December 2nd is an international awareness day to end slavery.  On this awareness day, the world is called upon to stay awake and aware paying attention and making efforts to understand the ugly faces of slavery.  Those who see and understand the sufferings of those enslaved are determined to speak out loudly denouncing the injustice against the enslaved by the slave-holders, masters and oppressors.  On this international awareness day to end slavery, the free people in this world are inclined to test this maxim that says: ‘just raise the voices of the voiceless by raising high the slavery awareness’ in order to provide those others out there with opportunities to turn the awareness into successful action of ending slavery.

On this awareness day, it is humanly worth to closely hear the never stopping screams of the enslaved people in Eritrea and elsewhere.  The awareness includes understanding those who are condemned to extinction through depopulation of their country or imprisonment in dungeons of those who are fighting for their rights, opinions and beliefs.  The Eritrean enslavement, which is casted out of fear, is not expected to fear imprisonment, disappearance or death.  The intimidation by fear is out of fear of disappearance or imprisonment in brutal prisons along with internationally forbidden tools of torture that force and condemn Eritreans inside Eritrea to enslavement under the tyrant’s harsh rules.

The awareness on this day, thus, is about raising the slaves’ recognition ability to ignore the fear that is imposed on them.  Through raising awareness, the enslaved Eritreans will be able to know that the tyrant is equally scared of the slaves’ anger.  The hidden anger in each of those enslaved, if exploded, will certainly crush the tyrant’s tyranny into pieces. Yesterday, our martyrs used their fates to ensure that no Eritrean is crushed or defeated by fear.  Our martyrs knew that only the fearless enjoys liberty and freedom and guarantees the freedom of others.  The memories of our martyrs confirm us that fear can be defeated.  The history of our martyrs also tells us that only courage that is casted out of fear can defeat the slaves’ fears.  Therefore:

-It is time for the enslaved to win over fear and to courageously declare their preparedness to reclaim liberty.

-It is time for the enslaved to reclaim the freedom of expression and say “NO” to tyranny, “NO” to slavery, and “NO” to intimidations.

-Yes, it is time to tell the world that you “the enslaved” are not afraid of freedom, change, and certainly not afraid to talk your heart.

The focus of the slavery awareness is on shaping and molding the minds of the enslaved to stand up for their rights against the oppressors and the tyrants by doing what they are not allowed to do.  If fear is deep rooted, it is time not to make decisions based on fear because fear cannot be a choice.  But getting rid of fear can be a choice in the fight for freedom from slavery.

Can the Regime’s lack of Institutional Capacity be the cause of Enslavement?

The regime’s representative, Yemane Ghebreab (manki), in an immediate reaction to COIE’s (Commission of Inquiry on Eritrea) accusations delivered a statement confirming that the regime is still learning because it has no idea about freedom, justice and rules of law.  But the UN knows that the regime with its closed mindedness cannot be expected to be committed to listening to recommendations let alone to implementing them.  The UN is convinced that the change in the treatment of the people can only come through implementation of the approved constitution.  Thus, the world has identified that it is not the regime’s lack of institutional capacity but the absence of the political-will that is causing the regime’s lack of commitment to listening to the voices of its victims and learning how to stop its crimes against humanity in Eritrea.

The regime may need another 25 years to learn how to free itself from violations and to end the crimes of enslavement, imprisonment, enforced disappearance and torture.  However, the enslaved Eritreans through the slavery awareness will outperform the regime in learning how to reclaim their rights sooner and faster, snatching back their monies and properties as well as freeing their daughters and sons from the unlimited conscription and forced labor.

To improve the regime’s institutional capacity, the tyrant should learn how to overcome his pride by opening his mind and recognizing good ideas.  After all, the tyrant cannot hide his crimes because his fleeing population has got all the stories about his abuses out.  The UN knows that the tyrant has to have an open mind in order to have the required political willingness to take into consideration the UN’s recommendations, new ideas and all suggestions that can help to improve his governance.  However, the regime is not ready to accept any recommendation that benefits the Eritrean people and frees them from unlimited conscription and slavery.  The UN is also focusing on eliminating the regime’s starvation policies by learning from Eritrean civil societies (not the regime’s civic societies) on how to have an open doorway to new ideas or schemes that can help to improve the lot of the ordinary people.

