    ato Saed Salih,
Thank you for your frank interview. I urge many other former members of the evil Halew Sewras to speak up. This is for all Halewa Sewras in Jebha and Shaebia.

  • Wolde March 6, 2013

It is very interesting interview. He is exposing the regime run by criminal individuals. However, there are some statements that made me feel loose his credibility. All the individuals whom he (Sead)remeberes were in prison (Senbel), are all with Muslim names. How come? Would it be true?

    • ahmed saleh March 7, 2013

      Woldu
To tell the untold stories about Eritrean moslems injustices issues doesn’t mean he ignore others but
to raise awareness for listeners . We as Eritreans must tolerate , feel the pain and comfort one onother.
AFINCHA INTE TAHARIMA SI AYNI TENEB’E . We are connected as a society . If we care to eachother HGDF might
not exploit the people to prolong its authority . Seriously speaking fell me to feel you , do not neglect
me because at the end we are ERITREAN BROTHERS who died side by side at needed time .
Any Eritrean cry is our cry and the happiness is our happiness .

      Wolde,
Two of the persons Saeed mentioned as prisoners in Sembel were genuine names. Mohamed Nessour a merchant from Aderde (he has a daughter married in Canada) was later released from prison but died a natural death.
The other one Wad Ejeil (beni Aamer) was a governor during the Derg regime and was instrumental in smuggling Abdulla Idris to Aghordat in the Eghties for a secret meeting with Derg officials against the EPLF.
I think there is a reason why Saeed recalled those names. They all – including Saeed- came from the same region (around Mansoora) and with probably tribal connections.
It is naturally easy to always recall individuals from your own region.
I was expecting Saeed to mention other names but he apparently opted for the ones that came first to his mind.
Anyway Saeed has tried to clear his conscience and done his bit. Hopefully others former Halawa-Sawra members will follow suit.

      Welde;
We are all eritreans here and we should care for every individual Eritrean be it a moslem or a christian. Why do u see you self as a christian instead of an Eritrean? When u let this thought go then you will see that a mistreated moslem Eritrean is as good a brother as the christian Eritrean to all of us. I think brother Said shared what he knows with us without bias. He talked about Bitweded, for example, and that shows he was balanced.
We will benefit better when we take an information as is.

      Hi Wolde,
I guess it is normal to feel that way, because in my experience when people tell their story in paltalk or radio interview, when it comes to a Muslims name, they most likely forget his/her name and say a tigre or saho or bilen or Afar guy or lady. But when it is from their region they remember their name fully or as Wedi…..

So don’t worry it is normal to think that way.

One of the best exposures of the demonic modus operandi of HGDEF. This is by far one of the greatest ASSENNA.com interviews. Every Eritrean should listen attentively to this excellent- and horrorific terror stories exposure- interview with former Halewa Sewra and internal security member of Eritrea’s brutal regime, Mr. Said Saleh, a very brave man has chosen to speak up and hopefully more former EPLF members and PFDJ members will do the same. We need to heal Eritrea. We need to get rid of this Mafia diabolic regime.

  • dekiabat March 6, 2013

I was thinking the same thing.Absolutely you are right.

  • Amazing March 7, 2013

You can conclude that ” Forto – 2013 ” was a pure setup by the mad dog . Wedi Ali was betrayed by his close allies who said it was not suitable for them to execute the work . Sebhat Ephram was just a regular secretary (very hard to say he is a full General ) .

The only way to get rid of the mad dog is “to shoot him at point blank” . This can be executed by not more than five guys maximum .There won’t be a civilized transition when there is Iesyas.

