The WEYANE SYNDROME II
By Fetsum Abraham//4/1/2013

HERE AND THERE FROM THE FORUM
A modest and Kool dude called Johnah impacts the forum stating that;
“The sooner we accept issias for what he is a bad eritrean leader and mis-management is setting us back we can start looking how to get rid of him and his policies. You see for me it doesn’t matter if Issias was born in Sudan or Ethiopia.. for 30+ years most Eritrean saw him as an Eritrean hero because he played a role in independence of Eritrea.
I don’t hate Issias. I don’t like his policies and decision he is making for Eritrea.
But at the end of the day, he is as Eritrean as Petros Solomon or Wedi Ali. Just like Menguistu is as Ethiopian as Meles or Haile Selaasie. I think all this talk of his Eritreaness are just distraction. It is like when you are taking a penalty kick in soccer game and focusing on putting ball into net and you team member keeps reminding or goes out his way to tell you to be careful the ball was made in China?”
Johnah logically challenges “Truly” on the same matter stating that,  “you make my point for me better than I can… “Issias is evil therefore he can’t be Eritrean”. “Issias has no means have a single drop of Eritrean blood” So, what? He hates Eritrean? But up 2000, you couldn’t find a single eritrean to say anything negative about the man nor question is eritreanness. He was a national hero who was part of movement that liberated the country and now you say he hates eritrean and he is not an Eritrean .. If he hates Eritrean wouldn’t he have just left meada in 30 years and went to Sudan and go to Europe or America and have simple refugee life.”
Comment: I thank you all for communicating your opinions and specially Johnah for directing people to focus on the main agenda rather than wasting time and energy on something insignificant like the origin of the president. What Johnah is teaching us is that the concept of Eritreaness is a function of outlook and practical experience rather than bloodline. He is telling us to stay consistent and face reality as it reveals itself through time and experience.
I am 100% in harmony with the teacher because I cannot take away Afwerki’s extraordinary contribution to the struggle just because he failed to run an obedient society after independence without being a hypocrite. To me, he is an Eritrean iconic leader that directed our struggle to success but unfortunately ended up becoming the worst dictator on earth after independence.
Quote:
Inconsistency is the mother of hypocrisy: You cannot be just and astute if you lose your balance through bias and contradiction. Reality does not flip-flop; it stays unconditionally intact forever.
*******
Introduction: In the previous article, I discussed the brief history of the Weyane leaders and their current situation where they are individually trying to survive the overall situation rather than to dictate today’s Ethiopian political terms. To my judgment, the internal scuffle for the most part appears most likely on the fate of the businesses owned by the TPLF and material resources or wealth accumulated through the years under the command of its leaders.
One of the most significant developments this year happened in recent TPLF conference, where  “Veteran leaders of the TPLF, Seyoum Mesfin, Berhan G/kirstos, Arkebe Equbay and Zeray Asgedom have resigned and will be replaced in the TPLF CC as part of the ongoing process to renew the TPLF leadership by newcomers.” What effect this may have on Sebhat Nega’s attempt to come back to power with these individuals in mind (within TPLF) while still antagonized by the Seeye/Gebru sect is yet to be seen. This development, nevertheless, leaves the Azeb clique that includes Bereket Simon from without and General Samora from within as the most dominant group in today’s TPLF. It may also gives new Tigrean politicians within the front a chance to implement their agendas more effectively.
My subjective reality
In so far as my understanding till this point is concerned, power has slipped away from the hands of the Weyanes after the death of Meles. Although TPLF veterans know they can’t win individual fights, that they must remain loyal to each other and fight any potential threat together, their internal conflict is too deep rooted for them to unite, needless to state that the Tigrean people are too tired of conflicts and inconsistencies to follow anyone that takes them to war any longer. I do not think it is possible to form an army that represents the Tigreans alone and there is no justification for it.
In short, there is no justified cause for the Tigrean people to be agitated for war like during the era of struggle that motivated them to fight for “Tigrean Independence” (though it took a sharp turn at the end of the process). The people have gone through the highest level of nationalism and unity during that time that they cannot re-experience an emotion as intense, especially in the absence of a CAUSE. “Abai-Tigrai” may then be the only motivating theory left for them if it ever matters as in the past but this dream has been shattered as a matter of time and experience, needless to state that it cannot be practical without the consent of Eritreans and all other Ethiopians; yet of the Tigrean people as well. This means the theory cannot be reduced to practice by force and thus; one should leave it alone and move on.
How then would the veteran leaders face the new Ethiopian political dynamics with all the problems TPLF has been going before and after Meles?