The Eritreans inside Eritrea, unlike the pro-tyrant Eritrean Diasporas, don’t want to be tied up by the chains of the tyrant forever.  On the other hand, the Eritrean justice seekers are calling for change because the Eritrean martyrs died for the liberation of the country in order for the Eritreans to live the country and not flee it.  Thus, all that is needed on this awareness day is to remind the tyrant to take an entire new direction in improving his governance, as required by the COIE, by having effective, transparent and accountable ministries and departments.

Since the regime’s ability to change can improve with policy change, it is necessary for the regime to have open mindedness in order to improve its policies through practice change.  In looking at a policy change from various points of views, there can be a need for change of some of fundamental political practices.  In the process of any policy change, conflicting opinions are inevitable, yet denying facts to promote self-interest is optional.  But if the tyrant cannot brush away his pride and come to a negotiating table with the people, similar as the neighboring countries are doing, he will remain entrenched in his tyranny abusing the rights of the people and resorting to slavery and forced labor.

In today’s world, the Eritrean refugees size relative to the country’s population size places Eritrea with those failing nations.  The denial of basic rights and abuses are nationwide and, as horrific as they are, the cruelties and mistreatments are considered to be extreme thereby qualifying the Eritrean slavery to be listed as the worst servitude of all times.  The regime has used border wars and other fear mongering tactics to deceive the conscripts into accepting the unlimited conscription.  As hostages of the deceit, those conscripted into unlimited or for life forced labor appear to be feeling like being robbed of their youth life.

The Regime’s use of Catchphrases to Enslave the Eritrean People

Eritreans inside Eritrea distinguish their imposed slavery from the self-slavery of the pro-tyrant Eritrean Diasporas, who through their voluntary submission had to concede their self-respect and pride under the tyrannical mantra of “Isu Nihnan, Nihnan Isua.”  Unlike the historical slavery where one was captured and sold to become a slave, the modern slavery inside Eritrea is the product of pretexts of border wars and rushed nation-building that gave rise to mass enslavement through endless conscription driven by catchy political slogans.  The purpose of the weighty slogans, such as: “We are here day and night in our trenches to safeguard our national sovereignty against the Ethiopian aggressors,” or “Our national sovereignty before our human rights,” all these are to generate submissive minds that accommodate endless conscription or national services that condemn the Eritrean mass to forced labor working for free on agricultural harvest and building residential homes for the generals and their relatives.

Thus, the modern slavery is about exploitation and forced labor.  Unlike the historical definition of slavery that was about the slave being treated like a property by the slave-owner, the modern slavery is about systematically condemning the person to all types of human violations with enforced hard labor and restrictions of freedom of movement rights.  The difference between the historical and modern slavery is that the historical slavery ends with disowning of the slave by the slaveholder, whereas the modern slavery, as a systematic exploitation as it is, it ends with effective implementation of the country’s constitution.  The second difference is that, under the historical slavery, the owned slave is aware that the distasteful tough conditions imposed on him/her could end by fighting for freedom.

The post-independence desire of the pro-tyrant Eritrean Diasporas focuses on contributing towards the country’s nation-building.  But that desire was manipulated by the tyrant into endless donations to support the tyrant’s wars.  Because of the pro-tyrant Eritrean Diasporas’ perception that the country is at war with many external enemies, they have chosen to take a stand against the implementation of the approved constitution.  As a result, they devised a stand that declares: “It is no time to talk about the implementation of the approved constitution or any rights to be respected, when the country is in a dire situation to defend itself.”  Conversely, the Eritrean justice seekers believe that Isayas purposely declares a war in order to end any demand for change including the awaiting implementation of the constitution and, as well, to impose enslavement through unlimited conscription, forced labor, poverty, and injustice in treating the people.  The pro-tyrant Eritrean Diasporas, as self-enslaved, always trust the tyrant and dismiss the justice seekers’ justifications.

Therefore, in the absence of the constitution or any rule of law, the world is accusing the tyrant of gross human rights violations in Eritrea.  In this regards, the Eritrean Diasporas are stuck in opposing views with the pro-tyrant Diasporas, who are undermining the UN’s calls for promoting and protecting the fundamental human rights of every Eritrean to dignity and a decent life.  As a result, the pro-tyrant Eritrean Diasporas are busy helping the hyrant to place more chains on the limbs of those on forced labor inside Eritrea.  On the other hand, the justice seekers Eritrean Diasporas are demanding the approved constitution to be implemented so as slavery and the sufferings of the people from oppression and injustice to end.

