Nineteen officers and members of the Eritrean Naval Force have defected to Djibouti in the past few weeks.

According to our sources, head of squadron Lieutenant Biniam Gebreselasie; Department Head of the Electricity Department of the Halieb Boat Factory Habtom Ghebrekidan; and Head of the Technical Department of Marine Resources in Edi, Tiio and Gela’lo Awet Berhane, deserted the PFDJ regime and sought political asylum in Djibouti.

Another group comprising 16 members of the Eritrean Navy have also defected to the same country according to the sources.

In the recent years, the Eritrean Naval Force has been seriously weakened by the continuous defections of its officers to Yemen and Saudi Arabia. Mismanagement and tyrannical system of the PFDJ regime is the main cause of the mass defection.

The only thing these people who were used by the Tembenay is to flee rather than confront the dictator and save the country from the modern day Wube who terrorized Eritreans in the past. By the Wube is related to Iseyas.

    • shocked October 18, 2014

      Berhe Tensea,

Eritrea is in the shape it is in because of people like you and your likes. You have the nerve to blame the people who deserted the dictator …. In your words “The people who were used by the Tembenay”.

Let me ask you a questions: These people or anyone in the country has no choise but to serve the dictator”. if they do not, they know what they will face.

The proplen is people like you Berhe who point fingers at the deserters. How about you? What the F*CK have you done? just becuase you said few words on the internet does not warrant you to point fingures at the deserters. You live out of Eritrea and you left the responsibility confronting the dectator to the people in the country. Again, what the F*ck did you do? instead of asking the people under watchful eye to confront the dictator, what don’t you say why do we do this?

can I hear toy that? Or can you go there confront the mad man? talk to me now.

      • haile October 19, 2014

        Shocked,
Berhe must be telling the truth, you seem angry (as they say the truth hurt). I agree with Berehe, how many, Airforce, Naval Force, Artists, athelts and many more have escaped eritrea? Many. WHere are they know (with the exception of few)? No where may even signed the tAesa paper and return to the regime they left behind. One of the reason they give is that opposition are not uninted, well why not oppose by your own if you dont want to join the opposition group, why not speak up, sing, paint like some of them are doing to short the regime’s life?

        • shocked again October 19, 2014

          Haile,

You too are a coward. Read Berhe’s message. “confront the dictator” is what made me mad. My question to you and that Berhe is:

Why don’t you two confrot the dictator? Why do you have to look someone to do th job for you? And what would be your share when the dictator is taken care by other people?

Read my message again. I did not support or aploud anyone who returned or supported the mad man. All I said was why didn’t you and Berhe confront the mad man?

It looks like either you and berhe are the same person in different pen names or you two are two cowards with the same train of thoughts.

Again, how did you two leave the country? Why did you or your sibilings confront the mad man. What I would like to hear is,”I have done this” or I will go confront the mad man” please follow me. Ten you will get the credibilty and respect.

Other wise, living in confort and asking someone to do the suffering is not going to cut it.

Haile, just like that Berhe, you too are coward.

          • haile October 19, 2014

            Shocked again,
Keep getting shocked..because what you read is the truth. The reason you are being shocked is that you are one of the selfish who signed the Taesa paper to vacation to eritrean even to build your dream house. YOu kept singing same song that is what have we done? Well.. even i tell you what have done..you and your thick head would not believe it. For start why not use your real name why cover behind the “shocked name”? Btw my hame is Haile Tesfay and i live in Calgary Canada.

          • shocked again October 19, 2014

            Listen Haile

It is not my name which is showing my opportunist behavior. It is the A**holes like you who always want someone to do the job for them. All I asked is why don’t you confront the mad man and why do you want others to do the confrontation? Am I showing you your coward behavior now?

          • haile October 20, 2014

            SHocked,
You assume that i left the country in recent years like you did. YOu are a coward because you are hiding behind nick name. Tell me who you are and i will tell what i have done. FYI the majority comments are asking “why runinig out of country..” you and other PFDJ’s spies angry because what people asking are the truth.

        • Tsedenia.M October 20, 2014

          Haile,
Do you have to be “Tsemam hade derfu” all the time or is it just a case of ‘if you can’t convince them then just confuse them’? Well, we are not that easily misled by your desperate tactics and games. If you can’t come up with concrete and convincing argument then just cut your crap and childish logic. You keep going about the truth and yet you are not even defining what ‘the truth’ you are talking about! You see Mr Haile, we are not that brilliant or mind readers like yourself so if you would be kind enough to enlighten us about your fake truth of the matter. Shocked has so far been very gentle not to call you worse than what he has already called you and just refrain yourself from further embarrassment and shame. Lastly to Shocked, well said brother/sister, as you rightly pointed out it is not that is the issue is NOT about which genuine or nick name you use BUT about not to expect others to make all the sacrifices while the smart Diaspora just control things with their remote controls from far away in their luxurious Western World.

          • shocked again October 21, 2014

            Dear Tsedenia.M,

It looks like I made a mistake to engage with this morow “Haile”. I thought I could rehab him but he is hopeless.

I know that you exactly understood what I was / trying to say. But for the sake of other people, I will state my case clearly.

