-Eritrea became an independent country May 24, 1993.
-National Assembly ratified the constitution on May 23, 1997.
-The current self appointed president whose legal term of office expired back in May, 2007 ignited a border conflict with Ethiopia May 1998 to June 2000.
-Staged a coup d’état by arbitrarily arresting most members of the national assembly and cabinet minsters.
I challenge all members of the Eritrean defense forces air, land and sea and the law enforcement officers inside the police and security forces to do the honorable thing, restore Eritrean national pride. The land of your father, mother and forefathers is in a state of peril.
