According to assenna sources, the desperate PFDJ regime in Eritrea is forcing Eritrean women including 50 years and above mothers into military training.

As indicated on assenna’s earlier news report, the forced military training of Eritrean mothers is ongoing in Tokombiya, a small town in Gash-Barka region.

Additional information received by demo.archive.assenna.com from Barentu, the regional capital of Gash-Barka, also confirms the occurrence.

The scheme has been executed in Barentu a few weeks earlier.

In all instances, PFDJ authorities have been employing coercive tactics to force the women join the military training. They warned the majority of the mothers that their coupon will be canceled, while threatened those who run small businesses their licence will be evoked unless they attend the mandatory military training.

Most Eritrean mothers have been almost ‘widowed’ as their husbands have been subjected to the illegal, endless ‘national service’, together with their 18 and above sons and daughters. Due to the uncharacteristic situation in the country, they have been overburdened with raising up small children like single mothers. Yet, the dictatorial PFDJ regime is putting more pressure on them with this unheard of ‘military training for mums’ new scheme.

Since last year, the fading regime has been engaged in training and arming 70 years and above men in several villages and towns of  Eritrea, including Asmara.

i was sorry with Ambesa Aton,
Ambesa aton was just an innocent emotional guy, however the cause was that, when he picked the bombing in mekela 20 year now and about the women who carrying training whom he said was they find their hand, anyway this could be due to of the person is frustration. this is right anyway but shouldn’t be repeated.

    Zera’i,

Do you want me to remain silent while you are talking like a stupid self-destructive person? I am assuming that you are Eritrean.

Eritrean history is cyclical. The old is new, and the new is old. It was Jebha that started rounding up and forcing Eritrean peasant men into its so called Sewra. The area, if not mistaken, was in the plains of Badme and Tokomia. The poor peasants were trained for few weeks and then used as cannon fodder in the many failed attempts to capture Barentu. At that time, there were so many adult young male, Jebha did not force many women into its ranks. This was way before Mengistu started his own peasant round ups which was less forceful.
The most systematic, forceful and evil arming of Eritrean women, mostly christian highlanders and Kunama started under the mad man in Asmara. Only God knows why christian women and Kunama women are still forced to bear arms.

    • David March 24, 2013

Jebha was protective of Muslim women but had no problem with Christian women carrying arms. Besides all of the sexual abuse in Jebha was exclusively directed towards Christian women.

Dude how about the fact that each eplf up from merah botoloni had 3 sex slave concubines. Do you want to hide that?

Do you want also to hid each colonel and up has several sex slave girls including the SOB WEDI BERAD.

        • David March 25, 2013

Woyane has an entire Harem consisting of the so-called Eritrean opposition.

          • ahmed saleh March 25, 2013

Forget about Christian women even your PATRIARCH is condemned from his freedom . In
fact , ASSENNA brought couple of times to highlight his cause but the response of
the commentators was too low for my astonishment . TALK , TALK then BLAME then HIDE
            game , how funny .
You gave to GOITA ISSAYAS unreserved authority and now be a man to accept your fault
and look for alternatives solutions instead acting liking a cry baby .
BE A MAN AND LEARN FROM WEDI ALI THE BLUE BLOOD ERITREAN SACRIFICE .

I was to remain silent on this issue. But it bothers me when everyone is against Ambesa Aton . What happen to the children of Mekele(kindergarten school) was crime against humanity no excuse. At that time some Eritreans inside and abroad were clapping their hand, this in itself is crime against humanity. They were sending their underage children to the frontier to e certain death while they were clapping their hand and saying ELILL and this is crime against humanity. What did they achieve except misery. Until now the young girls and boys were the victims. They could not even find oxygen to breath. They have showed us the bullets inside their body was bullets fired by ethiopians, by eritreans , by boduins by rashaidas by Egyptians and all these Eritrean mothers do is clap and ELIL. Now soon we are going to see exodus of these old women to Sinai and Libya hear their suffering. Without women HEGDEF is nothing. If Women abandoned HEGDEF, then HEGDEF is gone forever. Why these mothers did not advise their children who are border guards, prison guards , police , soldiers to be good to their fellow Eritreans. When they heard the death of their children on the martyr day announcement they clapped and said elil what a lunatic are some mothers. They were not martyred they were savagely killed in a world war 2 style Mass killing. Whoever responsible and who ever clapped should face justice.

