The initiave is excellent. However i have some issues on its implimentation. In my view the diaspora no matter how well we are organized it would not force the dictator out of power. We have never seen in history dictators removed without the help of foreign power who have interest in the downfall of the regime. The Eritrean case would most likely have a violent end. And the regime has been arming civilians witge with the clear intention of creating another Somalia, after his departure.I definitely support the idea og Global Eritrean Unity. This has to start first from all the opposition medias, who have never been working togther for the same goal. A collective media action should be the priority. And this symbilic unity would agitate the rest of the diaspora community to do the same.
Finally even though some sections of out people hate the involvement of Ethiopia in our struggle, however realistically speaking the change that we all dream could not be materialized without them.

      Bhdma hager badima ,

Forget the opposition ,you and I need to be the new third tegadelti with moral ,finance and military..Our people have been scattered with opposition that have nostalgia of the civil war and endless useless argument without compromise.
Forget them .We are under immediate danger ,we need to rescue our people.
I WANT ALL OF YOU TO REPEAT WITH ME THE FOLLOWING OATH.

      1) I shall not depend on any opposition but myself and my peole. I am not opposition I am saviour of my people as opposing pFDJ is not my first priority but mechanism to save my people.I shall suspend all my secondary principles in order to save my people.

      2) I shall not use the followers of PFDJ as a pretext to lose hope and wallow in my misery and avoid my national and morale duty.

      3) I shall respect my shepherds but never worship them ,as I did to Isaias.

      4) I do not accept quitting ,temporary failure will make me strong .WE SHALL TRUIMPH !!!!!!!

Allow me to say my comment on the article.
I concur fully with the historical analysis and meticulous plan. My question is if the “THIRD ERITREAN PEOPLE’S STRUGGLE” (TEPS) will function as a new opposition setup or an “Advocacy Group”. Honesty I don’t see many new insights in the article. All those issues were said by all the opposition groups for decades now. What I see lacking is a kind of epicenter that can bring together all the groups under one umbrella to unseat the dictator. Multiplying parties and opposition groups will not help much. Let us see the way forward to come together. I am sorry if I sound pessimistic. But it comes from a sincere concern.

      I don’t know it’s validity but long time ago I read a phrase which said ;
” prostitutes and politicians sweet talk hard to trust”.
Not to offend anyone but to express my characterization on political field players everywhere in the world . They should earn reputation of trust and respect before
we give our support . But how can I am required to show
my stand about a message of invisible group in matters
which concern me as an Eritrean ?

Dream big for leadership that lifts our vision to higher sight who can take action for realization .

You seem to call ‘our voice’ a politician and a prostitute.Nothing could be further from truth. Our voice are neither politicians nor prostitutes. Why don’t you email us or even skype if you want to learn more about our voice. For now it is better we remain under the radar to avoid infiltration and exposition.Organize your family friends and even mosque congregations.

I expect you to read and listen then analyze before you reach
on conclusion . The phrase mentioned defines politics and the
sweet talk behind it in general . It is true if you are not
informative and alerted of it’s process , you are doomed .
I never and won’t condemn any organization but experience taught
me not to give judgment based in emotion . We are tired from
political visionaries to give us false impression . For the last
couple of years Deleyti Fithi movements reached at promising
progress to lift our moral . But instead we strengthen their
capability , we prefer to form splinter groups every corner
to create confusion against intended common interest . Now ,
don’t you think I have right to express my frustration ?
NB ; If I am a member of religious congregation , I rather leave
politics in where it belong not inside holy place , that is strict
          believe of mine .
And I wish we all respect religious places policy .
HGDF disastrous practice on interfering with religious affairs
should teach us a lesson not to repeat failure against UNITY .

What we have been lacking until now was clear thinkers with vision. I believe the voice is a breakthrough in this regard. Let us help the voice realize this vision, a vision that would bring peace, justice and democracy to our people. It is good to be critical and vigilant but we should not be paralyzed by skepticism. Eritrea can get out of her misery only by well organized and coordinated struggle of her children. Let us make it happen again in the “TEPS”. The voice has transformed my pessimistic skepticism to an optimistic vigilant. I see now shimmer of light at the end of the tunnel but we can only reach there through careful navigation. The voice has now a feasible road map. Let us help them perfect it by being involved in the process.

    • san diego August 27, 2015

Our Voice will not bring us peace and democracy on their own. They will lead us to that as they have education and clear vision. I want us to respect our leaders ,but we are directing the driving.
Of course ,OUR VOICE is our Moses but we need to also be good managers and workers and not put all the praise or blame to them.I find them the bast option we have .They said they are our servants ,not our masters ,they may wah our feet ,but let us not take them for granted either.
      I see hope.