This takes us to Addis. Hailemariam Dessalegn is now the executive leader of the country and the Chair of  the single party (EPRDF composed of organizations representing the Oromos, Amharas and Tigreans), and therefore also heads the TPLF, the army and the security services. In this capacity, he has all the power inherited from Meles Zenawi behind the support of the international community, specially the US.
The scattered TPLF elements cannot, thus challenge him specifically with the army conditioned to stay out of politics; only set to react upon the sole decision and direction of the Central Committee headed by the Prime Minister. Hailemarianm Dessalegn indeed has the time to carefully accentuate his own position with insignificant resistance from the party. There is no single figure popular and strong enough to antagonize his administration in the near future.
In Ethiopia’s PM adds two deputies in cabinet reshuffle, Thu, 29 Nov 2012, Reuters
Reports that the “- Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn had appointed Communications and Information Technology Minister Debretsion Gebremichael[Tigrean] and newly-appointed Civil Service Minister Muktar Kedir[Oromo] as deputy prime ministers, joining existing deputy Demeke Mekonnen [Amara]. It is the first time the Horn of Africa country has had three deputy leaders.”
With this arrangement, chances are it is impossible for any Tigrean group or personality to dominate the current Ethiopian politics any more, although Debretsion Gebremichael has at least a 33% chance of replacing the current prime minister like each of the other two politicians in the same position in case something necessitates change ahead. He cannot, however, resurrect the TPLF from its graveyard even if he becomes the Prime Minister of the country eventually (though unlikely because the other two deputy prime ministers from central and south Ethiopia posses 66% of the chance to hold the spot collectively).
One can then safely conclude that the Ethio-Eritrean socio-political relationship in view of our neighbor can no longer be maneuvered by Tigreans but only by the composite voice of politicians under the central government of Ethiopia.
Apparently, the WEYANEs only exist in psychological gesture in the mind of some Eritreans, not in today’s East African political reality. In so stating, I do believe the Tigreans are our natural allies who fought with us during the struggle. No other group in Ethiopia ever consistently supported the Ertitrean independence as the Tigreans did. Our  independence was actualized because of their support similar to their success was orchestrated with our support. Yet, the TPLF has never reversed its position on Eritrea even during the war on Badme. I condemned the massive deportation of Eritrean-Ethiopians from the country during the war: it was inhuman and savage, something provoked and enforced by the anti-Eritrean clique (Seeye, Gebru, etc) that took maximum advantage of Meles’s partially Eritrean roots.
I also condemn our government for initiating the war in Badme and far beyond because it could have stopped it had it gone for peaceful resolution of the conflict. It abandoned the Amiches by disregarding their situation when it ignited the war and resisted international pressure for peaceful withdrawal from Badme. The deportees could not stay at home because of the government’s insensitive approach that denied them settlement in the vast lands of unused Eritrean lands. They lost everything they had in Ethiopia and rendered homeless by the regime for them to scavenge better survival elsewhere as refugees. The government of Eritrea in reality inflicted equal damage at minimum to that sect of our society in my opinion.
Further, TPLF’s wrong action against our people and its said attempt to capture Assab during the war by no means justify the theory that it went for re-annexing Eritrea back to Ethiopia because we fought a war and they did what they had to do like we did what we had to do to achieve their goals, whatever way the result went immaterial. Whether they had the intention to invade Assab or remain in Assab had the Ethiopian army succeeded in capturing it is something they only know for sure but I believe we would have dislodged them by force behind international support had that been the case and they know this very well. The whole world knows what Eritreans can do to their enemies under the principle of a CAUSE and no crazy Ethiopian government will ever try to mess with us if we get our house straight and create a lawful society that focuses on education, technology, business economy and peace.
The fact remains that we are destined to remain socially and geographically connected with the Ethiopians including the Tigreans and our eventual cooperation as different nations is not only possible but also unavoidable for both of us. Therefore, we need to move on forward towards peaceful coexistence rather than destroying each other because we cannot let the grudge fade away from out memories. We need to learn from that crisis, make sure it would not take place any more and proceed. The entire East African community will fail when one of us fails and the Eritreans cannot continue focusing on the Weyanes because our destiny does not depend on any external force but rather on our unity and democratic freedom in our country. We need to resist the Afwerki’s means of survival by psychological manipulation based on the fallacious theory that the TPLF was THE ERITREAN SOCIETY’S CENTER OF EXISTENCE.

