as Isayas are enjoying on the suffering of the poor people with no one dare to challenge them. It is bad luck to, the East Africa dominated by rich authoritarian gulf regimes, is creating a good fertile ground for dictators.  The Gulf countries with no democratic principles and no regards to the rights of their own citizens and no one expects them to respect the rights of others. The unsolved mystery of the Yemen conflict is also pushing them to sniff anyone who can help them.
Who will deliver this poor people from the grip of this barbaric leader?
Some years ago, there was a wise joker known for his creative jokes, one day he asked a question like this;  “The Eritreans lost hope, no one can save them from the dictator, but there is only one hope left, what is it?”  He then answers himself saying” The mosquito”. He meant there is no one who have a courage or boldness to face the dictator Isayas, only a mosquito is found brave enough to face the dictator, to the extent it can attack and cause malaria and other sicknesses. This though a joke, really happened, and Isayas was admitted in Israel hospitals for Malarial related sickness. I not wishing him death, but still expect him to open his eyes and feel the suffering of the people under his grip.
Now the poor Eritreans forgotten by all, this reminds me when I spoke with a German engineer about the Eritrean situation back in 2001, he said, “no one can fight for you, you need to fight and defend for your rights”. He was and is right, no one can do for us, if we do not wake up for our rights and the rights of our fellow citizens, and it will be too late.
The neglect by international communities, the blind-eye by UN, the wait and see by the US, and fear of migrants by Europeans, lead to more deterioration of the Eritrean situation. The recent peace agreement between Eritrea-Ethiopia, does not look to consider the pressing need of the Eritreans, it was neither the border issue nor any other issue among the people in the border. The peace agreement if it does not result peace full environment for Eritreans in Eritrea, have no use. If not addressed urgently it may probably backfire and create a more dangerous situation. It may look good for a short-term gain but not in the long term, even Ethiopia will not get peace and the desired economic development by Ethiopian politicians should respect the need of the people of the north. Hence, the Ethiopia PM himself should be careful in handling the Eritrean situation.
We are living in a world of unfair in its entirety, crying for justice, the poor Eritrean are still under extreme oppression, under solitary confinements, jailed in steel containers, in underground prisons. While the dictator who is the cause of all the misery happened on the people is praised as a peace maker. What a crooked world, a world of selfish desires, with compassion fading away.
Still we ask the international communities, UN Security Council, US, European countries, African countries, in particular the PM of Ethiopia to look carefully into the Eritrean situation. If a solution is not coming now to Eritreans, it may be result in deteriorating conditions in East Africa. Hopelessness and disappointments among people may open gates for opportunistic evil players like terrorists.
As to the Eritreans inside and outside you, have the responsibilities and duties to bring change now or never.
 A saver now or never.

    Hello Assenna,

I guess, everyone of us feels the same. The problem is, how does one forgive his fellow citizen and come out in the open to work in collaboration with one another. As always, it’s not the strength of DIA, rather our weakness to overcome the slightest difference between us that created huge mistrust. It is not the work of 03 or Isaias’ agents that made me not to trust Ambassador Andeberhane and work with to bring the down fall of the DIA, rather it is my inability to see beyond what he didn’t do in the past with the arrest of G-15 and others. What should he or any late comer have to do to convince the other so that both to work for the good of the peoples of Eritrea? We need someone with strong conviction and determination who comes out motivate the public. H.E. Minister Berhane Abrehe though came out with that conviction but lacked the drive. It was not forceful. He should demand the resignation of power by Isaias on a certain date as if he has all the military personnel behind him. That might have created a momentum. And as any momentum has the ability to engulf the public with enthusiasm, the change that we have been waiting to happen, would have arrived in no time.

