It’s hard to understand why any Eritrean would oppose “Eritrea for Eritreans by Eritreans”. We want a constitutional democratic Eritrea not a new government led by a bunch of power-hungry traitors.

    • erikid August 28, 2013

Zaul, this is weyane pretending to be Eritrean. This is a weyane website. Pass it on.

      • Zaul August 28, 2013

        Erikid,

Don’t worry, I don’t believe everything I read or hear. That being said, I think all of us Eritreans (incl. PFDJ-supporters) need to sit down and honestly evaluate the state and future of our nation. Our people are perishing in the sahara, the mediterranean sea and languishing in refugee camps everywhere in the world. All of us Love our country, but we are losing the very fabric that holds us together as a people.

        • Said August 28, 2013

Zaul I was wandering fabric wed it be can you explain it, with all do respect.my brother.united we stand.

          • Said August 28, 2013

correction What kind fabric wed it be .

            Said,
Broken family structures. Children growing up without fathers. No youth left in the country to build the future and religionism, regionalism and ethnicism is killing Eritrean Patriotism.

          • ahmed saleh August 29, 2013

            Zaul
You sound like a person who made me judge you otherwise . If my feeling is true , I apologize .
We are dealing with cowards who disguise themselves with various pen-names to hit their target
which drive me to resist and stay vigilant .

        • Said August 29, 2013

Mr. zaul personally I’m one of them, if you would play father figure what would you do? For Eritrans , and you sime to be very upset what do u not like what assenna did and what would you do different, what common ground, do you look for

          • Zaul August 29, 2013

            Said,
You’re one of whom? I’m not more Eritrean than you, but I believe Our struggle for DEMOCRACY is being hi-jacked by Ethiopian national interest and our oppositions financial and organizational support is handicapping our ability to form a broad coalition for DEMOCRACY among Eritreans abroad and inside the country. I strongly believe in the Bologna intiative. If other nations wants to support us financially and otherwise, they’re welcome, but we must be in charge of our own national agenda.

          • Said August 29, 2013

If the Ethoipia are hi_jackie, the agenda for democracy, where is the person that being hijacked or the leader don’t you think Eritran are hijackings them self, because the the dictator singing the same song, if the Ethiopia look for there interest, why not we , is it possible to sit on one table with them, for our interest don’t you think, do you think that’s impossible?

        • Zaul August 29, 2013

          Ahmed,
I don’t take things personally, no worries. Let’s just exchange ideas.

      • Said August 28, 2013

Do you have a better solution, put it down, my friend.erikid let’s hear it, I know you brought ,

        • erikid August 29, 2013

I think, as long as Isaias is in Eritrea, Eritrea is safe from Ethiopia. Ethiopia’s hands are tied. Now, they are lying to the people so they can get rid of Isaias and get Eritrea. Eritreans know that. There is nothing Ethiopia can do. The only thing Isaias ever did was keep Eritrea safe. That is why Agames hate him. When Isaias is gone, another Isaias will come. Eri will always be for Eritreans by Eritreans forever!!!!!!

        • Zaul August 29, 2013

I don’t think it’s possible to sit at the same table as Ethiopia right now. As an opposition you must be able to have a stand on the border issue as a national matter. You can’t bite the hand that feeds you. Ethiopia is interested in a weak and fragmented Eritrea Post-Isaias. It’s also important to involve the masses by asking for finding and participation now, so they defend their hard-won democracy later. Democratization is process that can not simply be won in the battle-Fields.

    Dear brother Aman
Thank you to prove yourself how genuine Eritrean nationalist you are who sacrificed your young age life for the
love of your people to see them free and in better hands . You are the voice of our silenced patriots inside or
outside the country either from national service recruits or ex-fighters to continue the struggle beside them. Sometime Anyway , listening your detailed speech about Eritrean political obstacles . Two friends in our forum clicked in my head.
1st , Belay Nega used to say ; OUR PROBLEM IS DEEP ROOTED .
2nd , New Hope said ; “stop blaming ISSAYAS blame ourselves . Both of them sound crazy though .
ZIB’EE ADKHA GEDIFKAS NI ZIB’EE GEDOBO ADKHA .

    • ahmed saleh August 28, 2013

      In Ghedli time when were young and innocent about politics used to tell us that ;
” our struggle against outsider enemy is easier than fighting our internal enemy ” .
Now I found it true based on my own eyes witness and matured intelligence

      • Said August 29, 2013

Dear br ahmed the question mr. Zaul it goss to you too?

        • ahmed saleh August 30, 2013

          Said
Tolerance and understanding only bring us together . Since our brother Zaul stand for Eritrea
defense for it’s sovereignty and political reform for democratic agenda ,his ideas is secondary.
The more we communicate the more we get closer if we maintain with honest approach . Keep it up
to express your self with civility for your own advantage to learn new things in life , respect .

  • Efrem Mengisteb August 28, 2013

That’s a wonderful thought that analysis the deeper understanding of political oppositions unsuccessful journey towards democratic change . More importantly you identified the main issues that hindered the collective effort of nationalists to reach out the entire people to end the life of the barbaric regime and its dictator. You also mentioned how we can achieve our primary and comon goals to oust the tyranny. Above all I wonder your analysis regards to Ethiopias gov.national interest and thire involvement in support of the opposition groups has been misinterpreted by many gropus and individuals in all sides.the perception of the silent majority also well divided in Ethiopias involvement in all aspects of the democratic struggle as a base and important allies. However as this article recommend we have one and one choice to look forward a better future in our sovereign country with out any past excuses by complying with the modern world economical, social and political values that reckons in our long struggle for independence.