    Genuine Eritreans,

Lets see the anology Fitsum Abraham used in his attempt to refocus our attention away from the Origin of Isaias Afewerqi:

“……….It is like when you are taking a penalty kick in soccer game and focusing on putting ball into net and you team member keeps reminding or goes out his way to tell you to be careful the ball was made in China?”…….”

Now, ask yourself: can paying attention to the root of the National leader with respect to his betrayal to the Eritrean Sovereignty, on the one hand, and paying attention to the root of a soccer ball in the middle of trying to score a point, on the other, have similar relevance?

No. This is fallacious argument presented by Fitsum to belittle and confuse the issue at hand.

Recall, even Mr. Adhanom, the Foreign Minister of Ethiopia had characterized the Coup attempt as “Dangerous”, and Ethiopia demonstratively had placed it troops on alert and Aiga website wrote about the incident that The Davil You Know Is Better The Angel You Do Not Know. The meaning of all these must be clear to all genuine Eritreans.

Fistum Abraham makes it clear that he does not hate either Isaias Afewerqi or Woyane. The question is: Is he capable of hating any body for any reason? Or does he practice what Jesus Christ taught, Love your Enemy? or is he preaching mischievous gospel that will lead us into pacifism as a prelude to submission. For me he sounds the latter, of course, in vain.

However, we, the genuine Eritreans have strong case against Isaias Afewerqi for destabilizing our country, subjecting our people to unnecesary war, sanctions; isolation, human traffickers, dangerous migration of youth, weakening our armed forces etc. and all of these are valid points to question the intergrity of the person who is leading the country and to impeach and hang him for endagering our country.

For Fitsum Abraham, all the above valid cases against Isaias Afewerqi are simple distractions and he loves him and woyane nothwithsnding. If you ask him, when is the right situation to hate, to impeach and hang a traitor leader, he will pretend to be Jesus Christ, his hideout until he achievs his vain heart felt desire, the destruction of our Sovereignty.

Is it possible for Isaias Afewerqi to fight for the Eritrean Independence as a prelude to establish Abai Tigrai? Yes, absolutely.

Hitler was not a German citizen when he volutered to fight along German Armed Forces in the First World War, where he was given the highest award for bravery. When he became a Chanceller of Germany, he united the two countries by force.

Isaias Afewerqi is a first generation born in Eritrea from Tegaru parents; his father came to Eritrea as a little boy and he returned to Tigrai where was buried. Isaias Afewerqi’s wife is Tigraweiti etc. There are many valid points to suspect his mission in the wake of his destabilizing activities against our country. Every genuine Eritrean must think of this idea and preempt him by any means necessary.

      • Dawit Meconen April 4, 2013

        Belay….