As curfew bells remand the darkness to the deviants
Who won’t cave in their echoless shuttered minds of sins
They cannot be won peace by propaganda war not the computer keys
To making everybody free nor does shouting down
They lend credence to a fool’s people petition
It’s tongue in cheek -it’s just a joke
Just an old guys -blowing’ smoke.
But then again -it could be true the proof is –
sadly – up to you my advises gays
Squabbling with words, bicker and spats
You can bring any thing only discord and suspicions
Its painful, you living in disharmony
Peoples concord and union to change to atrophy
What kind of opposition must humans think to mold
In bringing warmth and a chilling cold
Fashioning traits with kind words of diction
Not spawning harmful thought, causing friction
      Antagonism unfolds hostility

With staunch optimism, we faithfully pray
No chasm of rancor will whorl our way
Long as rising sun cats its glory
We will not bind up our soul with worry
Our nights will hold abundant shining stars
And our windows thow off confine bars
      That’s what I hope
      Very near to cope

I am a Florida State University foot-ball fun and I was a little bit distressed we lost for Miami Unversity. And I am sorry for very late to response you.
Dear Assenna Moderator- I do not have any noncompliance for your rules and regulation. However:
As you can probably guess from my poems, I think that if we want true socially just policies then we need to clearly state our values even if they are considered “ not-radical” and “not popular with independents.” By gliding toward the center, they are indicating not run the serious risk of moving farther away from where we want to be.
So even if someone only who wants moderate reforms, it’s in his/her best interest to support those pushing for even bigger movements in a very wise ways. That means it’s up to us to demonstrate that calling for moderate policies also means being an ally to those advocated for even bigger changes as well.
So I know in some situations it’s hard for me to voice opinions that significantly differ from the majority. However, after understanding how these so called Justice Seekers what so ever who give an hard core opportunity to formally sideline proposals. I got a much greater belief that they are pushing for the impossible change. I understand people who believe in innovation often think that incremental change is too slow. Those that believe in incremental change often believe that radical change is too risky and isn’t sustainable. So who is right? Which is the better form of change? I would argue that it is a stupid question. It’s like asking, “Which is better – hot or cold?” It’s nonsensical. It’s not specific enough. Better for what?
Reform movements are organized to carry out reforms in some specific areas. The reformers endeavor to change elements of the system for better. If we want to make rapid changes, then obviously radical change is the way to go. However, if we want to make sustainable changes, then incremental change is preferable and thus why I am sticking on.
I see the Justice seekers movement is look more Utopian ideal and are often vague. But what do you think? How can a radical movement make enough influential noise and struggle to push through sustained change? No problem, just leave your comment below.

For sure, your priority is wayyyyyyyyyyy off. No body is looking for “Utopian ideal” first of all, one askes for Utopian ideal, when he or she is living in a relatively stable society. I think you are in a la la land. When the Eritrean people are denied of basic right and now they are in the verge of elimination, you are talking about “Utopia”. The only radical action at this time is to eliminate the sick dictator with any means necessary. After that Eritreans and Eritrea will rise up from his ashes.

Gezae, are you Isaias? You don’t see your blunders yet. Whatever, am sorry, I don’t understand your inharmonious English words. Best advice for you, don’t write when angry.
        .
To the Assenna family: The Isaiasists are confused and louder than any time before. This British man upon finding all of the diehard-Isaiastists not to be only idiots but also lunatics, he prescribed to the Eritrean justice seekers the wisdom of Justine Timberlake that advises: THE GREATEST WAY TO SAY SOMETHING (TO PRO-ISAIAS LUNATICS) IS TO SAY NOTHING AT ALL. Just let them bark louder and louder like crazy dogs trying to cover up their guilt and shame for all the troubles and crimes they are causing against innocent Eritreans.

        • Gezae October 7, 2018

Did I blunder on in my diction. Absolutely yes, but not because someone put me a blinkers on my eyes. I blundered purposely for your ill-advised campaigns. And that is not also reciprocal. I know very deep the so called opposition groups and most leaders of Justice Seeker or what so ever revenge-avenge seekers. I understand why you are seeking revenge-avenge.

Because: You may feel attacked and suffered some unjust loss or injury. As a result you are feeling anger, hate, jealousy, envy, or shame. And may be you are humiliated, especially if you are made to feel powerless, foolish, ridiculous, stupid, or ashamed. But I am not of that kind person. For your best of knowledge- Aregash Col. Melke / killed in the name of the so called MenkaE/ is my cousine. Israel Mesgina Gebrezgabihir was my neigbor and middle school class mate. He was the first person who instigate me to be ELF member and many friends like Mehreteab Gebremichael, TeAme Habtemichael and so many of my best friends, class mates and neighbor [GEZA KENISH, DEPOSITO, FOROVIA and BET GIORGIS were vanished in different ways because of the nonsense vying
          .
However, me, I will never put my hands for such revenge-avenge and hate nature/essence of abortive political contention. Because revenge-avenge comes at a price. Instead of helping you move on , it leave you dwelling on the situation and remaining you back and back for infinite period of time.