            – Many people are leaving the country. Some do /may support the mad man. I really “do not like that”.
            – I am strong believer that the mad man with his cronies have to go. Preferably it would have been good
if the PFDJ camp finish each other.
            – I have to be honest that I would never confront the mad man in Eritrea. I and all of us know what
happened to the people who confronted him in Eritrea.
            – So, it is only fair that if I do not / would not confront the mad man, I “should never” expect anyone
to do it for me. If anyone wanted to take care of the measerable man in Eritrea on his / her will,
            that will be okay.
            – But again, it will be totally unfair or selfish for me to critisize the people who are leaving the
country for not taking care the devil.

            – Would the A**hole haile get it now?

        • Genet-orginal October 21, 2014

          Haile
          I agree 100%
For any Eritrean who is concerned about his/her people, don’t need to join any Opposition group, if they don’t feel like it. However, they can stand up on their own and people will follow. The silent majority are prolonging the suffering of our people. Some of the undercover PFDJ’s supporters seem to be in full force at Assenna. How you can tell who they are is with their post attacking other people. Their usual post is “why don’t you do that or this” “You go remove the dictator” In other words, it means don’t do any thing or I will fight you on the behalf of the dictator. No justice seeker in the right mind will go against anyone who said let us do something. I get it. they are doing their job on the behalf of the DIA.

    • Disapointed too October 19, 2014

      Dear shocked,

I am with you. People like Berhe Tensea live in confort in the west and they want someone to fight for them. I have never heard this Berhe tensea guy or people like him to say let’s do this or that. They always says “why don’t they do this or that. I will not be surprised if this Berhe Tensea guy is one of those people who left the country through Sudan. They get to the west, help themselves as well as their family then they blame the people who followed them.

The country is in it’s worst shape. The dictator and his servants have to go. but tis will be done by all of us. It is not the responsibility of those who are in the country.

      Berhe Tensea is a coward.

  • sMRET October 18, 2014

well said Berhe..after they run the country most of them prefer to be quiet or support the government they left.

  • Dended October 18, 2014

We don’t have to blame each other we are failed to confront. Rather we chose to flee.

  • Dended October 18, 2014

The blame is for everyone of us. But worst is to flee and support.

    • ERITRAWIT October 19, 2014

      Dended,
You are right to flee and support is the worst thing to do.

  • Solomuna October 18, 2014

    Smret.
I agree with you, I use to sympathse with them but not anymore after learning what they turn out to be when they settle In the most
Democratic countries. These new breed of young Eritreans are cowards and too opportunist to think of their nation at the edge of a clif heading to the ultimate disaster.
I wish them well where ever they are destined to go but shame on those who tend to forget what got them to this level to begin with and then when things are situated they start to kiss Wedi berad’s a…..s…..s. So sad.
    Selam.

    • Tsedenia.M October 18, 2014

      Solomuna,
I don’t agree with you at all, we have a tigrigna saying of “Zey sinKha hutsa kortumolu” indeed. Miwurizay gedifina, let’s get to the reality of life as well as the reality on the ground. These to use your own word (new breed of young cowards & opportunists Eritreans) do leave young wives, children and old parents behind in Eritrea. You may have lived outside Eritrea for all your lives but this blood sucker criminals PFDJ chase and make the life of their remaining families real HELL. In short, what they do is simply out of fear and out of concern for their remaining families back home in Eritrea. I hope I have made my point clear! All the best of luck to all of them and I also pray for their families safety. Let’s be more far sighted and sympathetic society.

    • Genet-orginal October 21, 2014

      Solomuna and Smert

      I agree with you point.
Flee and support is the worst thing for any Eritrean to do. If like most people are saying, “Change from within is the best” way to go, then who should start the change? I say, the people with some type of leadership within Eritrea. That is who. Flee and support is a crime. There is many ways they can use to support their families. Supporting the Dictator is not one of them. It is a betrayal of their own people. If people think flee and support is right, well, those people just exposed who they are. Therefore, no further discussion is necessary.

  • Bere October 18, 2014

Everyone is leaving Eritrea and the question is that who will protect it?

    • Alem October 19, 2014

Bere, you go and protect it. No one is attacking Eritrea except the dictator and his cousins Kisha, Monkey and DEMHIT.

  • Alem October 18, 2014

    Good job brothers!

  • Alem October 18, 2014

Time is running for the Dictator (Wedi Tembien) and his cousins Monkey and Kisha. Eritrean gallants from inside and outside, the UN, the ICC, your neighbors are working hard to put it in trail or punish you in the street of Asmara as Libyans did to Geddafi (death in the sewer “Fagnatura”)

  • aus 17 October 18, 2014

the summer of nexst year is the year of peace. the regimes head and his hench men will follow the same path like the marin officers.so keep on brother hope is in front of you not behind you as used to be until now.

  • ahmed saleh October 18, 2014

Too sad to comment . After all what bother me most are the people
who left behind . To see military officers to imprison without due
legal process and on the other side to flee from the country by
deserting their compatriots shows the weak side of them
Shame to forfeit life time sacrifices for the sake of known
betrayers . After HGDF’s true picture revealed , they
couldn’t inspire by the movement of their own comrades
( Wedi Ali group ) or they might love the leader not to see
any harm . They owe our people an apology for putting
them at terrible conditions . Eritrean’s deserve more than
that to live in peace .