To tell you the truth your argument does not make sense, specially , the car Analogy.

In Eritrea, owing to various historical coincidence, there are many people of diverse origin, who, proudly believing in their Eritrean citizenship, took part in the independence struggle holding important positions, and who are still serving the country loyally and with first rate commitment. To these people I raise both of my hands to solute them.

The Eritrean revolutionaries wholeheart acceptance of others without prejudice or concern to the possibility that they could be spies of the country of origin tesfies to the Eritrean core nature of tolerance, justice ,courage and self-confidence.

Isaias Afewerqi was one of the others. Like any one he worked for liberation of our country , for which, like any one else, he was commended and ululated. Since independence however, we have been noticing him pushing our people and country into harms way, covering himself by illusions and scapgoats and surrounding himself by his likes after incacerating the genuine Eritreans.

There is no doubt Isaias Afewerqi has betrayed the Eritrean cause, their unity, Sovereignty and their country’s Territorial integrity. There are still many, many Eritreans who have not given up on him, who still take his treacherous lies without skepticism, who still believe that the United States is behind their frustration and agony. Unfortunately for them, they may not be aware of it but they are in denial; they refused to face the reality of betrayal, an invitation for catastrophy at the end of the day.

As I have said above, among the many, the core of Eritrean nature are tolerance and justice; extrajudicial wanton killings, incacerations etc. aliens are to our way of life. Such bestial behaviors belong to Tegaru, people of his origin; the centuries of brutal experience of Jeberts of Tigrai testifies; their inhumane deportation of our people from every corner of Ethiopia further attests that bestial nature is immutable.

Genuine Eritreans in diaspora and elsewhere:

Wake up!Revolt! Isaias Afewerqi is destroying our nationalism, people, culture, langauge etc. under cover of mirages, scapegoats. Don’t wait until the final hour doom. Preempt him Now.

        Eritrean Defense Forces:

History have burdened you as the ultimate Proctector of our Sovereignty and as our country’s potent agent of Democratic Revolution. I do not underestimate the magnitude of your responsiblity in wake of berayal of Isaias Afewerqi but in me, I have only confidence in yo!

Those who are deserting our country:

        Only shame is you reward!

Those who are eating woyane leftovers:

You are worse than the dead traitors. You are a curse to our country!!

Please stay focused on your own people so that they do not become source of income for the Egyptian organ harvesters. You reckon TPLF is ”in graveyard”? This is far from the truth. We know what happened to all those that had the wrong assessment of the TPLF i’e EPLF, ELF,EPRP,DERG,Kinijit, G-7, EDU etc. TPLF has done a grand job for Ethiopia; what has EPLF that you supported done for Eritrea ? To appreciate TPLF’s accomplishments visit Ethiopia. Even EPLF rejects including Tadesse Aregahane are welcomed.

For and all of these are valid points to question the intergrity of the person who is leading the country and to impeach and hang him for endagering our country.”

  • Truly,Truly i say to you April 3, 2013

May be the other point i disagree with Fitsum points is about those Ameches who enforced to back home by Meles administration Is. Sorry in this case i don´t want to blame that much PM Meles for the action he took. Because i believe it should to be Isayas´s responsibility to think about our citizens life safety and destiny in Ethiopia, as long as he decide to open war. So it stupidity if you think the enemy should to care first about our citizens safety. What i am saying in other word is from the military strategical point of view specially for security reason it doesn´t seem to me what Meles did was wrong. But for woyanes reaction in Eritrea side Isayas was doing in the contrary. In that difficult time he was hunting real Eritrean heroes instead doing the same like Woyane deed. He was agree the donation for Woyane to be transit through port Asab. Finally i want to correct you Fitsum,it is not for the first time in Ethiopia when nation have three Prime Ministers, itwas also Happened similarly in Mengistu era. Teferi Banti as head of state. Mengistu H/ Mariam and Atnafu Abate as depty chairman too.