I see your point, and agree to it. However, the voice is not so far representative. To begin with, we don’t know why the group is not exposing itself. To whom are we to trust and join hands? to see the originality of the ideas, we must know first and for most with whom are we to put our trust. I know I can’t question the group’s ingenuity, but the loop hole is clear. We deserve to know our leaders for this big task.

      kifle ,

I am surprised about intelligent people like K.Tewolde arguing it does not matter the identity of our organizers is incredible.Yes it does, fear of Isaias is going to infiltrate is bull crap….If they are not intelligent enough to figure out the intruders they are not fit to be our socalled umbrella. It does not make an ounce of sense educated people advocating secretive manner to preomote democracy & in the diaspora ? People say something .

I was very exited to read this fantastic manifestos, but sorry I have to say one has to be effective and radical enough to remove The well organised faschist PFDJ
from its roots by widening the debate and including those majority who are not comfortable with english. If “our voice” is so organised to produce a fantastic article after another, why not pause give time for the masses to follow by translating the first article in tigrinea and widening its audience ? this is rapidly becoming praying to the already converted, nothing radical or revolutionary, I can not even bring myself to use the word third what ever. I agree with the comments above, no dictator was removed unless the west for its own selfish benefit interfered (Gadaffi & Saddam) lucky MUGABE despite everything against him he is still there. I also object to your unjustified and unsubstantiated romantic wishfull simplifying the “evil criminal Isseyas and his faschist PFDJ”, I regard this as an insult to my or our people’s intelligence, underestimating your enemy is the first recipe for disaster. I am very very sorry to sound pessimistic, however some times pessimists are better informed optimists, “our voice sounds to me too good to be true”. Cheguevara said it is easy to become revolutionary but very difficult to remain revolutionary. I love my people and my country beyond words, and go to bed with tears in my eyes for the undiserved suffering of our people and will need to be more radical rational than purely emotional.

      merhaba ,

My guess is OUR VOICE are playing it safe ,not to get into why not arabic too ,as Arabic has been used in Eritrean medium since Janhoy. It appears to be pointed towards tigrinya sdpeaking christians not to discriminate our moslem people, but to avoid that the kebessas will not be put off by arabic. i sam not sure if this will work.

  • san diego August 27, 2015

    Kifle Nerayo,

I hope ones the organization suceeds in uniting us under one umbrella shall show more openness.

    I agree

  • AHMED SALEH !!!. August 27, 2015

We were happy kids to alianate ourselves from every civic and political
organizations by supporting any splinter group formed . Then at the end
to look other direction in search of a new one .
Eritreans have suffered for decades because peoplesed them as political
pawns eventhough we all know well that long term support is pathway to thrive .
Now as usual we can do the talking but people inside the country lost hope long
time ago when HGDF succeeded to show his popular support from diaspora .
Again welcome into third world political game mentality at the expense of
unfortunate reality we left behind back home .
ENJOY OUR COMFORTABLE ZONE OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY FREE FROM ISSAYAS IRON
FIST RULE . And I doubt if practically speaking we are ready for the
task at this moment except the very few DELEYTI FITHI in front line .

    Mr. AHMED SALEH !!!.

This is not the time to lose hope. Ghandi was one man with an idea ,he visualized the impossible & succeeded in uniting his people. A young preacher ,ahead of his time visualized the impossible at the time, yet although his message is now adulterated by thugs Marthin Luther King changed people’s mentality. That is what we need .These educated brothers and hopefully includes sisters are telling us let us create an umbrella that will unite us all ,we shall direct you after you the people give us the green light. Ahmed ,then are we already defeated ? I beg to differ. Our defeated mentality brought us misery ,now we are reviving it with a CPR from OUR VOICE. BRother Ahmed do not close your lungs. You believed in the struggle And gave part of your life. In reality ,I never did believe in the struggle ,but ,I am willing to use these 11th hour oxygen our voice. I will march side by side with the people that believed in the struggle that I thought was unnecessary and destructive.Because,my priority principle is to save our people ,as is your’s and other former fighters. I am serious ,without pretence, I do not want history and morality to accuse me.

I head to burst your bubble & emotional predicament however your belief in our voice seems to be based on people you don’t know and ones they are outed might show this were pfdjites, regionalists or religious fanatics.
Yes doctor Tsegai replied in one of his comments a reply to a certain Hamid “What matters ios the message, not the messenger” Really ?,Isaias’s eplf/pfdj’s message were not bad ,but look where we ended.Actually IT VERY MUCH MATTERS WHO THE MESSENGER IS !. I am not going to wildly guess who our voice are ,as it would be unfair..but not doing interview with Amanuel Iyasu, no website, leadership in the shadows that only want to communicate by email or skype with just one person..It smells fishy & I am not reffering to Red sea ports.

Mr.San Diego, a goal without strategy is devoid of content, my dear. In fact, long term objectives or goals are called strategic objectives. By the way, we are not here to define terms and concepts. With due respect, try not project bossy like tone if you want to sell something good to people. Almost all human beings would like to listen when the words in the intended message are sexy.I have the right to comment on any issue that seems relevant and interesting. Taking a fraction out of context distorts facts if someone is emotionally charged.
