Full of sarcasm, out right lies and empty, but heavy words. It doesn’t seem this hocus pocus will save the thugs…. Did they just site wikileakes, as a legitimate source for their proof of innocence? What about what the same wikileakes ‘leaked’ about them?…wurdetegnatat!!!!

    • Abel October 21, 2011

      Exactly my thoughts Shewit!

    • Temesgen Medhanie October 21, 2011

      Shewita haftey,

Great to “see” you back. I actually admire you for having the patience to read the entire document. For me, I wouldn’t bother reading it for the simple fact that, it is not only a run-of-the-mill ‘rebuttal’, it could as well be a one liner where it could be summarized as, “The Eritrean government vehemently denies the accusation.”

  • Almaz October 21, 2011

The cruel regime has never ever admitted his wrong doings since it was established as a front. No one would expect the regime to act in a civilized diplomacy. The good thing is the evidences presented against the regime are solid and now it is time to pay back the heavy price. The wild beasts who have never stopped jailing and wasting precious lives of eritreans deserve not only sanction but the fate of Mohhamer Kazzafi.

As we discussed earlier, it seems the “corporate” is more privy to the going on in high offices than your mystic ball would otherwise churn out. The news coming out says “Nevsun believes that economic sanctions are unlikely to be adopted by the United Nations Security Council,” the TSX-listed miner said in a statement to Mining Weekly adding “it understood the draft proposal had not yet been debated at the UNSC level” Haywood Securities predict that “We would be surprised to see the UN take formal actions (sanctions) that would impact the country’s fragile economy, which is just starting to show signs of positive change,” Haywood Securities analyst Stefan Ioannou wrote on Wednesday, adding that Nevsun’s share price decline offered buying opportunity. Canaccord analyst Rahul Paul, who said that, while risk remained, Nevsun had been oversold adds “We see low odds of current proposed UN sanctions being passed, since they would amount to shutting down the economy of one of the world’s poorest countries”

While we are at it, we might, as well, also note an interesting message from Britain to the people of Libya, before they have even have had the chance to collect the strewn bodies of their loved one’s and afford the a burial.

British firms urged to ‘pack suitcases’ in rush for Libya business – the guardian
“… The starting pistol for British firms to pursue contracts in Libya has been fired by the new defence secretary, Philip Hammond, who urged companies to “pack their suitcases” and head there to secure reconstruction contracts…”

        Kozami,

If we are reading the same article by Mathew Hill, all the analysts you mentioned are spin-doctors to build confidence to save Nevsum’s share from plummeting. It is all PR. In the same article, here two paragraphs which are relevant to the looming sanction:
“Gabon and Nigeria are sponsors of the draft resolution, and both countries, which met with US president Barrack Obama on Wednesday in Washington, are due to roll off their United Nations Security Council appointments at the end of 2011, Nevsun said”. We will see what will come out of this meeting.
“Eritrea is one of the poorest countries in the world and economic sanctions will simply starve the people of Eritrea literally and economically.” This is Nevsum’s spin-doctors argument. What the sanction does is starve the coffers of PFDJ.
By the way please pass my condolence to PIA for the loss of his best friend, Gaddafi.

Did you say to pass your condolences… weyley hiji’s ab neger do kete’etweni…baelika zeytblo! (just kidding)

          • Haqqi Nezareb October 22, 2011

            Kozami,

Regarding the condolence, I guess you are right I will do myself. But I need a big favour: help me to get Issaia’s e-mail. Thank you my Eritrean brother.

  • Weldit October 21, 2011

I actually saw this document yesterday at a Woyane-affliated Ethiopian site. Interestingly enough, it was removed after few hours. So, clearly the Woyanes somehow got hold of the document and leaked it. I say kudos because the secretive regime we have back home is soo obssessed with keeping everything secrete. Infact, our regime is so secretive that it might actually kill itself by ‘secrete overdose’.
I wish the Woyanes keep leaking more and more documents. That’s the only way we Eritreans have to get information about the backdoor activities being done by the PFDJ in our names.

    • Shawel October 22, 2011

I am loving this part of your text, as we Eritrean’s discuss politics and ideas, but to put a sense of humour like this text dose it all for me. well done bro!
” our regime is so secretive that it might actually kill itself by ‘secrete overdose’ “

These dictators on our region with same mental desease like Geddafi are problematic. We better search
treatment for their desease before it spread wildly over every Eritreans as some already had.
Recently there is a mission to send U.S.A. special force troops to Uganda to assist government efforts
against the rebels (LRA). Few however fear this small number of soldiers be a ground for a larger army.
I don’t know much about Uganda to discuss the purpose on this matter. But we all know the developments
on the region toward the new found of wealth minerals, gold and oil specially in Eritrea, Sudan and Uganda.
For Ugandians they are more focused on getting rid of their own dictator, Pres. Museiveni. Fighting the LRA
caused them to loose more than 10,000 lives and over million displaced.
It is crucial moment to Eritreans to have a democratic government under the rule of our constitution.

  • Kalu October 21, 2011

Gabon’s allegation file are finally thrown out and even no one gave a glance to check their garbage file handed to them by their masters to deliver to Security Council. The 400 page response ammunition is ready and the lairs are shunting their mouth and entering to their fox hole ashamed themselves. Haftey marey, Howey shikorey are mesmerizing calling words of lairs. It defines a person that does not have a stand but fantasizes by manipulating people with sweetening words.