What Awareness can promote the Right Actions?

Raising Awareness is another way of fighting the fight to end the systematic slavery in Eritrea.  The world, the UN, and the Eritrean justice seekers have spoken out against the systematic enslavement of Eritreans inside Eritrea.  At the same time, on the other side, the pro-tyrant Eritrean Diasporas want the last vestige of African slavery to be replaced by a systematic slavery and continued under the tyranny rule in Eritrea.

Eritrea, as a nation, has two problems: embargo of the tyrant on the people, and the UN’s embargo on the tyrant.  Raising awareness on this day, the 2nd of December, is to help the tyrant understand that his leniency to the people will get him leniency of the world, UN, and ICC.  This means that under temporary win-win policies, the tyrant will not have sleepless nights when he allows the people to have visitation rights to prisons to know whether their loved ones are dead or alive.  Further, if the tyrant agrees, under his voluntary and permanent win-win policies, the constitution will be implemented to result in win-win solutions to all Eritrean problems.

In the absence of the right awareness for the right action, the country may have lose-lose situations, where the two embargoes will continue to hold.  If the right awareness is not in the right place, the right action cannot be expected.  Since the tyrant’s generals and his ministers are always subjected to decisions from the tyrant’s (president’s) office, the awareness campaign should focus on convincing the tyrant to take interest and care about mitigating the Eritrean problems through win-win policies.

It is not about how the tyrant inflicts fears to force the people into silence.  Nor it is about how the tyrant blackmails the generals and the ministers into becoming scapegoats taking the blames for all crimes committed against the Eritrean children, mothers, youth and the elderly.  Included also there is no need to know about how the regime is engaged in hiding violations when the UN’s follow up is in full force and effect.  The awareness day is about how to change the frustrations and counter accusations to win-win solutions with less damage.

As a self-inflecting system, Isayas has failed to undo his own damages.  The pro-tyrant Eritrean Diasporas are always speaking about how the world is unfair and unfairly accusing the tyrant.  What these people are missing is that the world has targeted Isayas because he is targeting the Eritrean people as his enemies, mistreating them.  As a result, Isayas has been put in a beltway with only two exists: The first exist exists him to the Eritrean people’s blessings, and the second exists him to the ICC (International Criminal Court).  The choice is his.

The UN is just saying that if the tyrant wants to be called a ruler with a government, he has to have the people of the country in the country.  As such, the depopulation of the country should stop immediately by encouraging two ways movement.  Otherwise, Isayas does not qualify for the title of a ruler without people.  Included are also, as a government, the tyrant has to unfreeze the frozen private bank accounts and the country should have enough money in circulation as well as budget with effective budgetary management.  Such a move will be an answer to the public demands for better governance.

The comfortable political narrative, nowadays, is about ending tyranny in Eritrea.  And, the political awareness is to remind that the tyrant needs nothing more than having a warm relation with the Eritrean people, as a reconciliation offering.  Therefore, to heal the wounds of the nation and its people, let the Eritrean justice-seekers’ democracy first succeed without constitution by letting peaceful transition start with higher dimensions of political consciousness and awareness at a negotiation table to implement an effective constitution.

To those who support the tyrant, they are reminded that end-slavery awareness in Eritrea should be everyday. Our people are suffering day and night from the abuses of the tyrant. Equally, the awareness on stop the abuses should be day and night.

We have to know that slavery nowadays is only in Eritrea. The tyrant turned the whole population into his slaves. The worst thing about the slavery in Eritrea is that the tyrant is cruel because he is not providing his slaves with food, water and other basics.
    ..
We have to also remember that the tyrant is accused of harvesting organs from his slaves to sell them to the rich. As we hear and see, the Eritrean youth are dying in the shores of other countries and in the high seas to escape the cruel treatment of the tyrant. What else do you need that ending slavery is every Eritrean priorities. The call of the Eritrean justice seekers is implementation of the approved constitution immediately so as to end slavery in Eritrea.

