Two of the musicians and members of Aser Band currently touring Europe have abandoned the so-called Biddho Tour to seek asylum in Sweden. The organist Abdelrehim Abdela and one of the guitarists, Tedros Weldemichael, have discontinued their associations with the propaganda machine Aser Band, thus also the regime, according to our contacts in Sweden. This occurred after they had performed in Stockholm on the eve of New Year, 31st of December.
Furthermore, Aser Band’s planned concert performance in London, January 7th 2012, was cancelled because Aser Band lost its key musicians and because the English government refused to grant entry visa to Aser Band.
This is nothing new. Eritreans of all walks of life, professionals and public personalities have been abandoning their country and immigrating to other countries since 2001. The failed economic, social and political policies of the totalitarian PFDJ regime are the sole cause of Eritrea’s production of thousands of refugees and asylum seekers forcefully chased away from their dear country.

Shanon Abeda, 15, is representing Eritrea at the Alpine Skiing competitions. The boy wasn’t born until much later after independence. He was barely a one year old tot outside during woyane’s invasion of the motherland. What possibly could this boy have wronged Assenna, to ignore his achievements. This shining star named Shanon Abeda is representing a nation that the Awassa group is trying to cripple. I wish he had represented the nation (Canada) that has given him everything, but I have no problem with his choice.

I feel sorry for those respected and from a well regulated families try hard to persuade the street boys and girls with logic. Brothers, you are missing the point how to communicate with such kinds of guys. They have special language; use that language or ignore them. They don’t know logic brothers and thieft is a right in their dictionary. These are people who surrender to power only. Dealing with respect and logic with these guys means as if you are crying for assistance in a desert with no scene of life. Please, brothers discuss with each other and forget about these guys. More than ten years people are trying to persuade them, but with no result. It is better to seek for other methods.

I didn’t hear in my life a robber responded for a plea of mercy from his victims. Expecting respect and logic from street boys is near to insanity. A thief doesn’t acknowledge his robbery except when he is behind the iron bars. Abdi, war is ugly and it benefits no one. Eritrean air force have also killed children and women in Mekele when they bombarded a school so we are not exactly saints but this does not mean the mindless woyane soldiers had the right to do what they did. We have to forgive and move on as we did before but the most important point to note here is PFDJ are just using woyane’s ill deeds as a propaganda as part of a banal nationalism campaign.
Woyane and PFDJ used to be two sides of a coin or two bum cheeks in the same pants and when that was the case we were being preached how wonderful these people were and now vice versa. the Mafia boss is more Woyane than anyone else.