      Dekebat ,

God bless you. What I said in a rude crude manner ,you said it in articulate & sober way .In 1994 When Isaias reigned bullets on our disabled veterans we were silent …..even some claiming that some awrajawyan were behind it..we knew what they meant…And then send Eritrean youth ..”under the guise of cultivation /tsahyai”..eaten by Ethiopian bullets.
Mothers are compassionate & caring..even if the children were mekelle /Agame..,Our problem is the Ghedli has made us soul – less. That is where the problem lies. I am 50+++something ,i have known the kind Eritrean people turnning in to heart less beasts infront of me.
Again thank you ..I liked your GMC (genetically modified children) comment.

May God give us back our soul.

      dekebat
i am not sure what you are taking about the school of the children in mekele, that is not fair. i am not HGDF supporter and nor agree with its methods, however sometimes people like you are interpreting and blaming all the problems to Eritreans.
In that time from you history, Ethipia started the war plane and come to inside Eritrea Asmara, bombed in many villages and killed families and children. I still see it in my eye how the villager inside Eritrea were crying loudly, the guy holding his child, his home and family were dead, the church burnt…and so on, i remember all this, after that Eritrea showed its power to inside makele which was in response, the war continue afterwards and was worse in the ground. so please stop blaming Eritrean in that time, it was Ethiopian war plane started bombing and hurting children.
We know HEDF started the war politically, but the bombing and all the destruction hard by the Ethiopian.

      • tolerate March 24, 2013

        Zerai ,

You must be the only person in the planet that believes Ethiopia satarted the war..because ,Eritrean govt. has accepted guilt as the perpetrator of the war & accepted to pay Ethiopia more money than the other way round.
It is the opposition that are sustainning Isaias by sub – consciously (not consciously)..supporting Isaias.

        • Zerai March 24, 2013

          Tolerate
read it again, i have no said Ethiopia started the war.
i said, HGDF started the war politically, but the bombing was started by Ethiopia. I was there in the ground of Bada.

          • tolerate March 25, 2013

            Zerai,

The guilty is the one that started the war..If I hit you first without provocation..I may have slapped you..but you could respond with head/Testa or cassoti/fist….You started the Testa or the Fist..does not stand chance in a court of law or in a court of logic.

            with respect & logic..

  • dekibat March 24, 2013

    Zerai,
Its good to hear from you that HEGDEF starts the war. But remember the Ethiopian air raid was mainly of military significance eg Asmara military airport and other military installations and some tank buster’s helicopters were also deployed. The collateral damage of civilians is everywhere if there is war. Remember the Eritrean military were firing from churches, from places of historical significance and ethiopians thanked Isias for giving them the chance to destroy those places and its people. Yes ethiopians destroyed ,raped but they have limited their destruction given the superiority during the war. Let me remind you, it was the lunatic Isias arrogantly said to the UN that the scattered bones of soldiers inside Eritrea was not his soldiers.UN peace keepers were astonished by his remarks. These bodies of fallen soldiers were inside Eritrea and at the time the Ethiopians were not in the run. They went deep into Eritrean territory and did whatever they wanted and went out back to their base in Ethiopia proud flying their flag taking with them their own fallen soldiers. Eritreans were in retreat and in disarray, they did not have the chance to burry their own fallen soldiers at that time Isais shamelessly said the bodies were those of Ethiopians.ofcourse he send them to mass killing massacre. The response of UN was that these bodies of soldiers who defended their country do not deserve to be left dishonoured plus it was a disease risk for the population and UN buryied them when it was possible. How can the Eritrean women and population did not ask isias where is the bodies of our children instead of clapping and saying Ilil.

