The conference organized by EEPA( Externa European policy advisory) to align the US and EU policy on democracy and human rights abuse in Eritrea is a solidarity action for humanity and is welcome by the Eritrean people. International support and advice is a human action and must be appreciated. If the conference purpose is to bring all the actors in the region/ Horn of African countries, in case of Eritrea those invited are only members of the CIDRIE and a leader from Eritrean political organizations/ EPP, EDP and EPM.

A political observer contacted by demo.archive.assenna.com to comment on the upcoming EU affiliated conference due in November 2009, on Eritrean affairs, stated that any policy or discussion forum on Eritrea should reflect the reality of the Eritrean society; mainly the ethnic and religious diversity as well as the political difference that exists in Eritrea.

CidriThe 30 years war of Eritrean independence was meant to be a war to end all wars. Unfortunately this is not to be so.   Today Eritrea is back at war this time with itself.  It is a war between those who seek the implementation of the constitution, the rule of law and respect of human rights and those who deny these rights. It is also a war of ideas. In short it is a war between the ideology of repression and the ideology of liberation.
