Libyan navy officials say only 26 people have been rescued so far on vessel carrying up to 250 migrants.

A boat filled with up to 250 migrants heading for Europe has sunk off the Libyan coast and many passengers have died, a spokesman for the Libyan navy has said.
Only 26 people have been rescued after the boat sunk near Tajoura, east of the capital Tripoli, said navy spokesman Ayub Qassem.
“There are so many dead bodies floating in the sea,” Qassem told the Reuters news agency, adding that the under-equipped coastguard had few resources to search for survivors.
Migrants have been streaming out of Libya in boats in rising numbers for years, on their way to Europe.
So far in 2014, more than 100,000 have reached Italy’s shores, the Italian government said this week.
Human traffickers are exploiting the political chaos and lack of security that has blighted Libya since Muammar Gaddafi was toppled in an uprising in 2011.
Qassem said the migrants on the capsized boat were mostly Africans.
Libya’s coastguard mainly exists on paper and relies on fishing boats and tugs it borrows from the oil ministry.
More than 100 African migrants died in a similar boat accident in August.

ግን ንሕና ኩልና እዞም ንሰምዖ ዘለና ዋላሓደ እኵ ጻድቕ የብልናን። ኩልና ቦጅባጃት ሓጥኣን ኢና።
ሓጥያተኛታት ፈተውቲ ነብሶም እዮም፡ ጻድቓን ግን ዋላ ንሰይፍ`ውን ኣይፈርህን ኢዩ። ስለዚ እቲ ሽግር ናትና ሕልና ምምርማት ከድሌና ኢዩ።
ድሌታንትኸ ብኸመይ ይሰርሑ፡ ሕጂ`ውን ድሌታትና ብጻድቓናት ኢዮም ዝሰርሑ። ጻድቓናት`ከ እንታይ ኢዮም? ጻድቓናት ማለት ተባዓት ኢዮም፡ ንሰቦም እምበር ንነብሶም ኣይሓስቡላን ኢዮም። ንብጻዮም እምበር ንነብሶም ክኸድኑ ኣይፈትውን ኢዮም። ሓሶት ኣብ መልሓሶም ከቶ የላን። ጅግንነት ኢዩ መንነቶም፡ ጅግንነቶም ድማ ባእሲ፡ቕንኢ፡ ሃብቲ ከይመስለኩም፡ ጅግንነቶም ሕውነት፡ፍቕሪ፡እምነት ፡ስላም ንምግባር ኢዩ እምበር ህርፋን ወይ ሓለፋ ዝብል ከቶ ኣብ ኦም ኣይትረክብን ኢኻ።
ሽግር ተቓወምቲ ውድባት እንታይ ኢዩ እንድሕሪ ኢልኩም፡ ሓጥያት ኢዩ። ሓጥያት ማለት ናይ ሓፈሻዊ ኣጸዋውዓ ኢዩ፡ ብንጽል ክርኣ ከሎ ግን እቲ ኩሉ ሰብ ዘይደልዮ ` ፍርሂ` ኮይኑ ይርከብ። ፍርሂ`ኸ እንታይ ኢዩ። ፍርሂ ስስዓ፡ቕንኢ፡ ሓሶት፡ ዘለዎ ብዙሕ ነገራት የጠቓልል። ስለዚ ሕማምና ብፍላይ ድማ ሕማም ኤርትራውያን ተቓወምቲ ፍርሒ ኢዩ። እግዚኣብሄር ፍወሲ ትብዓት ይልኣኸልና ሃገርናን ህዝብናን ውን መድሓና።
እምበር ሎምስ ኩሉ ንሰምዖ ኣዝዩ ኣኽፊኡልና ይርከብ።
እሞ እዞም ስመርዶ ግበርዶ ዝብሉ ዘለው፡ ካልኣይ ጉባኤ ሳልሳይ ሱባኤ እንዳበሉ ዘዕበድብዱ መራሕቲ`ውድባት`ውን እግዚኣብሄር ትዓት ይፍጠረሎም፡ ሕጂ`ውን ተባዕ ማለት ጻድቕ ማለት ኢዩ፡ ጽድቕን ሓጥያትን ድማ ናይ ሓፈሻዊ ኣጸዋውዓ ነገራት ኢዮም።
እግዚኣብሄር ንሃገርናን ህዝብናን ይፈውስ።

Wrong , Eritrean problem is single handedly
one man made issues and it can be solved by
men . To direct the blame on Ghedli is to hide
from facing the real threat .
The book of Ghedli is closed in 1991 , preserved
for Eritrean history .
Aftermath atthis critical period we are at the
second stage of struggle for new created country
but we failed to continue our obligation on how
to protect national interest to leave on corrupted
individuals hands . Rather we chose to act like a
deaf not to hear and blind not to see on other
victims plight for many years .