      Dekibat
you came in the name of Dekebat Eritrea, how on earth can you do that !! why don’t u be proud of your country Ethiopia ? 100% you are Tgraway perpetrator and can you please leave this site !!
your speaking is totally totally false and reluctant.
you know i was there, we know that, the first thing is, Weyana killed civilan and destroyed house in the area of badme, we know that, HGDF started the war politically, but that wasn’t like you mention. HGDF DID NOT START AIR BOMBARDMENT. do you understand now,
you also said ‘solders dead was not Ethiopian and all Ethiopian soldiers was buried’. Don’t lie, we buried hundreds of thousands Ethiopian Soliders at the 1st and 2nd werar. we had no much losses, Ethiopian soliders loss heavily in the 1st and 2nd heavily heavily.
in the 3rd war, they busted our DfaA with heavily losses in both of us.
they destroyed hundreds home villages, factors and rap may women…that was causing to us but the loss in personnel was heavily in to them. We are not happy having the war due to mistake of the HGDF regime, otherwise you can not say ‘ Ethipians did not hurt children or did not start the air bombardment’. if you don’t know history don’t speak about this, leave this site and do your country home work, don’t make us feel back to the HGDF regime, we are not happy to work against HGDF but that is what we can do when we are again oppressed us and we are not mean happy to work with Ethiopia but we needed peace, however with the explanation you are doing i don’t mind there will be peace even with Ethiopia.
the first thing is that, you Ethiopian Tegaru in particular need to be proud of your orgin and leave us alone, don’t come in our affairs and don’t pretend, that is sin by god and wrong by law.

      • David March 25, 2013

        Zer’ai,

You are a hero and you will remain a hero as long as you stay away from Woyane and aklabat Woyane.

      • tolerate March 25, 2013

        Zerai,

I am not sure you understand to think in a multiple track….Dekibat by standing up for the children of Mekelle..he is standing up for the kids in Asmara,Keren ,Aqordat, Adikeih,Barentu,Dibarwa..etc. Being a heartless ass h*le..does not make one Eritrean (actually it does)..never mind keep on being Eritrean.

  • Timnit March 25, 2013

Yes, it is true. My Aunt is one of them. She is in training because her husband is sick and she have to get trained for him. What a messed up government! Our people are suffering because of this stupid government.

      Timnit,

I respect you because of your family.

them seriously because you never know who you are dealing with .

        Ahmed
i do not like talking with these garbage reluctant, but you know, the first thing is they are not Eritrean and pretending to be Eritrean telling us about what it was whilist we are here what it was in Eritrea and Ethiopia war.
2nd i want them to be proud of their country and leave us alone. i am not supperter of HGDF but sometimes when people come pretending to be Eritrean and trying to disrupt our process, they should be answered. I know them very very well like the person writing in the name of Dikibat, just see his words and idea, like the person writing in the name of David and Belay…i know Tegaru is idea very very well.
But whilst we need the peace with them, we need to prepare for our safety systems, otherwise they are dangerous trying to blackmail Eritreans pretending to be more than Eritrean and then when you try to critic Ethiopia you will know them what their response ! so we are ! we hate HGDF rule not our people and land !!

  • Saba March 25, 2013

By reading those comments i dont wonder why PFDJ is having great chances to succeed in the evilish AGENDA of destruction.

Cant we argue and discuss this ETHIO&ERI War after we removed the main pain the biggest harm for both countries?

it is heartbreaking enough to see elderly men been forced to carry guns. to see elderly women forced to get military training is unbearable. eseyas has left no stone unturned to keep his ‘presidency’. but he gives a shit about Eritreanism, Eritreans and Eritrea. people like David are making fun about our poor people. ‘anchuwa’ eton is diverting the focus of attention away from the news item. something is terribly wrong with us folks! time for self examination is long overdue. but we think we can afford to be silly. this is pathetic.
