In some poor countries people protest in streets for unblanced
price hike on daily neccesities to survive . I remember long
time ago how Egyptians brought chaos into streets because the
price of loaf bread increased by ten cents . But in Eritrea for
reason hard to comprehend people become dormants . In fact ,
to watch silently their own youngs forced on risky and deadly
future disturbs the mind of observers . I try not to judge them
from my comfort zone but we can hide our share to their pain .
I think it shows the dangerous dictatorial rule power effects on
    human beings spirit .

    Selam Ahmed

The Eritrean situation is similar to none in the world.

    1. The ruthless regime has been terrorizing our people for many decades. So many civilians were killed in order to create fear among the population. Add to that the regime’s divide-and-rule tactic thanks to Ato Isyas and his cronies such as Yemane Gebrab.

    2. The beastly organization – in its internal pfdj circle and in its old Halewa Sewra internal circle – has committed untold atrocities. The ruthlessness and barbarity of the punishments and torture is so harsh. Those who passed through these experiences remain badly damaged goods, in need of healing.

    3. The old EPLF and its new form pfdj succeeded to conceal their true colours and were able to mislead people to (a) to support them due to lack of information and (b) to be fearful of the regime in and out of the country for perceived threats even where the regime’s hands cannot reach.

    4. The Eritrean people are fighting for their survival in every sense of the word. They are hungry, they are in trenches, they are languishing in prisons/detention centers, they are fleeing their country…

    5. The savage organization, pfdj regime, has controlled every sector of the nation’s source of popular power.

There is no normalcy in Eritrea. Therefore, in the absence of basic needs and basic liberty, where there is no rule of law…it is not possible to stage resistance or peaceful demonstrations.

The sad thing is that those of us living out of the county seem to accept the current situation as normal, and we have turned into spectators while our people perish.

    God forgive us all.

    My fellow Selemawi
Let’s hope to witness the wall of fear conquered by people’s power .
Patience has limit when situation went too far out of control .
Men/women with integrity influence with positive for heaven sake .
Keep up the blessed good deeds to defend the weak and unfortunate .
Dammy followers life time is short lived because unjust causes ,
illogical arguments and unfounded beleifs are fragile at any period .
Most deleyti fithi must learn not to be followers but leaders to speak
the truth only the truth for common good .

Selam bxay Selamawi, Yes indeed the dictator is cruel since day one on his joining the revolution. His first priority was to secure his position as the only man in the whole country. He create invisible cells from his center and stretch it out 360% \degree\. We used to call them ‘Wahayo\ or\Qarma\. As revolutionary there were a great need or call for a Hero to lead our struggle to victory ON THOSE DAYS. Unfortunately, he took the opportunrty, and an evil man like Isaias came out of those numberless heroes. The problem is why is hard to figure it out who this man is for 50 years long. We all know how this bastard survive for this long. His main machine, number one pillar is HALLEWA SOWRA or SECURITY ZONE. May be other invisible heavy hands above him, who knows.
Regardless of his survival tools why we couldn’t discover it sooner than later is our weakness not any one else. As ordinary Eritrean I feel shame for not challenging him. Instead to see my country to run by this evil person. As whole our society to be trapped in this atmosphere it is sad to say at least. Sad indeed. By all means we have to break the chain. It could be harder, but nothing is harder if there is a will. Lets take Dejen as an example, the pilot that he had trying every thing he could to find justice but for no avail. Then he took his own way break the chain. And he made it to the save zone. If for DEJEN THE HERO IS POSSIPLE. WHY NOT, FOR US AS PEOPLE IS HARD TO BREAK THE CHAIN OF THE DICTATOR ONCE FOR ALL. As for me no excuse is acceptable.

      Aradom
Unless our people recognize his tactics of divide and rule , the unneccessary
lost in all aspects of life inside the country won’t end . And the bitter truth
on the ground will keep hunting us like nightmare .
“Seb nab sebu , ZibeE nab gherebu ”
We may hide facts but couldn’t run from facing its consquences .
I do not know if they killed in Adi Teklay in late 1970’s may safe our people
eventhough his popularity was at highest level in Kebessa which was very
dangerous and complicated scenario to consider .

      Selam to you too Oqbai,

You rightly wrote: ‘Regardless of his survival tools why we couldn’t discover it sooner than later is our weakness not any one else.’

I am sincerely astonished that it took us this long to know what we know, and who knows what is still hidden. Some compatriots have told us what they have known for decades! No one has dared to expose the monstrous practices of the current Internal Circle of PFDJ (a secret organization within the pfdj itself), how the security services operate…
Information is power. If we know how the current pfdj operate we, the people, can counter or at least protect ourselves from being targeted (especially inside Eritrea.)

Eritrean heroes will jump onto tanks … but when it comes to challenging the monster organization that is decimating them and the people they defend/died to defend, our compatriots have not shown courage and farsightedness.

If we are to win against pfdj in all fronts (including their divide-and-rule and deceptive activities of scre mongering

If we are to win against pfdj in all fronts (including their divide-and-rule and deceptive activities of scare mongering) sharing information/raising awareness is vital tool.

I hope we will coalesce, unite and rebuild what pfdj has been dismantling.

      May God forgive us all

Lay man economics. Due to eritrea communist economic policy productivity is very very very slow. Most of the production time is wasted on propaganda and brainwashing. The result as in dictatorial state is then a government with full control of the already scarce productions. And the government needs money and luckily the one million or so diasporas send money to their idol family member. If you get money with out producing then the money changes to paper in a
scary speed.so the government increase the value of goods to meet its goal. So diaspora must increase remittance and many must flee to balance the remittance.

Now you know how eritrea is number one in producing refugees compared to its population and peacefulness.

Hi friends if Issaise and Hagos kisha are being assumed as an Ethiopian we must think that we all belongs to Ethiopian citizen by their nature. This point needs to ignor people who leader Eritrea needs to have visionery and commited to make the citizen rational and modern as far as Eritrean I observed that we are in problem with a lot of backward centiments we are thinking as if unique human being from the rest of the world. and we need to recognize ourselve we are the member of the world population. So I always suggest to say we are an African and Habshas nor European or Amercans or Singerpoors. We are still Eritreans.