  • Petros Haile April 3, 2013

    Selam Fitsum,
I appreciate your no nonsense style of writing,

I agree in both Ethiopia & Eritrea, a genuine democratic rule has a long way to go …. No doubt PFDJ is the only power in Eritrea, while the Woyane dominated EPRDF is the only rule in Ethiopia ! As you clearly put it , If Eritreans are united under a democratic and constitutional rule, No one dares to challenge us, but unfortunately, The Woyane elites knew exactly how the tyrant in Eritrea thinks, and how he operates … in fact, they know him well, more than he knows himself … In the early stage of the woyane movement, Shabia sent most Eritrean fighters of Tigryan origin to join the movement in Tigrai, and contemptuously, and selectively supported groups & organizations that would speed up the single agenda for Eritrean independence, rather than advance cooperation on the basis of mutual interest, respect and codependency … Isayas misread the seemingly subordinate nature of early TPLF movements as submissive to his sinister agenda … That was Mistake #1 ! … Ethiopia Sent the Amiches who were born and raised in Ethiopia , Mistake #2 … In short, every time you uprooted people and forcefully deport them, for the purpose of fulfilling a narrow organizational agenda … not only wrong, but it will have a negative impact that may last for generation. Many mistakes were made before and after independence … But the one that has grave consequence is when the people became a direct victims of a very wrong and unpopular policies, which both EPLF & TPLF are known for thorough out their history ! Normally innocent victims respond in one of the two ways … those with a capacity of a great wisdom distinguish the decision makers from that of its victims, while others react on the basis of their emotions … the second category seems to dominate this particular forum !
On the current reality of Ethiopia & Eritrea, most of the issues you described them as subjective, in fact, they are very true … Your observation on resource accumulation by the Tigrean Elites is becoming “Yeadebabai Mister” , and the extremist are trying to revive the anti Eritrean sentiment, and actively working towards the balkanization of Eritrea, on the basis of Religion, ethnicity as well as, with the help of a politically defunct element of former Jebha members … Although my preference of the future Eritrean political system is that of a federal nature, but it should not be designed, armed and imposed by the woyane generals and their civilian advisers, the result will be catastrophic … The Woyane calculation in subjecting Eritrea to submission has a multifaceted approach, by their own admission … As you have heard the late PM Meles and Berket Simon repeatedly approved the direct involvement when their “security” is threatened, and they are not shy in openly admitting and supporting the many armed groups, who are willing to kill and destroy the EDF members, … On occasion, Walta & Aiga-forum posted the military operations that ambushed and killed many young Eritreans, by the same talk-en our Eritrean buffoon is no different in thinking he will destabilize Woyane by actively supporting the Anti Ethiopia surrogate movements … Deja-vu all over again … ” the enemy of my enemy is my friend” … I wonder when is this mutual destruction will end !!!

  • Adhanom April 4, 2013

    Hello Festum,

    Well done analysis!!
It has a lot of significance and implication for the existing reformists, mainly based in Ethiopia, and future leaders on how to handle the political strategies and approach towards Ethiopia, and specifically Tigray, to keep and secure the interest of our country.

Whether we like or not the “hardware” of Weyane is being depreciated with the lost of his icon leader, PM Meles, and other Weyane top officials, but the “software” still exists though it has positive and negative merits.

Objectively, it is less likely that the minority to win and dominate continuously in progressive democracy. Ethiopians increasing start to question the software of Meles left behind as it is not scanned very well with anti-virus:
    1. hostility to media freedom and innocent journalists;
    2. paralyzing and intimidating influential political opponents or dissidents;
    3. impeding the freedom of worship of Ethiopian Muslims;
    4. oppressing and marginalizing the Ogaden people;
    5. involving in degradation of Gambella people and other minorities
    6. suspending the final and binding boarder demarcation with Eritrea
    7. dominating the army and security with high ranked Tigreans etc…

