    Thank you Aman to share the discussions in PALTALK in this forum .
    I hope we understand clearly Amanuel stand to question Medrek
    initiatives for Nairobi meeting is based in criticism of lack transparency and accountability rather than some people who
    misinterpret his efforts to jump for total condemnation .
    For time being I prefer to reserve my opinion in this matter
    but this kind dialogue can narrow our differences and suspicions
    if we show positive attitudes at each other.

    Part I
    Dear Brother, your understanding about people’s democratic change is very complex to me. Do you believe organization problems are more than individuals? And thus,democratic change can and can only come excluding opposition groups? If so I would say that is not politically correct. Importantly, organization/s problems, in all times and in all places, cannot be seen as being above the individuals problems. I will argue that the organization/s and the individual/s exist in a dialectical unity one taking precedence over the other depending upon the given situation at hand. Let me give an example of what I mean. An institution or an organization is not some disembodied entity. It presumes the subjective responses of individuals who make up the social totality although, at times, the social system can and does assume a life of its own as, of course, the individual.

    Part II
    A social organization/system cannot operate independently of the individual social agent. It follows therefore, that change only comes about when a social actor (an individual) acts. Such action sets in train a chain of re-actions that results in the transformation of the system/organization and even the individual.
    To argue, therefore, that the organizational problem is above the individual is not entirely correct. I would prefer to say that although an organization takes on a life of its own, it always depends upon the individual actors, who are moral agents, to set it in train. One is neither above nor below the other. They always interrelate, the relative importance of each always being determined by the particular project under examination.Thanks

    Thanks Aman for sharing you thoughts about Nairobi meeting and its implications. I am in complete agreement the fight should be about changing ourselves to think outside the old box. Medrek needs change itself first .It can’t bring appropriate change when it is so involved in past crime and it seem to seek cosimmotic change. We can learn from past mistake but repeating its to my dismay.

    Dear Elba,
    Yes, I totally agree 101% to invite Medrekh and Mr Ali Johar to Assenna debate with other Accadamy people among them. Then, people will decide which system to follow. As far as I am concern, people have to create a new forum for struggle, such as Eritrean Government in Diaspora (bottom-up) with the consent of the people(elected by people) and that by itself is a form of the Instutitional Organization which can fight the dictator and destroy it at no time.

    Dear Brother I thought you have wrong understanding on reconciliation.Reconciliation is designed to contribute to improve relationships damaged as a result of wrongdoing. Reconciliation can be held among parties, societies or individuals formerly at odds with one another any time. That is, the outcome of reconciliation is oriented toward a future marked by peaceful and just relations. Thus process of repairing relationships is most obviously valuable and important. In the political context, the cessation of violence, the prevention of future violence, or harms that were created by the conflicts of the past and the attainment of democracy are some values that may be promoted. More interpersonal contexts, the benefits of relational repair include the avoidance of bad feelings, suspicions, further harms to one’s interests. In addition to these sorts of instrumental value, one might also argue that reconciliation is valuable for its own sake. Thanks

    Honestly speaking if we want to question about somebody past , we
    must see ourselves in the mirror and ask ;
    How dump I was to support Issayas leadership without any reservation ?
    Nowadays Eritreans left behind their past to join the fight for change
    against tyranny . Medrek members are part of the opposition group where
    nobody have a right to deny their participation . We need to understand political arguments among opposition members can resolve when the actors have capacity to respect others ideas and the will to compromise for common interest .And in case of the ways leadership of Medrek handled the process of this meeting , Eritreans should speak up if they observed measures that doesn’t satisfy our struggle for united front because
    we all are the same forces in search for one goal .
    Let’s undue our past and look for reconciliation .