Z, Hagos – the foaming Bulldog aka the stalla kebti
You say so much to mean so little, is this how they (your savage criminal barbaric evil moslem/Islamic ELF) trained and programmed you to repeat for life? What a waste garbage in garbage out. Our beautiful and civilized world has moved on while you lot are still stuck in your dark age/stone age eras. How about how you savages ELF criminals robbed and abused our poor peasants in the past when you were fighting for an Arabic/Islamist Eritrea? Are you still fighting for the same evil savage all-alien-loving ghedli sponsored by the barbarian Arabs?
You see Z.Hagos the foaming bulldog, a smart business person produces products that sell! These days what sells to the public is a small machine called “opposition – crusher” because people have realized that they have been buying a lot of stink called “opposition” and need to find environmental safe way of crushing what they had bought!! I am being very polite and friendly here so don’t hate me for telling you the truth. Your evil-ghedli may have “liberated” the land, sea of Eritrea on May 24, 1991; but the people of Eritrea (soon to be the people of Agazi) have to be liberated from backward savage animals the so-called tegsdelts/bandits.

      • Selam December 1, 2016

Sorry my stalla kebti Z, Hagos, I forgot to add that the lifelong your Arab slave dogs mercenaries refuse or object this abolition of slavery thing! Simply, they don’t want to be freed from their savage evil moslem Arab slave masters, they want to continue with their Arab slave masters evil agenda/mission of destroying our region and making our people’s lives more miserable and more dependable on handouts.
Let’s get rid first the rootless illegal moslem immigrant nomads from our countries for once and for good. In other word, lets first clean our houses from all those unwanted cockroaches and moslem snakes trouble makers terrorist jihadi/talibans of this world.

        • Selam December 1, 2016

another addition : let’s first clean “up” our houses.

        Selam,
Firstly, you don’t appear to stand for “Selam.” You are a criminal, born criminal, and living as a criminal to commit crimes, theft, harvesting kidneys of the Eritrean youth.
        ..
Your distraction here is part of the crime that you are committing against the Eritrean people. As a non-Eritrean, please let the Eritreans discuss their problems to arrive at a solution. As a non-Eritrean and as an enemy of Eritreans, please Selam give Selam to Eritreans to at least take comfort in discussing their problems.

Brother Z.Hagos, the norm is they should be commenting on the substance of the article instead attacking the commentators, unfortunately, these screwball Selam and his likes who are intoxicated with this agaazi concussion don’t have anything of a substance to say,so.as long as the stench of regurgitation of their G.I. tract is allowed to be displayed here, they will keep on coming.Just ignore these riffraff elements and continue to deliver the message of truth and prudence,They will fade away like a pair of blue jeans.

  • zeray December 1, 2016

Mr Z.Hagos, why don’t you just call yourselves the “job seekers” party?
There is nothing wrong or to be ashamed of being a job seeker as you might even get proper helps/favors.
But to keep fooling the innocent people with your circus fantasia is just absurd and an insult to our intelligence.
However, a very good (best) luck in your job seekers movements, as you going really need it (the best luck!!!!!!!).

Of course, “job seekers” party instead of your supposedly “justice seekers” fantasia party!!

      zeray,
Do you have any substance to say in defense of your criminal Isayas. You, as a little criminal, you have onethousand tongs in your big mouth. Your little brain cannot operate your onethousand tongs and that is why you are making onemillion mistakes against humanity. Your little brain cannot even control your hands, that is why you are killing onethousand lives of Eritreans. Together with your master, the criminal Isayas, are expected to stand trial at ICC for the crimes you committed against the innocent Eritreans..

Dear Assenna (Amanuel), you claim to fight for democracy and free press crap in Eritrea, but you keep deleting my comments unfairly. Why did you delete my response to this Afari – foaming bulldog asshole by the name of Z.Hagos and the ignorant dead brain pimp (PH – the rootless illegal immigrant Yemeni nomad paedophille)?
The right to offend is crucial to free speech (i.e. unless they have not taught you in your evil-ghedli bush so-called journalism)!! No ifs, no buts, and no excuses Mr three pieces suit & a smart tie tegadalaybusinessman Aman nowadays)!!! I am not at all worried about you people the so-called opportunist, spineless and toothless oppisitions coming to power in Eritrea in a million years (because you lack the guts and the aptitude); I am only interested in exposing your hypocrisy and cowardice. Z.Hagos and that PH really deserved my proper strong and long response but they are just lucky to get away with their cheap accusations/labeling and muslim/ELF gimmicks. Rule of the jungle rules indefinitely!!!!

