PFDJ’s Yemane Gebreab was asked by Swedish TV where Dawit Isaak is?

The Swedish TV, Expressen, ambushed PFDJ’s Yemane Gebreab at the airport and asked him where the Eritrean-Swedish Journalist, Dawit Isaak is. Yemane answered with silence after silence.

This was not less evil than the silly answer of his boss, Isaias Afewerki,   – ‘I DON’T KNOW HIM!.. HOW WOULD I KNOW WHERE HE IS, IF I DON’T KNOW HIM?’.  But most Eritreans are aware that Dawit and his colleagues are languishing in Era’Ero, the infamous high security PFDJ prison in Eritrea.

The sad and paradoxical thing is, the Eritrean mob was dancing in one of the expensive hotels in Sweden as Swedish journalists were keen to ask Dawit’s whereabouts. And yet, many who couldn’t set foot to the dancing floor are expressing pleasure from watching the PFDJ’s adventure on video clips, while blaming those echoing Dawit’s Pain.  God bless Eritrea and its people!

I can’t yet understand why such person- the political advisor to the dictator- is allowed to set foot in Europe after the UN sanction of 2010… This advisor- whom the dictator sees as another reservist- is travelling without difficulties, while the sanction is still meant to bar such people from traveling to Europe, etc.

The government of Sweden is failing to apply the sanction, and that is quite sad and hard to understand…It is also regretable that the Eritrean opposition in Sweden is still failing to force a change of policy on the part of Sweden.

The answer is simple. We and the opposition did not make enough pressure and advocacy. The opposition is busy fighting each other, while HGDEF is oppressing our people. It is sad but it is the naked truth. We should have made a concerted publication to create public opinion. We just took it for granted. Our opposition should forget their political differences and concentrate on how to topple Isayas. I am blaming including myself. We are too weak and HGDEF is using our weakness.

        I feel the same, too.

    Tack, Thank you Expressen:
Yemane Monkey was frozen like a real hbey Drfo (a monkey from Drfo) infront of strong headlights on the road to Massawa.
Yemane Monkey can lie between his teeth like Hitler’s propagandist Joseph Gobels but he can not hide the fact that Eritrea is still home of the largest number of imprisoned innocent journalists, including ato Dawit Issaak.
Eritrea is also politicaly and economicaly bankrupt nation which produces the largest number asylum seekers.
If the Hgdef conference participants believe that Eritrea is moving in the right direction, when will they go to Eritrea and do their national services?
Thank you, yonas t mehari for the satellite image of Era Ero where we will build one day one of Eritrea’s best monuments to our brave heroes.

I am very sorry for those young Eritrean dancing here for PFDJ. This young people should go to Eritrea & have to face, serve in SAWA, look what the Eritrea youth is facing his life in Eritrea. It is not only here Dancing without any future.
Go to Eritrea & see, what the real life is.
Eritrea is right now without any Constitution, no Law, only PFDJ is living there life, the Eritrea people has no right, no justice. The Human right is abused very badly.
I have never expected like this after the Independency.

    Very abset with EPLF/PFDJ

This a good start. Unfortunately, with the exception of few, foreign journalist do not ask the right questions. This at least is to the point. We should help them to phrase their questions such us: what about the constitution? What about the freedom of press? What about the youth deserting the country in thousands? What about imprisonment without trial for a decade? These and similar question are the right questions to be asked.

    • Cambo April 10, 2012

They do not need to ask much about other issues like “constituition”. This is a Swedish TV for the Swedish public. The Swedish public know and worry about Dawit Issaak and a simple question about Dawit Issaak is enough.
Yemane monkey’s silence anwers all about Eritrea’s lack of freedom of press, justice and constituition.
A simple question did all the magic. Politics should deal with the basic issues first, the more complex it gets, the more people are turned off. In Sweden the image of their own citizen dawit Issaak still languishing in Eritrea speaks lauder than any other issue.
Lesson: get a symbol, focus on basic rights, make it simple.

I understand your point. But the Issue of Dawit Isaac is part of a gmore complex political and social wreck. Talking of that issue alone we risk of simplifying it. Even the Swedish journalists should know the problem of Eritrea is not only Dawit. My point was to expose all the evils of HGDEF. In any case we are saying the same thing with a different perspective.

Isn’t weird to see a foreign journalist asking on whereabouts of Eritrean Dawit Issac, at the same time his Eritrean brothers protect the journalist from Asking the question. May god save Eritrea from PFDJ and supporters. Thank you to reporter who asked the question, I am sure she knew Yemane will never answer the question about Dawit but she went head and spent her time asking him.

  • tears_of _the_dead April 10, 2012

And there was the usual arrogance with Yemane and his guards..typical of the hollow PFDJ/EPLF junta…

I mean Dawit Isaac is in prison – a swedish national. And Yemane is walking arrogantly in Sweden. Me either, I can’t understand why the sewedish government granted him Visa.

  • Truly,Truly i say to you April 10, 2012

Brother Semere you are absolutely right. That is not the way to ask the question. There are a lot of burden issue besides some of them you mentioned to ask this Mafia boss adviser. For instance we know no one from domestic Journalists will have courage to ask about Naizgis´ Issues. if monkey stay in Sweeden some one of you from the opposition side must inform to the Swedish journalists inorder to ask Yemane Monkey about Naizgi. And also additionally the Swedish journalist musk ask Monkey the following question , If he believes his party is supported by the majority of Eritreans, about what they scare for not make legal public or parliamentary elections. I mean they must ask him why the people of Eritrea have no right to elect their own favorite president, if Isayas mean i am in power because all my bubbel love me like his friend Gadafi.

    • semere April 11, 2012

      Truly,
Absolutely correct! The foreign journalists know our situation in bits and pieces but lack the comprehensive knowledge of the reality. As we are saying it is up the opposition and the rest of us to help them ask the right questions. HGDEF successfully muted the local media and we who are in Diaspora. Let us join hands and change the course of history!

I do not know what to make of this man but my blood boils to see such a wonderful people being exterminated by him and his satanic boss an co.

He has been doing what the head of the evil dictatorial group could not do.

    May God save us all!

Demonstrations should follow him wherever he sets foot!
