EMDHR condemns the treatment of Eritrean refugees in Egypt, unjustly arrested for peacefully demonstrating against corruption by the UNHCR Egypt office.  We call on UNHCR to fulfil its mandate to protect the rights of Eritrean refugees and to undertake a transparent investigation into the allegations levelled at its Egypt office.

We also call for the immediate release of the 5 Eritreans detained on Sunday 21 July for nothing more than asserting their rights. We will continue to engage with UNHCR, partner NGOs and the Eritrean community in Egypt to ensure an end to the suffering of those who have already suffered so much.

About which identity you are talking ?
You are the ones saying we can’t live with Amhara … they hate us, they are our historical enemies … bla bla
Tigreyan and Amhara war lords (shiftas) were fighting each other for 150+ years, mostly about who controls the Ethiopian highland for looting.
Now that history is over. The yesteryear’ victims have finally managed to raise from the ashes.
While Tigreyans cannot go to Shoa, the Amaha are crying from Bah Dar.
How does it make sense for you to talk about Eritreans’ identity while in your country people are being killed simply for being from a different community ?
    What a shame !!

The so-called Government in Eritrea ended up being the worst enemy of Eritrean people.
After selling the country piece-by-piece to the highest bidders, they just watch while people suffer even in countries they claim to have good relations with. They simply want Eritreans to vanish.
And yet some stupid people call these killers “my government”.

Wedi Berad is the enemy of the Eritrean people. He is worse than the DERG or Ethiopian colonizers. There is no reasonable explanations that there are people still call him Eritrean Government.

Why my comment deleted? Is that technical or a sort of” no win no loose “to the confront of vulgar stand which not mine as principle.?