    • Z, Hagos December 2, 2016

      Selam,
Your style of writing looks like you are one of those Isayas’s Korkor. If you are Eritrean, you should be worried by the way Isayas is treating our people. This week only about 3,500 (three thousand five hundred) Eritreans fled Eritrea crossing the border into Ethiopia and Sudan. Our people while starved and dying from starvation, you are writing from the embassy desks to sound like there is no any problem in Eritrea.
      ..
You seem to have no idea about Eritrea and Eritreans. If you would know you would have said something on this day of slavery day to free Eritreans from the slavery of Isayas. But you, as a self-enslaved person, you don’t grasp the Eritrean conditions under the rule of Isays.

  • Gedem December 1, 2016

This is a reminder to those would be elites who live in and encourage mental slavery or Abidism by selling themselves, their own languages and identity and to other persons they see less.

  • Z, Hagos December 2, 2016

    Gedem,
Thank you, Gedem. You seem to be worried by the way Isaias is associating himselv with Qatar and Saudi Arabia Arabia. People within Isayas’s party are shocked by Isaias’s agreement to the Arabs use of the whole Dankalia against the Yemeni nice people. Isaias already got Eritrea involved in terrorist activities in Somalia. For that, the UN condemned Isayas and his money in Swiss and Chinese banks to blockage until verified that those monies belong to the Eritrean people and should return to the Eritrean hands. On this slavery awareness day, let all call for immediate end of slavery in Eritrea by Isaias and his generals.

IS Dec. 2nd: International Day for the Abolition of Slavery ??? OK, this day is for the rest of the world…..Do we have also a day??? Yes, a day for the introduction of Slavery ,a day for those who have been fighting to be enslaved for so long (60years) …It may seem paradox ..well,may be but it is real .and above all,it is our choice …So,the world (UN ) must recognize our day,it could be the 1st of September .. LONG LIVE SLAVERY !
The writer said ” Yesterday, our martyrs used their fates to ensure that no Eritrean is crushed or defeated by fear. Our martyrs knew that only the fearless enjoys liberty and freedom and guarantees the freedom of others. The memories of our martyrs confirm us that fear can be defeated ” ….

      Brother Teclay
Excellent and very well said as usual dear brother.
Evil ghedli and its remnants the so-called spineless, purposeless, opportunist oppositions under their pigs new lipstick and “justice/job seekers” deki Halimas and deki lementi goHafat eraymirayat are to sell Eritreans another so-called half-cooked “independence” as their gifts!!
Ghedli is the wrong medicine given to the wrong patient (rather to a healthy person “i.e. to healthy and already free people of Eritrea”); and what we see today in poor Eritrea is its side effects. It is unfortunate that some Eritrean elites don’t want to cure the patient with some other medicine, and they insist that the fault doesn’t lie with the medicine Evil-ghedli) or the doctor (DIA), but with the poor patient (Eritreans) being the sick patients.
To make matters more complicated and hopeless we have now the remnants terefmeref riffraffat goHafat opportunists of ELF who were never satisfied that EPLF supposedly “liberated” Eritrea and continues therefore their evil savage moslem Arab sponsored banditry so-called struggle to this day. They want to implement their outdated Pan-Arabism evil agenda/mission that Egypt started for them in the mid 1800s and reignited by supporting the foot soldiers mercenaries and criminal barbaric Islamic ELF’s agenda of destruction and mayhem. In order to control the Nile and the entire Red Sea coast and to make the red sea an Arab savage evil lake the riffraffs are unashamedly fighting under the so-called justice/job seekers disguises to Islamize/Arabize poor Eritrea. These hopeless losers must be living in hagere fantasia if they think they will fool Eritreans or if people would buy their fake acts.

      • Samson December 2, 2016

addition : eraymirayat deKhalu losers crippled for life trying to change things from their wheelchairs and sick/deathbeds. It won’t get any worse, will it?????

      • Z, Hagos December 3, 2016

        Samson,
Eritreans are not against the ELF and EPLF. They both sacrificed to liberate Eritrea and the Eritreans. The condemnation is directed against the one, who is a non-ELF or non-EPLF, and who is enslaving the Eritrean people. Have you ever heard of “the liberator has become the enslaver?” That is the problem in Eritrea. No only the enslaver but the cruelest ever slave-master on the face of the world. So, join those who are condemning Isaias and not the ELF or EPLF.

