I heard, with concentration, Mr.Amanuel Eyassus’ comprehensive broadcast on the meaningful title ‘Eritrea’s second cross road’ . It is a detailed broadcast, worth the attention of Eritreans – unless for some mysterious psychological phenomenon we are doomed to repeat the ACT of being the ENEMY NUMBER ONE of OURSELVES. Our ancestors called it መርገም due to lack of rational explanation. So, when will be the the END of our መርገም?

Eritrea and Ethiopia have signed a Joint Declaration of Peace and Friendship today. The Agreement, which specifies five pillars, was signed this morning at State House by President Isaias Afwerki and Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed
Joint Declaration states, inter alia, i) State of war that existed between the two countries has come to an end. A new era of peace & friendship has been ushered; ii) Both countries will work to promote close cooperation in political, economic, social, cultural & security areas
Joint Declaration: … iii) Transport, trade and telecommunication ties will be resumed; diplomatic ties & activities renewed; iv) Border decision will be implemented; v) Both countries will work together to guarantee regional peace, development & cooperation

With the resumption of Ethio airline Asmara to Addis and via versa, many family members will be able to reunite.
Peace and love is definitely winning the hearts of many on both side. I hope Wedi afom realizes he has no reason now to keep our youth hostage. He must apologize to the Eritrean people for all his wrong doing. He must free all political prisoners and implement the constitution. .