Therefore, when the new leadership starts to revise critically the negative legacy of PM Meles, there is high probability that the software could be expired. How that expired software affects future Eritrea to which its independence confirmed? What will be the role and destiny of the Eritrean opposition groups in Ethiopia to secure the interest of our people and our nation? Are they going to prioritize the interest of your organization or ethnicity subjugating the national question of justice, peace and democracy? Why are you afraid of talking about Ethiopia warning Fustum to stick in Eritrea though we have big assignment with them? Why do we need to ignore the magnitude of external factors that affect the political system of our nation though we primarily need to clean our house? If we ignore our national question being affected by the financial and political pressures, mostly oxygenated by Ethiopia, the nation will ignore us. Please, the center of our struggle for change should be our nation and our people, not our personal ego, organizational interest, religion, region or ethnicity which are secondary; and they have to be tackled only in democratic and constitutional Eritrea. But, without building a democratic environment,it is hard to entertain with all ethnic or regional rights that Eritreans may need to have.

In my view, whatever political philosophy you have, you should not put your national interest in compromise. Whether we choose or not, PFDJ will go, but our identity, our nation and our people are always there. And I thank Futsum for his efforts to broaden our perspective looking our case from different parameters.

    Thanks All!!

    Adhanom

    Dear Fetsum:

Thank you for your insightful analysis. Although I agree with almost everything you said, I disagree with one point. This point refers to the characterization of Afwerki’s contribution to the national struggle for independence. Afwerki’s contribution in this regard, as you alleges was not extraordinary, but ordinary. He skillfully manipulated the efforts and contributions of other combatants to his favor and fame. Most of the time in critical and decisive moment, like the lunching a counterattack, he was travelling overseas abandoning the field. Thus, his role is exaggerated, and hence, subject to scrutiny and verification. History will tell as soon his real role, when some of us able to conduct an biased objected profound research. Therefore, until the truth is shed, we should not romanticize him by making him a true hero — he was not a hero , but an outright astute opportunist.

You got it all wrong brother

Blame the regime of Isaias for deporting hunderd thousand Ethiopians without their belongings in 1991,is this human?
The war was not Assab or Bademe it was an economic question by the Eritrean regime to own and to dictate the Ethiopian economy and it didn’t work
During the war Ethiopia occupied more than twenty five kilometer inside Eritreia our cities and our people in the west and mid west were under the Ethiopian army and you are concerned most of all about Assab?are you serious ? Waht about all the land and people that fell under the Ethiopian army? they are not more worthy than Assab? Here is a story
a country man lost his rifle and all his bullets to a bandit on his way home and when he got to the village everybody was asking him what happened to his rifle and bullets and he replied to the villagers that the bandits on his way home has taken his rifle and bullets and they saw the empty bullet holder on his chest what about the bullet holder asked a villager and the guy replied that on my dead body. hope you got it what I am trying to say
Fitsum please forget about the empty bravado, we have witnessed enough during the 1998-2000 war with Ethiopia when all the diaspora in vacation in Eritrea with their kids where running all over the Embassies to get out safe with there kids, and who is going to die for the country, you guessed it our poor fellow citizens who are left behind is this what you want to see again ? please spare us

Do you think he was doing it for the sake of the front? As a leader should’t he be accountable for all the lives lost just because they have different views than him?

Isaias made so many crimes while leading the front by killing so many fighter with out any due process of the law (Menka, Yemen, and so many in Halewa Sewra)
Do you think he was doing it for the sake of the front? As a leader should’t he be accountable for all the lives lost just because they have different views than him?
to be honest he was a power hungry from day one and he was eliminating any possible tegadalye who thinks is going to confront him on his power grip.”

          THE END JUSTIFIES THE MEANS

“I think first we must love our beautiful well cultured people, because its our people that make Eritrea and then we love the land Eritrea.”