  • AHMED SALEH !!! December 2, 2016

    Z . Hagos
Obviously the forum had been under attack by suspicious commentators with offensive remarks to irritate
participants . To divert the subject in discussion for their destructive agenda and to invite for unnecessary confrontation instead words of support and solidarity with justice seekers looks the purpose behind their
attempts for long time . Using multiple nick names to disguise themselves shows bad intentions .
It doesn’t require college degree to detect and identify who is who in Eritrean political affairs and I don’t
see their stand neither with HGDF nor with opposition except anti-Eritrean sentiments . Wicked people
serve to corrupt and brutalize human beings in this cruel world and I denounce them all .
Please do not call them HGDF puppets because their point of views do not represent Eritrean interest but
to defend WEYANE interest . Their languages , ideas , dreams speak the volume . Simply accept them accordingly to understand from where they come from , they won’t change unless terminated from our site .
Otherwise ignore uninvited guests who try to maneuver on our issues . No worthy to give them attention .

You never touch or talk about possible or lasting solutions in Eritrea. But you are an expert in accusations and rhetoric games. I wonder where you learned all these theatrical and showbiz acts? You have a habit of ‘gual zereba and qoyoqa’ as I experienced with my brief debate with you in the past. You are in no position to lecture anyone, Period.
I can’t blame people for being ignorant, illiterate and uneducated; life is sometimes unfair, but I can’t stand those who write under the influence of stupidity and arrogantly….willful defiance against reason, logic and facts. It would be prudent to exercise caution and modesty instead of assuming the role of a judge to certify someone as genuine or not. In other word, who the hell are you to certify who is who? Do not entrust yourself with the authority to decide on someones comment. The only thing that we don’t tolerate is intolerance itself.
If empty rhetoric, denial, boastfulness ‘like yours’,stubbornness, and arrogance were all bricks and mortar, Eritrea would have been a land of skyscrapers. You guys have it all.

      • AHMED SALEH !!! December 3, 2016

From nowhere why are you so offended and whom are you trying to defend surprised me . Unless you have something in common with the subject in question you don’t have a reason to feel that way .
Last time I tried to communicate with you respectfully but your responses were
negative including with Simon G . Now you can’t fool me twice . SORRY .

  • Z, Hagos December 2, 2016

    AHMED SALEH,
The distractions unleashed by the people above can be considered those who do not have interest in saving the Eritrean people from the abuses of the tyrant. Such people could be accomplices with blood in their hands. Our people suffered enough and now are said to be the only slaves in the world because slavery already ended in every part of the world. Therefore, this day, today, the 2nd of December is Eritreans’ Day calling for slavery to end in Eritrea. The UN is a witness, the world is a witness, and each person in this world is a witness that Eritreans are now the only enslaved people in the world.
    ..
Whatever the distraction is trying to do, it cannot deviate the attention or focus of the discussion that we are fighting to end slavery in Eritrea. Who is responsible for the slavery in Eritrea? Of course, the tyrant, his generals and those people who are involved in taking advantage of our people’s situation. Time has come to pick up these enemies of the Eritrean people and put them in prison. Only then, our people will be free and save from slavery..

    • AHMED SALEH !!! December 2, 2016

      Z.Hagos
It is the weakness that drive people to blame with words of excuses because they
prefer to hide under the rug scared to look inside their problems . If we resist to
recognize the realities our eyes fall upon every moment of our daily life , we
become blinded to deny the truth and assist to prolong for ongoing sufferings .
Cowards have no shame to speak from their safe zone on behalf their unfortunate
      people left behind .
God gave us the power to see things not only with our eyes but also with our minds
and heart too . We reject to be part of any negative deeds in our history . It is moral
obligation to stand firmly alongside the voiceless oppressed human kind everywhere
      in our world .
Unfortunately for the last 25 years Eritrea missed to produce advocates for certain
causes to become agents for love and peace rather than the confusion they set up

It seems to hold responsibility for new born nation as sensitive as nurturing new born baby

I wonder when you will stop goofing off? You don’t have to state something you don’t know and try to ameliorate your goofing by accusing others all the time.
I think poor Ahmed, you may need to clean your rusty mind or head just like a car or machine needs engine cleaning and change of oil from time to time to function properly. You simply have the nerves to tell us a pure fabrication of information and falsify it. Do you also expect us to praise you for your miracle discoveries?

