Alliance with Arabs will neither solve his problem nor will it free him from his crimes. He needs to confess his crimes sincerely and seek forgiveness from the people of eritrea who are the victims of his crimes. That is The only way out he has.

The big boys are well aware of the forecast as a matter of fact, they cooked this scenario themselves, a quick phone call along with a diplomatic gesture , they can diffuse and rearrange the alliance , and even get rid off lifers head of states in the area , if their presence doesn’t suit their plan. Everybody is dispensable there , they are just a big bully to their poor defenseless people.

The main challenge in resolving internal or regional problems is the interference of others in localized conflict. To the extent the issues can quickly be resolved between the parties the regional or international actors can be kept at bay. Of course, this assumes that the leaders have interest to work for their people or the people have power or are awakened to demand accountability.

On another note, too bad the dictator in Eritrea doesn’t have enough brain cells to think strategically. There are events and situations one has control over and there are also those one can prepare for. Eritrea needs visionary leaders and people who know their rights and are awakened to demand accountability.

From the beginning after they took power Issayas and Meles were allies
to work with western influenced political agenda in the region . Their
internal and external policies didn’t represent long term interest for
their nation stability . And the race for regional power dominance led
them to engage in conflicts of unstable neighboring places .
I remember in 1990’s when both leaders were trying to impress with joint
cooperation to fight terrorism . But in reality our people were targets
    for their wicked policies .
Now to tell me ARABS , IRANIANS bla-bla-bla looks to cover our faults
that caused us pay heavy price . We became our worst enemy and facts
tells truth that we are the threat of our own security .
Eritrean and Ethiopian political agenda are under supervision of two
ruling parties with similar background .

Tigrinya people in Eritrea fighting their Tigrinya brothers in Ethiopia by allying themselves with arabs. Big betrayal. Eritrean leaders have no integrity.

“But to prevent Zenawi’s “nightmare scenario” from coming to fruition, the Africans and the Arabs need to recognize the Red Sea as a shared strategic space that demands their coordination. A sensible place to start would be by convening a Red Sea forum composed of the GCC and the AU — plus other interested parties such as the United Nations, European Union, and Asian trading partners — to open lines of communication, discuss strategic objectives for peace and security and agree on mechanisms for minimizing risk. ”
