ERITRAN-TORONTONIANS IN SUPPORT OF THE JANUARY 21st GLORIOUS MOVEMENT:

Press Release

January 28, 2013

Eritrean-Canadians in Toronto and its surrounding held an extensive meeting on Sunday, January 27, 2013 to register a noble position in history by welcoming and paying homage to the heroes of January 21st, considering the glorious occupation of the Ministry of Information and the radio and television stations it houses a measure taken in the right direction, heralding a march of history that will achieve the aspirations of our people. The participants included members of political parties, civic organizations and independent Eritrean nationalists, constituting all national forces that trust change is at the corner and that our National Defence Forces, supported by mass political protests inside the country and all-round support of Diaspora Eritreans,  will be the engine. The participants highly valued the launching of a new phase of our national struggle, at the heart of which are our National Defence Forces, and which is triggering a country-wide movement and protests so much dreaded by the butcher and his gang of criminals.

During the extensive discussions, as the first step, the participants exchanged information and briefings on the political background of the movement, its scope, its national impact and reflections on international media. Going into the details of the political background of the heroic movement of the Eritrean National Defence Forces, the participants emphasized that the movement shows it has become impossible for the honourable and uncorrupt sons and daughters of our people, who really represent the needs and concerns of the entire Eritrean society, to go along with the regime that gives certificates to indulge in loot, plunder, killing and all atrocities unheard of in this civilized world.  This glaring reality is found to be so because our military men and women are tested by national struggle, feel the pains and miseries of their people and keep in view the criminal nature and dictatorial attitude of the regime and the criminal gangs associated with it.

Much longer time was devoted on the cardinal importance of mass action, ways and means of  support expected from all Eritrean forces of change, the moral obligations of our neighbours, particularly Ethiopia, the Sudan, Djibouti, and Yemen in particular, and  the international community in general  and how their cooperation should be ensured.

In the later part of the discussions, all supporters of the dictatorial regime which chose to rule by a sword,  were urged to wake up from their illusions and interact with the reality currently on the  ground in Eritrea, advising them that   politics is the game of the realistic, not the illusionists or living on assumptions. The participants also addressed the naysayers warning them that they will eat their words as the game goes on without a hitch and our National Defence Forces, with the support of the people rallying behind them, become victorious, dismantling the dictatorial regime and initiating a democratization process in which all national forces without exception will be participating.  Furthermore, the meeting identified that another feature that symbolizes the ruling party and its government is their penchant to lie and intimidate. In this connection, the participants expressed their dismay at the statements given by some government officials, in which they described the movement as a terrorist act. It is worthy of mention that the participants unfailingly showed a consensus that such a shameless lie from an uninformed thug, who likes the glare of the cameras, comes as no surprise, and that the moral deprivation of the criminal gang has never been more evident than it is now.

The participants formed a task force that will coordinate all forms of support to be given to our gallant forces and the committee immediately started its work. It was finally concluded that Isayas’s back will be to the wall and he will have no means whatsoever to hang on to power, if we support our heroes by all means.

Glory to our National Defence Forces!

    Hi guys,
I am proud by your courage and wonderful support for the Forto heroes. But the best & meaningful protest ( demonstration ) is not infront of Eritrean embassy but infront of its financiers & thier capital markets. It would be meaningful if we do infront of Tornto Stock exchange market , where Nevsun stocks is listed. If we do demonstration against Nevsun, its stocks will be plummeted and will soon cancel its business transaction with the dictator regime. The same action should be taken against the Australian mining companies. We should have war against the mining companies so that the DIA loose its mining income. Once it loose the mining income, he can’t even pay the monthly salary, then the people in home country will be forced to protest against him.

That sounds like CIA-talk. Please come with ideas that will not result in an immediate hunger of little Eritrean babies whose parents survive on the little they get every month.

Evrey Eritrean should be Proud with the FORTO January 21, 2013 event. Even though the action taken was the begining and not the final and binding but it will give a warning sign to the Eritreans who are suporting the shifta leaders of the so called Eritrean government. Those of you who think that the group on top of the government are representing your ethinic group then you are wrong. The shifta group does not give a damn about Eritrean culture and Eritreans and to distroy their religous believes. He does not care about Hamassien or Chritains. He only care about himself. He fulled you once in the past and do not give him a chance to full you again. I argue you to join the peace loving Eritrean people inside and out side Eritrea and our Eritrean Defence Forces. The Eritrean Defence Force are not the broperty of Issais (Mad leader)but yours to defend you and your beloved country Eritrea.