At least to know who is who in your surroundings put you at safe corner . As far as I’m
concerned to expose their true skin color helps forum participants to identify their unholy
      intentions .
I admire you guys for ignoring their use of bad mouth languages in public forum . Brushing
off from our side turned back to nail it straight into their forehead .
Visit HGDF supporters websites , they don’t speak these losers language against our nation .
They forget if our common enemies threaten the lives of our people we join the fight in
solidarity with Eritrean defense forces because when it comes at that level our political difference is secondary to set it aside . Our people safety can’t be compromised at all .
Eritreans raised arms to preserve their dignity since 1961 and dare a fool touch it .

Your kind of archaic thought of righteousness while absolutely wrong is what destroyed a once promising Eritrea to the ground and is driving its youth to the deserts of Sinai, Mediterranean Sea and Shimelba Camps.
As long as there are people of your type around who are the exact mirror of DIA in power, there will never be an Eritrea worth living in. I like Samuel Johnson’s fair and precise remarks : ‘patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel’. When one citizen accuses another of betraying or not loving the country the way he/she does, it is always to cover something. Are you covering something?
In Eritrea, DIA and his cheerleaders are the most patriotic but their brand of love for the people and the country is based on brutalizing the people while worshiping the shell that contains them. On a similar note, with your past gedli or personal experience, you must have a lot dark sides to cover and as a result you keep blaming others. Am I right in suspecting you of a mysterious cover ups?

I like using the word “mercenaries” to describe these enemies of the Eritrean people. When the world is concerned by the Eritrean people’s situation, these people don’t care except protecting the abuser. They would not know what the abuses are like until it falls on them. Just my children they know the fire by burning their fingers. That is why, they are the poorest of the poorest thinking animals. Even below donkeys.

It is time for these people to be sensitive to the sufferings of their people. When your people are paining, you don’t ignore them. You have to rush to help them.

I agree and fully share with your genuine and deep concern and care for the p[light of our people. However, no one can claim that he/she is the only ‘Eritrean’ who speaks the truth, I mean ‘political truth’ as some of you claim strangely.
Some of the comments you read are plain stupid, and part of me says that I should not dignify them with a response. But, it behooves me to clarify things. No one has any right to tell anyone what to write or what not to write.
In other word, everyone has the right to bring his/her idea to entertain or inform the public and it is up to the public scrutinize the idea and the validity of the argument.
Societies are mirror images of the kings or regimes that rule them. If the kings/regimes are cruel and mean, the subjects are also cruel and mean in general. If the kings/regimes are just and kind, the subjects tend to become just and kind.
Finally, let me sum it up with the following Tigrigna adage,
“Zemen kem ngusu, awdi kem nfasu”. yblu lebamatin mestewaltin abotat.

        • Z, Hagos December 2, 2016

          Bereket,
Exactly speaking, the saying ““Zemen kem ngusu, awdi kem nfasu” signifies that the reign of the king is defined by the policies of the king in that if nice policies the people will have nice life. Similarly, if the wind is blowing harshly and troublesomely, the people will not have a peaceful day.
          ..
Accordingly, it is your understanding that the harsh rule of Isaias is offering no peaceful life to the Eritrean youth. The youth under Isaias rule are being treated as slaves in that they are condemned to hardship throughout their early, late and aging life. The endless or for-life slavery imposed by Isaias on our people is, thus, considered as unacceptable and should immediately end for good. If possible, the removal of Isaias is the answer to ending the slavery in Eritrea.

Knowing where you want to be is one thing, knowing how to get there is also a ‘different’ another thing. The silent majority of Eritrean people, to that segment of the population that is too horrified by the PFDJ and too disgusted by the disorganized and unengaged opposition.
While I agree that the unengaged Eritrean is a majority (a super majority actually), it is actually a coalition of people who have many reasons for disengaging from Eritrean politics.
However, freedom is acquired by conquest, not by gift. It must be pursued constantly and responsibly. Freedom is not an ideal located outside of man; nor is it an idea which becomes myth. It is rather the indispensable condition for the quest for human. In other word, freedom will be the result of praxis, informed action, when a balance between theory and practice is achieved.
Finally, high morale devoid of actions on the part of the Eritrean opposition does not bring change nor does it removes the monster dictator Isaias
