November 3rd Declared Day of Mourning for Victims of Lampedusa Tragedy by African Heads of State and Government

Addis Ababa, 21 October 2013 – November 3 has been declared a continental day of mourning to be observed by all members states of the African Union, in memory of the African victims who drowned off Coast of Lampedusa Island in Italy on the 3rd of October. African Heads of State and Government made the decision to declare the continental day of mourning at their extra ordinary summit held at the African Union Headquarters, on 12 October.

The commemoration by all African countries of the day of mourning constitutes an opportunity to express solidarity with the families of the victims and reiterate Africa’s grave concern regarding the recurrence of this kind of tragedies that hurt human rights and human dignity and threaten peace, security and stability.

The continental day of mourning will serve as well as a call for all Africans including the youth to reflect on appropriate actions to be taken with a view of finding a lasting solution to this persistent problem that leads to the loss of African young people without whom the continent cannot build a prosperous and peaceful future.

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE HEADS OF STATE AND GOVERNMENTS OF AFRICA FOR THEIR DECISION THAT “November 3rd Was Declared Day of Mourning for Victims of Lampedusa Tragedy by African Heads of State and Government. LAST TIME I CRITICIZED AU FOR BEING TOO LATE TO DECLARE ITS STANCE WHICH WAS RATHER CONFUSING. AS FAR AS I KNOW THIS DECISION OF THE HEADS OF STATES AND GOVERNMENTS MAKES THE TOTALITARIAN DICTATOR UNHAPPY ALTHOUGH WE KNOW HE HAS DECADES OLD EXPERIENCES OF HIDING HIS TRUE REACTION.LET ALL OF US STAND TOGETHER WITH THE DECISION.

A mafia head of state and his few clique they don’t give a damn. They are utterly idiots not fit to govern. We Eritreans I am not saying all of us ( excluding the HGDEF those subhumans) should be ashamed of ourselves to get sympathy from fellow Africans and the world whereas still fighting on petty issues allowing a useless drunken mad man covering the country in hell. Unless we take action and act swiftly we will not only see more of the same but we will have no country in few years. All the sign is indicating that. Our situation is at a level of death or life. We need to do a soul search and soon.

“every one said we have to kill the dictator who is going to kill him we eritreans dead long time ago God bless eritrea”

We are divided and weakened, but not dead, fortunately. The dictator is already dead (politically). Finally his masks came down, and his ugly face now looks like that of a wild pig. No more standing ovation for him. He lost prestige, respect, and in the eyes of the public, now he is just a monster. There is no way the regime can reform itself, it has long passed through the gate of no return to hell. He should not be killed, he should face justice. We will prevail.