    • Huluf October 22, 2011

      Kalu,

Keep dreaming, nothing that has started to roll against a dictator ever stopped….it is coming in phases…specially now Al Shebab has begun it’s chaos. The perpetrators will not go unchecked…so Gabon’s stance is to kick start the debate and weigh the security council members and stake holders….Remember Russia and China who could care less of Eritrea but will use this deal to cut other deals. Russia voted the last sanction even after honoring them with statue of their poet.

so Kozami, start to pratice kozema; Kalu start learning to absorb truth before it pummels you and stuns your in your eyes(did you see the shock and humanized agony of Gadaffi the “the Lion” ; This whole conversation will change in months as you can see we are not even talking of our border issue but Higdef on the defense, it is defending itself. The ball has been kicked…now we have to see how the goals are going to be scored….not that there will no goals…..because the end game is already decided …brokering has started thus Gabon’s first move.

      • Haqqi Nezareb October 22, 2011

        Kalu,
Here is the article for all Zombies of Issais by Mathew Hill on “Miningweekly.com” posted on Oct.21, 2011. Part of the article’s paragraphs are posted for the forum :
“According to the report, Gabon was seeking tougher sanctions as retaliation for Eritrea’s alleged support of Islamist rebels in Somalia, which the country denies.”
“Gabon and Nigeria are sponsors of the draft resolution, and both countries, which met with US president Barrack Osama on Wednesday in Washington, are due to roll off their United Nations Security Council appointments at the end of 2011, Nevsun said”.
From the second paragraph, I would say something is cooking at the White House. We shall see the out come of the meeting soon. The two countries were not invited to the White House for coffee, but to discuss something serious regarding the looming sanction at UN.

  • Dawit October 22, 2011

Here is a dramatic irony. In paragraph number (2) PFDJ says, ” Eritrean should have been given unfettered and prompt access to all charges and allegations leveled against it by any party. this is a rudimentary right of any accused party in a judiciary process emphasis is mine.

Has PFDJ ever allowed Eritrean prisoners “unfettered and prompt access to all charges and allegations leveled against them”? Not at all! In oppositions to what has been stated in the long and “aselchawi” report, PFDJ has denied and continues to deny defendants/prisoners of their “rudimentary” rights to face their accusers (generals, ministers, PFDJ, etc)? Several Eritrans are in prison indefinitely without charge or trial.

    • Huluf October 22, 2011

      Dawit,

Well said, that is exactly the deputy first secretaries of the world ( not the foreign minister, secretary of state) exactly tell Higdef everytime they ask for judicious process on the border…they tell them to to their they are the last to know of due process.

    • Selam October 22, 2011

How do you know that the prisoners are not aware of their charges ? I think you are assuming here or have you ever spoken with a prisoner ?

  • Temesgen Medhanie October 22, 2011

Is the news item supposedly sent from Eritrea removed?

    • kozami October 22, 2011

        Hal’wa (guard it) endo aytebaHalkan. Deqasi d’qas wesiduk’a d’U?

        • Weldit October 22, 2011

Assenna did the right thing for removing it. I had actually put my comments expressing my disappointment with that particular piece of bad information.
That kind of dirty “news” that doesn’t have any credibility or any logic is bad for Assena’s reputation as it makes its way to becoming Eritrea’s mainstream media.

          • Temesgen Medhanie October 22, 2011

            Weldit,

Congrats for winning the hard-to-win ears of Assenna. Of course kidding you hawey.

      • Temesgen Medhanie October 22, 2011

        Qozami,

Come to think of it, you and I are ‘coming to terms’ after a stormy start which is understandable where we entertain or subscribe to opposing ‘school of thoughts’ if you will pertaining as you have once affectionately dubbed it our “M’ch’wti Eritrea.” If anything, our rather diplomatic finesse should set a new precedence on how the ever acrimony, mudslinging and at times an out right vilification can be diluted as supporters and opponents of Isaias are on their throats day-in and day-out. How about if I call it or dub it, “Qozami and Temesgen” model?

        • kozami October 22, 2011

          Temesgen

Well, it is nice to learn that more and more people taking on the task of cleaning up our cyber environment through civilized treatment of each other. The notion “I am my brother’s Keeper” comes to mind. If I don’t challenge your views, who would? In the same vain, if you don’t challenge my views, who would? The fine line we often cross seamlessly appears to be the lack of distinction between challenging a person’s views and challenging the person ‘proper’ through mudslinging and what have you as you rightly say. Also, we are above our temporal ideas and feelings, the fact that our views didn’t converge doesn’t mean what binds us together as people has given way. It is okay to disagree, agree and have fun while at it. Your model is good choice…hurry up luchensa n’gberela!

          • Temesgen Medhanie October 22, 2011

            Qozami,

After I read your otherwise heartfelt feelings of the Model, I extended my hands to you in a gesture of agreement where the on-lookers in the audience put their hands together in a warm applaud. In the mean time however, I sort of walked in a future-memory-lane where I saw Isaias shaking hands with his political opponents (I wouldn’t say enemies) where he in his opening speech attributes his change-of-heart to the “Qozami and Temesgen model.” If we have come a bit late as our brothers and sisters paid dearly for the motherland, it sure is never too late to contribute something of a substance where we walk with our chins up as you and I have made a significant stride as Eritrea morphs into a better nation where erstwhile bitter enemies roll their sleeves up to work for a better future. As for the Lichensa, how about a free reign over it so that, the uncivilized will get rid off the ‘un’ and become civilized?

          • Maazza October 23, 2011

            Temesgen and Kozami

You guys may take this with humor, I don’t. I dream of a future where you could have polarized positions and dialogue like you two are doing here. It is what people like me dream of. Civilized (if possible laced with humor) exchange of opposed positions. Thank you both for these beautiful exchange.

  • komari October 22, 2011