So if revenge doesn’t make me feel any better, why do I seek it? I do not know personally, revenge politics might have possibility for certain groups and societies—such as those in largely lawless areas where tribal rule holds more sway than the national feelings are more prone to seek revenge-avenge because there’s just no other way to obtain justice in most of their understand for them. For me revenge-avenge, hate politics are primitive, destructive, and are the dark side of reciprocity.,Thus why in many cases the Eritrean government is the closet allay for me than the evasive so called group/s

The word ‘resignation’ and the phrase “now or never’ do not, in my mind, go together.

What does ‘resignation’ mean in the context of the dictatorship climate in Eritrea? Nothing.

All these so called ministers are tainted through collobration with Isaias or silence whilst their people are enslaved by him. How can these individuals ‘resignations’ be credible or used to underpin the “now or never’ demand of the people?

Eritrea was not liberated from Ethiopia by ‘resignations” but sacrifices. Forget the opposition groups, it needs only one brave Eritrean with the right tools to liberate Eritrea from Isaias.

These resigning ministers know what is needed but they are cowards, and have been so for 50 years.

      Eritrea forever, death to dictatorship.

The main thing that caused the mistrust of former official is the lack of sincerity from their part. The lack of acknowledgment of wrong doing and negligent act. Minster Berhane’s action is too little too late. Also, as it is apparent now, he had no body behind him. I am afraid, his action has no impact as far as we can see. I have more questions about his action, why did he do it alone? when was the last time he was on speaking term with DIA? What was his part, during the G15 situation? Did he also voice his concerns about the border war that killed thousands, thousands Eritreans?

    • memhir October 8, 2018

      Dada,

Looks like you are one of those pathetic Isaias water carriers who still would say the same thing even if your brother or sister is in one of Eritrean dungeons after the idiotic song and dance shamelessly demonstrated by Abiy and your god.

    • Genet Original October 9, 2018

      Dada
Peace is not a peace, when it is negotiated in the dark and by DIA. Peace is not a peace by name only. You can’t make peace, while holding Eritreans in dungeons. Peace is not a peace, when you allow outsiders to storm your border unchecked. That is not peace, but atrocity against the Eritreans people.

  • Bahr Yelem October 7, 2018

    Dada,
You call this “peace” while using languages such as medemer, ‘Assab enikafelalen’ etc…
Peace is great if you guys have respect for the sovereignty of ERITREA!
Sorry but you cannot play it both ways!

The reason the opposition always loses the argument is , it tries to win by claiming the sky is falling. One of the 7 point agresments between Ethiopia & Eritrea clearly states “” by respecting eachothers soverignity,,,,, & another one about demarcating it . The reason Isu & Abiy stated tge border issue is not immediate is because weyane was trying to use that as a ground for opposing the agreement . …and it is working. Yes , Isaias said our 1st priority is to stabilize Ethiopia , because when Ethiopia disintegrates there goes the neighbourhood. Of all people AMANUEL IYASU should know the reason weyane tegadelti fell/sacrificed in Sahil ,easy , to save Tigray, please stop trying to win by deception. President Isaias believes in 9 biher Eritrea ,so does the opposition ,so do I0. To make it equal the tigrinya have to go backword. like what is happenning in England white English whites work Eritreans get home office welfare. to level the playground the mainstream suffers. There is no other way of achieving a 9 biher Eritrean nation .The metaHit pulling camels , the jebertis making meshebekh while the tigrinyas achieve success does not create a viable 9 biher Eritrea. If things left alone the socalled tigray tigrigni ppl will thrive while the rest live their B.C life style. YOU CAN NOT HAVE BOTH

      DIA worshiper
DIA doesn’t care about anything Eritrean. DIA cares for Tigray and Ethiopia more than any thing to do with Eritrea. Who told him to stabilize Ethiopia? I thought the US and Ethiopia were his enemy or at least used to fool, fools like you. Last, Eritrean issue is none of your business. This foolish idea of Tigray-tigrigni is just a dream.