  • Kalighe March 7, 2013

I think there are a lot of ex-Halewa Sewra members who are living abroad and could talk freely about their experience, but are not willing to tell people what they were doing, instead they are living hiding from public view and from the regime they helped to create. One main reason to that is because this notorious institution was like a Nazi extermination camp, and anyone who was there even for a short period cannot be a normal person. When you work in a “slaughter house” you cannot be a normal person. For instance, I remember a few years back people talking about an ex-Halewa Sewra secretary (a lady) that was seen in a pro-Higdef demonstration pictures in USA, posted on Asmarino site. There is no doubt this lady knows a lot more than Said Saleh but she has chosen to remain silent. Many members of the so-called National Security Agency are people who have a lot of blood in their hands, and will never allow the regime to fall, mainly for personal reasons. All those implicated in such serious crimes are part of Iseyas’ inner circle of crime syndicate. Hence, no one in his right mind should think this people will allow a peaceful transition to democracy in the country. They are too sophisticated and diabolically intelligent and they are expected to fight to the bitter end for defend the regime and themselves, even if that mean the country will bleed for an indefinite period, giving any pretext as excuse.

Amazing, good idea, but it is like the story of the rats and the cat… who is going to put the bell on the neck of the cat… who is going to kill the Dictator ?????????

    • Kalighe March 7, 2013

” who is going to put the bell on the neck of the cat ”

      Hagerawi

To start with, dictators are made when people think they represent their ideals or political ambitions. But once they get on top, even the most stupid ones learn to manipulate people.
In the end, as time passes while the country continues to bleed, and the dictator gradually loses prestige, he becomes a coward in the eyes of those who have nothing to lose because they have already lost everything. It’s in such situations that dictators are shot and killed, some times brutally. That was the end of Mussolini who was caught while fleeing Italy and shot on the stop, and the case of Iseyas friend (Gadafi) is not much different. So, “who is going to put the bell on the neck of the cat” ?. Well, when things continue to go from bad to worse, some one will definitely will jump on the stage, we don’t need to look for a hero or superman … anyone will do it.

    Hawna Said Saleh
I admire your courage to come forward to share the information with you compatriot Eritreans . And
I personally appraciate the effort to raise awareness depending from your first hand witness about
Eritrean Moslems untold criminality perpetuated by those thugs inside the country . Infact in general
we weren’t smart enough to detect the smoking gun , early in 1990’s events was a clear sign to lead us
down-hill to our demise . Now it become concrete evidence that the country is getting grimmer . Here
we go with Issayas fierce legacy of popular agenda LEKAMIT HAGER called NIHNAN ALEMANAN to lead us in
crisis and ruins . How pity can it be our stupidity left the young generation to pay the price. A great
deal of consideration to understand how liberty lost in full light of day in our sacred land under our
nose , is that becauseof our cowardice , selfishness or fear , nobody knows .

    • fetsum abraham March 7, 2013

      Brother Ahmed;
I think so many christians were also purged in this saga. Please see an Eritrean as one rather than as a christian or a moslem. This is the division the dictator wants to see. Let us make this occasion for us to get closer rather than separated. Stop your moslem theory here because it is an Eritrean story in general.
      Tnx

      • ahmed saleh March 7, 2013

        Fezum
I do not think it is biased to appraciate someone who
highlights issues rarely had been mentioned among
        our discussions .

        • fetsum abraham March 8, 2013

          Dear Ahmed,
My response applies to christians equally by the way but thank u for the decent communication. Everything should be open for discussion my brother and i agree with

  • SABA March 7, 2013

The first time i heard an interview from beginning to end by understanding and clicking it.
This interview i will expose on a website for Diaspora living Eritrean (mainly younger people).
I cry for any eritrean who is suffering whether be Muslim or Christian or believing in his shoe or table. This is not meant for sell-outs of any kind.

Ahmed and Kalighe, i like both of your statements.

  • wedi Forto March 7, 2013

    What a barbaric regime!

And people wonder why the dictator speak up and do something about our brothers and sisters who are being tortured brutally in the Sinai desert? Really? There you have the answer: why would they care about these Eritreans in Sinai when they are doing exactly the same (if not worse) to Eritreans inside?

Thank you Assenna for interviewing Saed Salih. He is a very courageous Eritrean who has chosen to speak up about the barbarism that the Isayas government is conducting on Eritreans. Saed Salih, sir, I admire your courage, and I find you totally credible on all that you said on this interview. I hope others who were part of the evil regime will follow your example and expose it naked like you just did on this interview.