WITH ALL RESPECT WE BETTER LOOK AT ISSUES FROM THE OBJECTIVE POINT OF VIEW

Please stop condemning Meles for deporting Eritreans. To be honest regarding this point except Dawit Mekonnen, the rest of you are simply pretending. By your crocodile tear no serious Eritrean will be fool or be impressed. Because as above attempted to give the reasons since there was going war, Meles´s responce, according the military strategy of defense and security point of view reasons, he has not complitly mistaken. If you like to condemn, condemn Isayas Afeworki for his irresponsible reaction. It was suppose to be his primary responsibility not the other way the enemy we considering should to worry for our people safty. After all Meles was sending back Eritrean to their homeland , while Isayas more than that number he inforcing real Eritrean to leave their homeland and immigrate, so that to be died in Sinai and Mediterranean sea in embarrassing form. Like it or not i am very pleased because Eritrean deported to their homland because i believe they can build Eritrea and developing the economy, and Eritrea should to belong first to real Eritreans. In this deportation case the most who have headache is Isayas Afeworki and likes are only. This is why they systematicall inforcing real citizens to flee from their homeland and attempting to substitute by mixed and Tewolge citizens. Like in Eritrea it never seen else where, when second class citizens seen abusing the right of originals. This odd thing atleast it should to come to normality. But please don´t understand me wrong, inother side i strongly condemn also when i see the original citizen attempting abusing the right of second class citizens. Actually there is no first and second class citizens, if our nation was be ruling by real rule of law. And if we be able live peacefully with our neighbors.

    MR FETSUM
DO YOU REALLY THINK WITH ALL CERTAINTY THAT MR AFEWRKI IS AN ICONIC LEADER WHO DIRECTED OUR STRUGGLE TO SUCESS? WITH DUE ALL RESPECT, HOW DO YOU CALL OUR SITUATION A SUCESSFUL INDEPENDENT? DO YOU THINK HE BECAME A DICTATOR AFTER INDEPENDENC OVER NIGHT? WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THIS MAN DID NOT HAVE AN ULTERIOR MOTIVE RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING? I AGREE WITH YOUR POINT, HE IS TOO EVIL SO HE CAN’T BE ERITREAN IS A FOOLISH ARGUMENT. IN REALITY, EVIL SOUL EXIST IN ANY SOCIETY. THE ORIGINALITY DEBATE, MR AFWERKI OWE US THE ERITREAN PEOPLE AN EXPLANATION WHY HE CHOSE TO LIVE IT OPEN TO DEBATE. YET, I DON’T THNIK IT IS FAIR FOR US ERITEAN TO BE TOLD THAT HIS ORIGEN IS NOT OPEN TO DEBATE. IT SHOULD BE OPEN FOR DISCUSSION. WHAT DOES HE HAS TO HIDE; WHAT IS HE AFRAID OF?. AS ANY OTHER PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD, WE ERITEAN HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW WHO OUR LEADER IS. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK? EARLY ON SOME SMART ERITREAN PICKD UP HIS PHONINESS WHEN HE FAKED AN “ANSESBA” ACCENT. ONE HAS TO WONDER HOW HE MANAGED TO KEEP HIS ACCENT AFTER LEAVING MORE THAN 30 YEARS AWAY FROM THE AREA. HE LIVED IN ASMARA BEFORE THAT. DO ASMARA PEOPLE HAVE “ANSEBA” ACCENT? HE KNEW WAHT HE WAS DOING. ABOUT HIS ORGIN, HE HAS TO COME CLEAN. WE THE ERITREAN PEOPLE DESERVE TO KNOW THE TRUTH. PFDJ SYSTEM DID NOT HAPPEN OVERNIGHT. FROME WHAT I SEE, PFDJ WAS HATCHED AND NURTURED FOR YEARS SO IT CAN BE DELEVERD TO BE COME THE DEATH OF US. DON’T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT. LOOK WHAT IS HAPPING TO OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN SINI. IT IS MAKING ME SICK TO MY STOMACH.
